WTF!!!

I seriously am out of words for this book!
This will be a long review..with spoilers..

First things first.. The book starts out ok.. so your hopes are flourishing and then..

BAM the book shows it's true colors..
Rushed, stupid, poorly executed, unreal and so the list goes on..
Let me start with Colton, he is a billionaire who makes bikes and has his own crew.. With the way he acts i wouldn't trust him with a fish not a whole crew..He is just a rich pompous ass who thinks he is Robbin Hood..
On the other hand, Katarina acts innocent and all that, she hides a secret which we learn pretty fast..
As for his parents what can i say, they are supposed to be well educated and refined people coming from old money but they act like teenagers who smoke pot all the time and their best friend is also - guess what- a psychic..

The best thing though is the many similarities with the Twilight saga!!
Town Forks where her mother lives, names, her father is a cop his dad is a doctor, and many more, it really feels like the author tried to take pieces from books and make a new one..

And yet we are not even in the good part.. The sex!
Ok she is a virgin -of course- and her first time he takes the liberty to pierce her nipples -while having sex, always unprotected- and her clit.. YES, it's the right time to scream..

And don't get me started with his size!
Seriously? LAME! 11,5 inches??? Who writes those things?

But the worst part for me was when he lost his temper with no reason at all, drags her by her hair and hits, spanks(?) that was not spanking
her for hours without talking and he is just a f****** jerk..
The guy isn't an alpha male, he is clearly an abuser he is not jealous nor possessive, he is problematic with no manners and a huge idea for himself..
They even try the BDSM thing but he is just too scary..
He isn't attentive, he doesn't protect her, she is not safe with him..
She is reckless and stupid and she should run, run like the wind..
Colton is too abusive! She has to take a restraining order against him!ASAP!

And the end is coming now.. well Colton wants to teach a lesson to the one who tried to hurt Kat and got away with it, or so we think..
It scarred me for life.. He is not doing what my sweet Caleb does to those who abducted his kitten(reference to Dark Duet series).
No they -Colton and his crew- tie him -the bad guy- from his limbs with chains and they pull from different directions while ridding their bikes and *SNAP* Colton gets the head..


THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BOOK
- The editing was bad
- The writing was worse
- The sex scenes were disturbing mostly, but some were actually hot..
- The parents: Worst elite parents EVER!
- The kill, too messy..
- The references to his d*** LAME..
- The POV changes with no indication at all and leaves you wondering, who's head you 're in at the moment.
- The only possitive thing is the name Colton..

Well I finally Popped my Audiobook cherry here and it was ORGASMIC!
For me, I found the audio version of this book was way hotter than the ebook version.
I mean honestly, I was self fanning myself every few minutes and my kids thought I was batshit crazy as I stood before the air conditioner! (Don't worry I had on my earbuds)
Wow! Just WWWWOOOOWWWW!
Now that guy's voice will be playing in my head for days.
The person playing Kat's voice was not as good. Frankly, I found her voice annoying at times.
(The way she said panties just agh!) But since most of the book happened from Lyons POV, I was very good with that!
The only problem is that I can never read-listen to this book for my original intended proposes (starting a new workout routine), as it was way too engaging!
I would recommend this audiobook to anyone enjoying BDSM/Dom/sub type of book!

Well that was different. I can't say I loved this book. It was way too disturbing to make for a great read.
I should point out to all that my thoughts are mine and they are not the general consensus here. Again I am part of the unpopular opinion.

SPOILERS HERE READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Firstly,
I am trying to wrap my mind on how it's a good idea for a grown ass man of 32 to give a virgin girl (yes she is a girl at 18) two nipple and clit piercing her first time out of the gate!?
Secondly,
How could he be so cruel to her. He grabbed her by the hair and drags her to be punished for something she did not even do or had no clue she was doing. He did it for hours just to prove he was in control of his woman.
Wow I really don't get how that is hot!
Really he hurts her and gets off on it and wow that's romantic? I don't get the whole BDSM LIFE.
Sounds like he can do whatever he likes and she has to do what he says ( but he did not even tell her anything here). I am not judging here but shit he is a man of 32 he should have told her what his problem was. She can't read minds and this is her first relationship and she goes in the deep end having no clue how to swim.
Thirdly,
He should have introduced her slowly to his lifestyle of choice. Even if she is into it, she does not understand the rules if you don't lay them out for her. Again, she is not a mind reader here.
Ok so I give it a 3 stars because I can see they are both happy with their relationship and he is very alpha.
However, to me she just comes off as stupid and spineless! All the time it's yes sir!
It seems to me She has no thoughts of her own and no free will. She let's everyone decide for her. The only time she shows any spine is when she is beating the hell out of Colton's ex whores.
He slept with these "bitches" and I do mean that literally because that's what he calls them. It just demonstrates how little respect he has for anyone, not even her dad and or her mom. That is not right in my estimation. Her parents are giving and caring people who deserve more than the treatment they receive by the hero.
Now I am going to take a break from this series and read a sweet book.

Warning: explicit violence murder and secondhand account of group rape, BDSM sex, anal sex, brutal sex, and Dom/sub relationship.

I was really PISSED off with this.... this book started out GREAT!!! Like Colton was *WOW*... the man was seriously ALL THAT!!! But somehow the book kept getting worse for me... it felt like all about sex and not much of a story.... (and HECK, i LOVE sex) and then as i kept reading, a feeling of deja-vu came over me.... it REALLY started to remind me of Kristen Ashley's Dream Man series... AND THEN Colton said the word "golden" and *BOOM* that basically CONFIRMED it for me... and all i can say is;

WTF kind of ending is that? SERIOUSLY the book just stopped... does that mean that there's ANOTHER book to come... *GRRR*... NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!

LOTS OF POTENTIAL for this book, but it fell WAY FLAT in my opinion... :(

I don't think I've ever given a book one star on Goodreads before, because normally I'd just not rate it at all, but the extreme lack of editing in this book, along with some disturbing content, makes any potential this had overshadowed. And I honestly do believe this author's voice has a lot of potential, but this looks like it was written and published, without any in-between editing/self-editing steps. Normally I would just mark this as read and not rate or comment on it, but I think it's important that we as readers start letting authors know how important it is to invest in their product and business, and publish a polished work and that message can't be given via silence.

Colton Lyon doesn't know what the story is behind Kat, but when one of his crew asks to give her a try as assistant in his shop he agrees. Kat is a bit of an enigma to Colton, one minute she is a timid breakable bird and the next the temper has arisen and she is putting a man in his place. Colton realizes Kat is the one for him and introduces her to a lifestyle she never could imagine, keeping her protected though is another matter especially when he learns about her past.

There were aspects I liked, but I did have a problem with her age. She comes off a bit immature in some spots, Colton is definitely pure dom and there is chemistry between the two. Would continue to read to see where the story goes from here.

So I din't finish this book, the editing is bad the story could be good but the characters and writing style are BAD. this book had the hero, heroin and heros mom's point of view. It felt like everyone was a teen including the mom then their personalities would switch completely. I also felt like the author was trying to make us believe the characters were one way then she wanted to add somthing and even though it didn't fit she still added it The author tried to hard with the characters but it ended up feeling fake and forced.

-There's a lot of kink here, starting from the age gap, the heroine is only 19 while the hero is past 30.
- he's her boss.
-it's not insta love or insta lust, because the heroine, who was assaulted, beaten and almost gang raped months before, dresses like an old hag and suffers from PTSD and the hero doesn't feel much attracted to her in the beginning- physically. But they have a good banter and he begrudgingly likes to work with her, to be with her. I appreciated this.
- When after some time, she decides it's time she started living normally again, the hero has insta lust for her and basically decides she is the one for him.
-There's a evil ow, one of hero's ex lovers, who tries to win him back and insults the heroine but the hero won't have it. He takes care of his woman and nobody touches her.
-He also decides he will punish those who beat her and caused her bff's to commit suicide.
So, the book isn't bad because the hero is a MC member but he isn't one of those cheater assholes who many writers love so much. As soon as he sees the heroine there's no one else for him and as soon as he understands she's the one he is very loving, possessive and protective.
The heroine was quite tough too, she recovered from her PTSD (much too easily IMO) and the fact that the hero was a much more adult and mature man was good for her. She needed a man that made her feel safe.
-There's also a lot of kinky sex, with live piercings on the most bizarre places and ok, that was not a thing I particularly enjoyed since I'm a needle phobic so my eyes just rolled inside my head and my neck hairs stood up each time I read of it. And a slight BDSM too. I forgot about those scenes immediately after I've read them, except for those with the piercings that are forever printed in my memory. Too much sex just isn't for me.
-The way he punished the men that hurt her was really bad and scary, but I appreciated that he didn't want to tell her about it, to add angst to her trauma. That was really caring.
-Abrupt ending but I think this is part of a series. I don't know if I'll read them because the couple is so good and stable that I don't want anything to spoil it. Maybe I'll try one.

I loved this book. It was raw and sexy, with the Uber-Alpha Colton Lyon leading the way. He knew what he wanted in his life, and he made no apologies for it. And what he wanted was Kat.

I loved that Kat knew she was kinky, even when she was still a virgin. I was the same way. I was extremely sheltered (home-schooled), but I longed to be tied up and rode hard. Kat had been assaulted and almost raped, which she was healing from, but that didn't change who she was. She needed and wanted someone to take charge, keep her safe, and feed her kink. Colton was that "someone". (Plus, that lovely piercing of his didn;t hurt either.)

I don't understand why some people get so offended by these types of books. You may not want someone to come into your life and start making decisions for you, but that doesn't mean that it is wrong. If two people want and need this in their lives, it is an equal exchange of power, and as long as neither one abuses it, it can be beautiful.

I love what Jordan Silver says on her blog in her little mantra: " I Hate Angst, I Can't Read It, I Can't Write It." Thank you! I can't handle that from a book either. This book has no angst between the Lyon and the Kat. All angsty stuff is outside of their romance and love. I like that! I don't want to worry over whether there is going to be the big "miscommunication" or the cheating-when-he-got-drunk-and-the-break-up-that-lasts-10-years-till-she-finally-forgives-him or the "I'm so unsure of whether he'll ever love me as much as: his dead wife/lover/fiancee or his (god forbid) mother or the one who dumped him at the altar." That has been done to death and causes unnecessary stress on the reader. I love that her books have none of those situations.

AND, there is a second book coming soon. It is called Lyon's Angel, so quit complaining about the ending of the book already. It was clear that there was a part two coming out. Geez, people, it's like you have to complain about something.

Great 5th time around. I loved this and I definitely loved the Hero. There is no doubting his love for the h. Safety: There is talk of rape of h's friend and attempted rape of the h. Not descriptive, but it's there. Little ow drama from an ex, but the H doesn't put up with it and it doesn't cause problems in the relationship. Great read. No epilogue as it continues in the series.

Colton and Cat. Cat had a terrible experience just as she graduated high school and ended up moving to her Dad's to get away from all that reminded her of it. She has been hiding herself away and is still doing so, by wearing slouchy clothes and being quiet and unassuming. The author tries to make her strong and feisty and highly sexual, but also a virgin, and emotionally injured. It doesn't really work, but I was willing to go with the flow as the whole story is like a fairy tale set in biker-ville. Her friend gets her a job as the receptionist for a Bike shop... enter the Hero, the owner of the shop. Colton is this ridiculous combination of bad ass sexy guy and prince charming. He runs a bike gang but is also wealthy and altruistic. I don't think there's a single cliche that the author didn't manage to squeeze into the story. The OTT evil OW and her sleazy brother. The happy go lucky bikers (the seven dwarves but recaste as hot guys). I have to say I really enjoyed the story until the MCs finally get together and then it just got repetitive and increasingly more ridiculous, and boring. I did get the next book as the ending of this one was so abrupt and extreme, I felt I needed more closure. But it was a DNF for me.

Nothing seems to get past Colton, and it's funny how her really never misses a beat, "something on my a**?" Oh s***, kill me now, the worlds hottest man had just caught me staring at his a**." Colton doesn't hold things back the boy says what's on his mind, "the clothes, why the eff you been coming to my place looking like Broom Hilda, when you're walking around with the body of a effing bombshell. You trying to eff with my head?" He has a great way of telling Kat what his rules are, "it means you're mine, and it means when we ride you're on the back of my bike. It means when I climb into bed at night your a** better be there." He's possessive as well, "please don't tell me you're one of those chicks that don't know how your man is supposed to treat you...listen up, if you're under me, that means you belong to me, and you're my responsibility, so it's my job to look out for you...are you getting this s***, cause I'm not repeating myself,"

It had 4 stars, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

This was simply a hot mess. The story was there but it lacked any sort of structure and cohesiveness. POV changed so frequently that I kept having to re-read paragraphs to see if I could decipher who last spoke and who else was in the scene. The dialogue would actually jump from character to character with no introduction, no explanation. This made it extremely confusing and hard to follow.

The story as I mentioned was okay but it was also familiar. There were some strong similarities to Twilight. I'm usually a little more forgiving with commonalities between books since I read so many but...

1) Heroine moves into town to live with her dad, leaving mom behind.
2) Dad is sheriff of small town
3) H is from an uber wealthy family.
4) Dad is a doctor.
5) Younger sister who is all about becoming her bf and going shopping, etc.

There seems to be potential here but I will not be reading the rest of the series.

I always read reviews before I consider picking up a new book and in this case this book has a ton of bad reviews but there was something about it that made me curious, so I took a chance and bought it and am so happy I did. There is nothing I love more than finding a great new book. Yes there were some spelling and grammar errors but was it enough to effect my reading or understanding of the book? Not at all. I also noticed a lot of comments about the switching of POV’s, initially it confused me until I realized that when you see the line of asterisks you are switching POV’s. The only thing I might recommend is possibly a header to show who’s POV it is for those who aren’t able to pick up on it on their own. But I really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to the second book in this series and reading more from this author soon.

Ohh this book was bad on so many levels,,, First it hooked me in I like bad boy motorcycle stories, but this story was like the author had bullet points and then ticked them off with out rhyme or reason, hot guy - check, nieve victim girl - check, he is really a millionaire who was raised rich but for some reason talks hood - check. How does anyone not read this as a poser. We all know that rich white guy who talks street -- isn't he the joke in the movies. The sex scenes had me wanting to stage an intervention or laughing at the crude sex talk trust me laughter was not what the author should have been going for at that time. There are so many books I have read that others have labeled as abusive or controlling but I was like ehh its kinda hot in the right context but here I am telling you noooo, just noooo. And yet I read the whole book and I know you may ask why and here is the real reason I am frustrated because the formula was all there for a good book and so many people rated it highly so I kept thinking this is going to get better right, but isn't that what is said in every abusive relationship so run now run away do not go into the light....

Ok, the punctuation in this book is horrible. Horrible as having the need to read some paragraphs twice to understand wtf the author wanted to say!
In addition Lyon is chauvinist, scary and I would say disgusting as well. Having the " heroine" to be a 18 year old virgin whereas the " hero" is a 32 year old biker was something I didn't like. Sorry, but trying to convince us that she is " mature" because she went through a trauma is laughable!
Then why I give it 3 stars? Well, because however bad I thought it was and although I rolled my eyes like every 2 seconds I read it non stop for 2 hours. Let's call it a guilty pleasure and leave it at that!

This is the first book in the Lyon Series by Jordan Silver. I read the trilogy already a few years ago but I was in a book funk so I decided to read something I already knew I liked. Katarina Sloan is 18 years old, she’s just moved from Arizona where she lived with her mom to a small town in Washington where her dad is the Chief of Police. She’s not been the same since something horrible happened and her parents are hoping to break her out of her shell. Colton Lyon is 32 years old, he comes from a very wealthy family, and he owns his own custom made motorcycle shop. His employees are his crew/family and they will do anything for each other. When Jared asks Colt to hire his friend, Kat from Arizona he’s a little worried she won’t fit in. When Colt meets Kat she’s shy and has her body covered in clothes that are two sizes too big. But she surprises him when she lands a million-dollar deal with a customer who was reluctant to deal with Colton. Colt is confused by his feelings towards Kat because she is totally not his type. When he finds out her story and what led her to moving with her dad permanently he’s determined that no one will ever hurt her again.

Do not waste your time or money. First of all it was hard jumping from one POV to the next since there was no prior warning. You will spend more time trying to figure out who is talking in the book and because the editing is soooooooo bad you don't know if they are thinking it or saying it. You cannot overlook the errors when you to reread several times.

he is Domineering,possessive, alpha biker, rich and owns a customer bike store. He tells her what she can and cannot do and she is expected to heel like a dog.The age difference (she is 18 and he is 32) didn't bother me. The relationship developed way to fast. He treats her like a kid but wants to screw her all day. She is submmissive and has a good heart..has been through a very traumatic experience and is trying to build up her self esteem. The dialogue is confusing as hell.

Don't kick yourself if you go ahead and purchase this book.

American chopper meets bdsm ... plus some fun on the side.. lets just say I ENJOyeD.. i love that it was about the bikes for him mostly and not about the bullshit. yes i love biker books but most of them arent about racing, or riding they about the sex, drugs, and other bull. altho i love those books you can only read so much about guys banging random girls in the club house.. lol it gets old. so this was an interesting twist. it mixed the authors good points which ... is TRAIN WRECK SEX. and added a good storyline as well. this was my cup of tea. So many times people write alpha males into dicks. Real alpha's know how to act. ya they may lose there damn mind from time to time. but real alpha's know how to act period\\

This was one of the worst books I have read and I feel bad typing those words. First the editing is horrible. Simply horrible. On one page, you could be reading three characters point of view. I actually read pages over again to figure out which character was talking. The sex scenes were extremely unrealistic. Spoiler***Lose your virginity and get intimate piercings at the same time. Roll my eyes at the stupidity. I would only recommend this book if it was free. Don't waste your money.

Forks, Arizona, father is the chief of police, spider monkey, .... If you are going to publish something you wrote as fan fiction, you need to change the original author's words! The only reason I gave it one star is because I thought parts of the sex scenes e hot...other parts were too fake. And the story had potential.

I gave a 3 to the bundled trilogy, but I'm giving the audio a 4. It's just so much better to hear it. It gets rid of the odd issues with punctuation, etc. Plus, it's got several different narrators to voice different parts.

Bottom line, if you're curious and you have some audible credits laying around - give this a whirl rather than reading.

This is NOT a Motorcycle Club book. Yes the guys ride motorcycles and work in building them but they are not a club.

I did not think that I would enjoy this book but surprisingly I did. Yes there where lots to not like but overall this was a good book.

I like my possessive, arrogant, uber alpha, man's man caveman kind of guy and Colton was all this and more. He was never mean towards Kat, he was completed devoted to her & all he wanted to do was protect her.

There where a lot of similarities to other books (twilight), I would have preferred for the h not to have been so young. At that age young woman need to find themselves before they are thrown into a serious relationship esp with school but then again this is fiction!.
The sex was very well written, the story enjoyable.

When you read this book, read it with an open mind and remember this is a work of fiction do not compare it with reality. Yes the author went over board with the sex and the piecing's and the alpha dominating hero but Colton was good towards Kat he stood up for her gave her courage and was a sweet guy towards her. Sure there was major editing errors but given a chance this book was good. Looking forward to Lyon's Angel next.
