Brett Quinlan is shocked and disturbed by the sudden disappearance of Christians all over the world, and now he is forced to examine his own faltering faith. Soon war, earthquakes, famine and disease ravage the earth like never before, and the young lawyer and part-time pastor finds himself leading a remnant and fighting for survival. After organizing the Christian Safe House Network, the new Global Government goes on the offensive and rounds up the Christians in work camps attempting to force them to give up their faith. Brett comes to realize that the only hope for Christians to survive is to flee to the last safe place for people of the tiny embattled nation of Israel. Israel doesn’t seem to have a chance against the rest of the world, but Brett and the Christians know the only true Ruler of this world is about to return, defeat the Global Government, and usher in a new the Millennium.

I am blessed to have been born and raised in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and exposed to great literature early on. From the old McGuffy Readers to C. S. Lewis, these early influences lead me to study English in college. I worked in finance for several years, but in time I took advantage of an opportunity to move to Atlanta and pursue my calling as a teacher and an author. My passion is to use language and literature to point people to Jesus, because there is no more thrilling feeling than to be forgiven, changed, and loved by the Creator of the Universe.

If you can read this knowing it's Total fiction and not at all true to scripture, then you'll be able to enjoy it. I was able to do that until it began getting near the end of the book, about the last 60 pages. At that point, the theology was so obviously messed up it was just too frustrating for me. Because of how it plays out, I was constantly reminded of important things the author had left out of the book or totally mangled, so I was unable to enjoy it. I actually began to wonder if he had studied prophecy at all before writing this. I thought at first perhaps the author just had a different take on eschatology (end times) which would have been fine, but I couldn't find that he was following any particular stance. Bottom line: if you don't care at all if it's true to scripture, then maybe you'll enjoy it. But then why would a Christian not care what scripture really says about something? I hate to give it such a low rating, because the main characters and plot were quite interesting....but....

Well done, sir

Enjoyed reading your thoughts about the "end of days". While there certainly are differences in how some see these days, you gave life to the events with real people. I doubt that the transitions will be as peaceful as you projected through your paragraphs, but your story worked well in that it will cause many readers to rethink their perceptions of "things to come".
