I was born and raised in Northcentral Kansas. I'm a farmer's daughter, but I now make my home in the city of Wichita. I'm an RN. Neonatal nursing has been the main focus of my career. What can I say? I love babies. I was invited to the highschool graduation of a baby I took care of. Talk about making me feel old!

In June of 2011 I became a widow after my husband of 36 years and 11 months died from multiple brain tumors. It was a very sad time, but thanks to the three f's, my faith, my family and my friends, life is moving forward. I have four brothers, one daughter and two grandchildren who all work at making me feel loved.

I'm the author of more than 30 books and I'm currently writing a series called The Brides of Amish Country for Love Inspired.

I read AN AMISH CHRISTMAS (BRIDES OF AMISH COUNTRY) Book 3. Karen Imhoff sees a man along the road almost beaten to death while driving her sister and brother to school. She gets help and while waiting, she is holding his hand, praying and trying to get him to talk to find out what happen. While she is holding his hand, something in her was moved - her heart. Mr. John Doe, as he is named since his memory is gone, gets help but needs a place to stay. He cannot stay with Karen and her family. He is not Amish, he is a Englisher.

He does receive some help from the community and eventually stays in one of the houses on Karen's land. Her father not too happy about it, but gives in. As Christmas draws near, Karen and Mr. John Doe bond. You know they do. He gets a job and becomes part of the Amish community. He is also having flashbacks. He does finally get his memory back while falling in love with Karen. Will he stay or return back to his home. Read it. You know how it ends - Happy.

I enjoyed this story about an amish family that finds a young man beaten and unconscious on their land. In the story he has amnesia and struggles to find his identity as he falls in love with the amish and one in particular.
On Dec. 12, I finished reading The Christmas Quilt. Thoroughly enjoying the story about a man coming back to his faith and a blind amish woman who has a past relationship with him.

Light reading ... three books all centered around the Amish community in Hope Springs, Ohio. Love stories that will touch your heart. More insight into Amish ways of life. I believe I could truly enjoy the simpler way of life!!!
