During a chance encounter Cassidy finds out that her former childhood friend Lucas is recently single and looking for a place to stay, so she quickly offers up her house, while secretly hoping he will realize that he had the right girl to begin with.
After just getting out of painful break-up Lucas takes refuge at Cassidy's place to lick his wounds. He has no intention of getting involved with anyone any time soon, but holding himself back becomes harder than he anticipated.
I've read Terry's books before and her genre's totally erotica. I liked reading erotica, especially quick and steamy one. But personally this book could be so much better. It's too.. less intimate than I thought it would be.
Definitely not the last Terry Towers book I'm going to read.
From the title, I assumed this would be a straight to business quickie involving sleep stuff. TBH, that's what I was looking for.
But there was more plot than expected, the story was closer to an abbreviated second chance romance/hea than a quick steamy read. Also, the kink you'd expect from the title is technically present, but we really don't see it addressed in a hot way?
Lastly, the writing seemed to be rather poor and there was awkward/distracting diction throughout. (I did the audiobook version, so it's possible the narrator was the one messing up some of the words, but the general syntax and limited vocabulary would have to come from the author's side.)
I thought this was going to be taboo, but actually it's not. It's a cute contemporary and I really enjoyed it! There are a few silly editing errors - the wrong word here and there (her breasts can not be amble, but I'm sure they are ample) and spelling mistakes.
I kind of wish this was a longer story so that we could have seen them develop and change more gradually, rather than Cassidy turning from a dull duckling into a sexy swan overnight.
