Tinkering with Perl: A Child's Guide

Rate this book
ABOUT THE Hayward, some years back, began to write a book intended solely to let children like his younger brothers to know enough Perl to start playing around. It is not intended to be a standard introduction; it doesn't even cover nuts and bolts like files and regular expressions; in that regard it is not even a basic introduction to the language. However, it is intended to allow enough to start playing around, and on that regard it caught the eye of an editor from Addison-Wesley, leading to some very interesting possibilities. ABOUT THE Christos Jonathan Seth Hayward wears many hats as a author, philosopher, theologian, artist, poet, wayfarer, philologist, inventor, web guru, teacher. Some have asked, "If a much lesser C.S. Lewis were Orthodox, what would he be like?" And the answer may well be, "C.J.S. Hayward." Hayward has lived in the U.S., Malaysia, England, and France, and holds master's degrees bridging math and computers (UIUC), and philosophy and theology (Cambridge).
