Nevada is the nation's fastest growing state. And one of the most haunted. From the bright lights of Las Vegas to the small town of Virginia City, some of the Silver State's former residents still linger long after death has claimed them. Nevada's ghosts are a colorful bunch. Gangster Bugsy Siegel's lonely ghost has been seen several times in and around the rose garden and wedding chapel of the Flamingo Hilton in Las Vegas. Hank Parish was a despicable hombre who thought nothing of killing innocent people. Now old Hank is thought to haunt the building near the site where he was hanged over a century ago. Little Jennie Clemens was the joy in her parents' lives. When she died she broke their hearts and that of her uncle Mark Twain. She may be forgotten, but she's not gone. These are but a few of the ghosts that you will discover in Haunted Nevada.
A very good short read about the various haunted locations in Las Vegas Nevada. I liked that the author detailed a lot about the past of these city's and specific locations, it really made the reader understand why theses towns and places could be haunted. I do wish that the author went into more detail about the events (light orbs, voices, shadows, etc.) themselves, too often they were regulated to a short paragraph after the history of the location. Overall, a very good short read about the haunted history of Las Vegas, I would recommend this book to anyone!
Reasons for rounding up/what I liked: -This book had a little bit of everything from every county -Just enough info to give you an idea of the story without dragging it out/over dramatizing it (most of the tales are only a couple paragraphs long; longer ones are 1-2 pages) -There were some stories I was unaware of, so I learned something new
Things I didn't like so much: -Only thing that comes to mind is I would have liked some of the more bone-chilling stories to have been covered (this collection primarily covered friendly/mildly upset/celebrity ghosts), but I guess the creepier ones wouldn't have done well in abbreviated format...
