This is a very short serial. It is an intense relationship that starts between a woman who just moves from Chicago to California. She is living with her aunt and she is trying to break away of her failures that occurred in Chicago (the back story is not explained). The characters are Lacy and Dain. Lacy meets Dain when her car breaks down - why a billionnaire stops on the of the road to hand out his card - I don't quite understand. But maybe there will be more explained in the future serials.

A short and in no way plot driven read. The dinner scene seemed pointless and out of place but there is no denying the heat between Lacy and Dain.

The ending is an abrupt because there is a second novella in the series.
