The Nadira plot ended… a bit anticlimactically.
All pure hate and anger then she just walks away. I said it before but I doubt that’s the last we’ve seen of her.
I liked that a demon from Giles’ (and the show's) past came back with a vengeance (literally).
Plus those flashbacks with his Gran.
I also liked the conversations between Spike and Faith & Spike and Angel, respectively.
Though, that straight up pass at Faith didn’t feel like Spike at all.
It was nice to see that Angel and Spike are able to bond over something other than their mutual disdain.
All the pieces have been put back together.
Even after losing his mind once (again), Angel still won’t tell anyone the grand final step in his plan.

The Good: This volume was amazing. Definitely the best so far. A look back at Giles dark past is always a good thing. I love how these graphic novels revisit smaller aspects of the TV series, like in this volume with Eyghon. It makes perfect sense that he would tie into Giles' soul, but his place in the story is rather unexpected. Spike and Angel together is a pleasure, as always. I am really enjoying where this volume has the story heading and can't wait to see how they wrap the season up.

Where do I even begin with how amazing the Angel & Faith comic continue to be?!? In Death and Consequences, Angel and Faith are back on their misson with unlikely friends and foes coming back for some surpises. I am always completely blown away by this spin-off series in the Buffyverse. Angel and Faith have such a great team work ethic and part of me is always hoping maybe, at some point, they could get together. Don't get me wrong, I love Bangel and they will always be my OTP but I just don't see that happening for Buffy and Angel anytime soon in the comics, after what happened last time.
What I love about Angel & Faith, the comics, is that the story is constantly changing. There's always new plots coming up and moving the main plot along. Now I know, sadly, that Angel & Faith probably has a limited run given the content and the story it's following but part of me wants it to go on forever it's that good! In a couple of months Angel & Faith volume 5 comes out and I will jumping up and down from excitement waiting for it to be released. The story only continues to get better and it's safe to say I have fallen in love with this Buffyverse spin-off!

Yay!!! They are almost ready to resurrect Giles. And Spike did a rebound with Harmony. Ugh. I don't like Harmony.

Another great volume in the Angel and Faith season! I love how they tie into previous episodes, and in this case it's one from Buffy's season 2, THE DARK AGE. Yep! Eyghon the Sleepwalker is back and still just as creepy and terrifying. All in all a well-done volume and definitely improved by bringing Spike back into this one! I really love Angel and Faith dynamics and Faith continues to shine bright here.

This was a really fun and eventful return to form for Angel & Faith. I feel like I have a newfound understanding of what this series is trying to do and I'm beyond excited to see how it all pans out.
On the emotional side of things, I appreciated the connections drawn between the journeys of Giles, Faith, and Angel. While Angel and Faith's roads to redemption have been long-standing arcs in the Buffyverse, reminding us of the Ripper days and Giles' similar path was the thematic equivalent to a warm mug of Earl Grey.
I have to admit that I'm underwhelmed by Buffy Season 9 right now, so I'm especially pleased that this series is continuing to entertain in a vein similar to the golden years of Angel. Bring on #5!

Another solid installment of the Angel & Faith story arc. I will be finishing this series for sure, especially with the reemergence of Spike.
Since I don't have much to say that I haven't already said in the last two volumes of this great series, I'm going to skip a full review on this one.
I really enjoyed it and I just received the next installment in the mail today so I will be reading that soon! Can't wait to see what happens next in this thrilling graphic novel series.

Me ha encantado. Esta colección captura de forma espectacular a los personajes que conocimos en la serie. Y en esta ocasión, pasan cosas muy chulas que no os puedo contar para no spoilear, pero os diré que vemos el pasado de alguien del Buffyverse, y mola demasiado :)

really enjoyed this volume. loved the fun callbacks to buffy s2 and also more discussion of Giles past. it was fun to see ripper flashbacks and particularly see how he started on his journey back from ripper to the watcher academy. this whole arc to get Giles back has been a fun look into his character.
really loved the angst in this between faith and angel and faith and the slayers, and just trying to put those things aside for their battles was interesting. And SPIKE, my beloved, returning to the fold. he’s got a fun dynamic with angel and also faith, so I did particularly enjoy the last two issues in this. angel and spike fighting side by side but arguing? The best parts of season 5 ats tbh. spike grappling with the possibility of losing his soul when going to the Enders was a nice point because he’s right, he wasn’t like angelus but he also is better with the soul. appreciated the fight being secondary to the discussion him and faith had, really enjoyed faith telling spike how much he was becoming like angel because she’s not wrong - while at their core they are quite different, they are also so very much alike and it burns them up and me to know that. also that bitch thinks he will get over buffy? As if… also ANYWAYS I do kind of hate the idea that angel still loves buffy like THAT because he literally said in ats that he was finally at a point where he had let her go like that. but whatever i get to keep Cordelia as the love of his life in MY canon.
only thing that felt super ooc was spike propositioning Faith considering he hates hurting buffy and i can’t imagine even trying to get over her, he would do anything with faith, knowing how buffy feels about faith coming into her man and I bet that’s also why faith turned him down, so would’ve liked her to say so. harmony coming back into his life is a choice, that poor girl is always his rebound, but you know what? Good for her, bet that slaps.

Angel and Faith: Death and Consequences continues the plot line of Angel and Faith seeking to resurrect Giles. Unfortunately, in order to claim his soul, they have to fight and kill the demon who has current ownership. Also, he owns his body, too.
The other slayers, especially the forceful Nadira, become entwined in the fight against the demon and also to serve a full-plate of guilt to Faith.
While the relationship between Angel and Faith is at times antagonistic, Faith decides that she needs Giles back in her life and doubles down on her commitment to resurrecting him. With the slayers calling her a traitor, she feels even more alone.
Giles’ aunts, who are meant to provide a kind of comic relief are just not that funny. Spike makes a broken-hearted appearance, but I was never that enamored of him after that hole attempted rape of Buffy thing. Kind of a deal breaker, in my mind.
This volume does not rank as low as some of Angel and Faith stories, but it’s far from the best.

So far, Volume 3 Family Reunion has been my favorite of this series, but I enjoyed Volume 4 as well. It was interesting to get a taste of Giles's past life as "The Ripper" and only wish I could have learned more about his early years. I definitely appreciated the chemistry between Spike and Faith as shown in this Volume. I've always been Team Angel, but Spike has grown on me during the course of reading the Buffyverse comics. Angel and Faith both have narratives of redemption, so I think they make a great duo. I can't wait to see where the series takes me next.

I really enjoyed this one. It brought it back to the basics, to what it was I liked about Buffy and what Joss hinted at the end of Season 8. I loved the backstory too. There is so much we don't know about Giles' growing up and it was such fun exploring that. Plus the combo of these characters makes for great dialogue. Looking forward to the next one.

Sort of took a really long break from this series, but it was pretty easy to pick it back up again. Plus, you know anything Angel-related where Spike shows up is going to be kind of great. The Archie cover at the back of the book? Priceless!

Rebekha Isaacs and Christos Gage are absolutely the dream team for Angel & Faith, and the callback to season 2 of Buffy is great. This is a must read for any Giles fan in particular because punk/chaos magick 70s era Giles is a babe.

That was alright! Ties up a bunch of loose ends, including Eygon, so that we just have to concern ourselves with Whistler and the annoying twins. Spike was fun, and I guess it keeps with tradition that he's less mature as soon as he's in angel's show/book.

While an Angel/Giles hybrid would be pretty cool, I'm glad things are reaching this story arc's conclusion.

4.5, still absolutely love this series. Ripper flashbacks and Spike in one volume? Pure excellence only marred by Nadira's boring tantrums.
