It was OK. Really ironic how Marissa is a lawyer and yet assumed her mother is guilty of a horrible betrayal without doing any investigating to discover if it were true or not. These characters did a lot of talking AT each other rather than TO each other. Griffin and Marissa need to work on their communication skills.

I love this book. It is about Marissa Hamilton. She is the youngest of five children. She works in her family's law firm. She is very goal oriented and in love with fellow attorney Griffin Jackson. They both have strong feelings for one another but it takes a life changing moment for them to confess their feelings for one another. This book is filled with many secrets. It kept me turning pages to figure out how they would unravel. This is my new favourite book.

Excellent ✍🏾

A wonderful and intriguing storyline, both stories were pragmatically addressed. The characters were engaging and predictable however, the themes of truth and forgiveness was emphasized perfectly!

I am being generous with my rating. Written like a script maybe? Just rushed lines with not emotion transmitted to the reader. Not to mention I truly hate the type of heroine we see sketched here: weak, avoiding her problems, lacks communication skills, prone to drama etc etc

Was an enjoyable, but predictable read. Love scenes could have been a little more inviting and spicier.

I really liked this book. I was kind of hoping that Marissa would just be honest about everything instead of running around with secrets. But other than that, I enjoyed it a lot.

By far the weakest of the series and kind of rushed at the end.
