**Book One -Mia's story**
That. Was. Freakin Awesome! What am amazing debut by this fab new author, I'm floored.
I admit I am a self-proclaimed romance/erotic book junkie. I've come to expect certain things when it comes to erotic Novellas, they are usually just quick hott romps without a lot of meat to the story or character depth. Well, this book blew that mold to hell. Don't get me wrong, it was definitely a hott romp right from the beginning (this woman sure knows how to start off with a BANG) but it was sooo much more than that. Even with it being a Novella, you really get a feel for the characters & connect with them.
You feel Mia's struggles & guilt and wonder what the hell happened to her. I just wanna take Nathan home & hug him, kiss him, bake him a cake or something, he was too freakin adorable with his glasses. Quinn kept me on the edge of wanting to smack the ever lovin hell outta him & just wanting him period.
There was quite the interesting & unique little twist thrown in that I did NOT see coming. Seriously, considering the shorter length that comes from being a Novella, the author still managed to suck me completely into the story. I did not want it to end, I want to know more (how's Nathan?!), and where can I find this cabin?!?! I am very much looking forward to more from this hott new author ;)
**Book Two -Chloe' story**
Seriously, where the hell is this cabin?!
Again, WOW. I am totally in lust with this series.
Yes it is a series, but the only thing they really have in common is the cabin. Each book follows a different couple, their experiences at the cabin & how it changes them (for better or worse). I don't think it really matters if you read them in order at this point, but you should definitely read them. There's an actual story to go with the steamy (oh hell yeah there is steam) & you really can't help but connect with the characters. No matter the length, the author completely pulls you into the story.
Chloe's story is the second book in the cabin series. As much as I enjoyed Mia's story, I liked this one even more. The POV jumps between Chloe & her husband Ben, which was AWESOME. Yes Ben has become very neglectful of his wife lately but being in his head helps you understand him, I actually felt bad for the both of them. Oh but the dialogue with these two in the beginning was friggin hilarious. It definitely has it's funny moments, some angst & plenty of Smokin hott lovin'. I have quickly become addicted to this author & cannot wait to see what happens next at the cabin ;)
**Book Three -Anna's story**
I really do love this series. Fun, hott quickies, with interesting believable characters in a mysterious setting. I NEED to find this cabin ;)
It felt good to be cheap for once and not the dull, respectful wife of a police officer. The stay-at-home type, speak-only-when-you're-spoken-to, and don't-embarrass-me-in-front-of-my-work-buddies kind of wife.
After Anna's husband once again skips out on her for "work" while they're on vacation leaving her alone, she finds comfort in the arms of her ski instructor Dario. Upon her return home, she decides she's had enough of her callous, controlling, cheating husband. She helps herself to a decent amount of money from their savings account and skips town, determined to start over. But first, she plans a little getaway with her ski instructor at The Cabin. Dario is supposed to meet her there, but what she find upon arrival is far from what she was expecting. As The Cabin is known to do, she discovers a side of her she never knew existed, putting her life on a path she never saw coming.
This series just gets better and better as it progresses, each new one becoming my favorite. Just, friggin hott. And the little twist at the very end...yeah, was not expecting THAT. I'm seriously developing a total girlcrush on this author & I'm not afraid to admit it Lol ;)

Natalie Stark has done it again! I swear the woman just gets better book by book and this one was no exception.
"So what you're saying is, unless I produce a lot of rude... a lot of dirty stuff... Then you're going to stop being my agent."
"Unless you write a book that I have to hold wearing oven gloves, then yes, Megan, I will no longer be able to represent you. That's what sells."
Megan is an aspiring writer, only problem is she can't write any steam having nothing to draw inspiration from, and that's what her agent wants. So, her agent orders her to get away for the weekend and get 'in-touch' with her feminine side. If she can't write him a hott book & soon, he will drop her as a client. Off she goes to spent a weekend at the cabin, where anything is possible and she may find more inspiration then she ever bargained for. I love that we got to know the cabin's landlord a bit better and the twist at the end was just brilliant, I LOVED IT!!
Natalie has delivered another hott quickie (and my new favorite). I love that, even though these are only Novellas, she doesn't let the shorter length stop character development and the books are as hott as they are mysterious. I'm looking forward to much much more from The Cabin series, and some directions there would be helpful **hint-wink** I KNOW you know how to get there Lol ;)

Mia's Story, Chloe's Story, Anna's Story, Megan's Story: The stories read like morality plays. The more the person cheated on their spouse/significant other the worse the outcome. The "magic" of The Cabin seems to work similarly to the magic of "The Monkey's Paw". None of the stories had an HEA. An 18 year old Catholic girl isn't going to act/think like the girl in Mia's Story did. I also don't think the author knows anything about Catholicism. The part where the nuns beat the crap out of the girl might have rang true in the mid 20th century and earlier but not in this day and age in first world countries. I'm not a prude by any sense of the word but jeez, lying, cheating and stealing just go against my grain. The stories are short, the sex explicit, a bit of plot, but no real substance. Megan's story was the best of the four. She didn't cheat on anyone so the outcome was favorable. I'm not going to bother reading Hannah's story. I did a Google search on the location where this cabin would be and there is a B&B that is quite well known and is 4 or 5 stars. It's not a tiny little cabin as described in the book but a rather huge place with multiple rooms. Each suite is similar in the description to the cabin's rooms though. It's a popular place for honeymoons and when converting dollars to pounds, quite expensive.

Why I liked about the book?
These are realistic, actual life problems that women face and sometimes are afraid to say. The stories are a little dark, but erotic. Each tale is different, intriguing and very sexy. The stories are short yet they are well detailed the setting and the characterizations are ones you can understand even if you can't relate to them.
Why four stars and not five?
One of the stories I felt did not actually have an ending. It was more of assumption of how things ended. All the mystery was leading up to this and it was not actually delivered.
In overall, these are sexy stories. This is a good read if you like stories with a twist.

What a fun and wickedly naughty little place the Cabin is!! I heard the audiobook for the Cabin and enjoyed it immensely! This is a compilation of the first 4 stories centering around the Cabin- Mia, Chloe, Anna, and Megan! All stories are different from each other but encompass the magical place the Cabin is! It's set in the mountains, an escape from everyday life, each girl is there for different reasons-some with people, some meet people, but all find what they need from the Cabin and so much more! Talk about hot! hot! hot!! The narrator, Johanna Fairview, did a wonderful job of reading Natalie Stark's book and inflecting the characters nuances with her voice. I highly recommend getting the Audible upgrade and experience the Cabin for yourself! I look forward to future stories that the Cabin holds!!

What did I think about this, hmmmmm...it was interesting! 4 different stories of each woman and her experience at the cabin...If I were to break it down
Book 1: I did NOT like that one at all!!!
Book 2: I really liked!!
Book 3: It was okay!
Book 4: It was okay! Certain parts in that story was just too unbelievable.
So overall, 3 1.2 stars for this one...

I didn't like the story lines of these books. No matter your fantasies or status of your marriage, cheating isn't an option in my book. I just didn't pay attention to the stories and just read about the HOT sex scenes.

The Cabin
The author is a really good writer. The stories flow very well and is very vivid in the descriptions of the stories. Unfortunately, the only novella that did not fall flat for me was Book 4, Megan's Story. It was really great. Books 1-3 were just so so for me.
Book 1:
I loved the twist and mystery of her encounter with Quinn and then the scars that followed. I would actually love to read a whole book of a priest falling in love etc. but as a short story it did not totally work for me. SPOILER...What I did not love (AT ALL) was that the little ninny, Mia, cheated on her sweet husband. Like flat out, did not even think twice about cheating on him the day after their wedding. I liked her husband way too much to be okay with her sleeping with Quinn. This story left me feeling very sad and unfulfilled.
Book 2:
Now this book is more down my ally. The story is a little disjointed and flat in some places, but I liked the twists and turns this story took. I really liked where the story took us. SPOILER...Even though both people technically cheated, I really liked that they were able to both have a little kink and get recharged so that hopefully Ben could get out of his funk and they could both be more satisfied in their relationship.
Book 3:
I liked pieces of this story. But first, ladies, NEVER wire a man money when he says he doesn't have enough to come visit you. Geez! Just find someone equally as hot who can actually afford to travel. And what in the world is up with the "cheating" theme of this book? Granted, this husband was a total douche', but that doesn't change the fact that Anna was still married!! And then out of the clear blue she gets it on with a stranger and then finds out he robbed a bank, but no big deal...she'll just go off with him and live the life of a criminal. There were so many different things going on that it kinda made my head spin. This story had a lot of potential, and I loved the "sex with a stranger" scenario, but STILL! *deep sigh* By the end, it just left me annoyed and grumpy.
Book 4:
AKA the saving grace for this series and the only reason this series is getting 3 and not 2 stars. This was very clever and makes you wonder if there really is a "cabin" somewhere. And FINALLY someone got it on with the landlord! With every story, I hoped that he would become the love interest. I pictured Theodore as a burly, gentle, and very sexual man throughout the series, so I'm glad that he was not only in this book, but he was also the most clever of all the characters in this series. I just wish all of the novellas could have been as good as book 4.

While erotica isn't a mainstay of my regular reading, I do admit it is a guilty pleasure of mine. Not having read widely in the genre, I don't have a huge basis for comparison either. Still, I found this first collection of Cabin stories to fit my tastes. The tales gathered here don't wander too far from the realm of plausibility for the base plotline. But only the first. tale had anything unexpected in it. The latter, I found to be satisfying reads, just not as surprising in overall plot.
I"ll probably never find myself in any similar situations, but then most erotica seems to arise from fantasy more than from reality.

I really did like Stark's stories...up till the endings. Bad ending, good ending, even an 'eh' ending would be good, but I hate wondering what happened to the author's characters.
For this reason, I gave it only ****.
Stark puts quite a bit of prologue in each story to put the reader in the understanding her character. I think it would have been great to add in a short epilogue too.

Hmm. Just couldn't catch my attention in this book. I finished the first volume, but couldn't bring myself to keep going with 2-4. The description sounded like something I would like, but the lack of development in the first one put me off from continuing reading.

This is basically porn. Not bad, not good, just porn. I usually like a little more plot to my erotica, but there was enough curiosity in me that kept me turning the pages. Some word usage was weird and they talked a lot during sex. If you like porn, this book is your book.

Good but not great.
I did like the books but they are lacking something. a little more story perhaps. they all end really abruptly.

A reasonable read but each story could've done with more actual story & maybe a little less emphasis on the sex.

Found it hard to continuously read it all the way through, not sure why. Took some time before I picked it up again and found the last two stories the best.
