Her big brother’s best friend…

Amanda Jones is less than impressed when Scott Gregory arrives at the airport to collect her on his Harley Davison. Her big brother’s former best friend, Scott used to drive her mad when they were kids, and she’s never forgotten about the kiss they shared when she was sixteen.

Scott isn’t shy with women, but he knows that Amanda is firmly out of bounds. She is the little sister of his childhood best friend, and he knows her brother wouldn’t be impressed if he went there with the one girl he’s been warned away from since they were teenagers. But Amanda isn’t anything like the girl she used to be, and Scott has never run away from a challenge…

Losing a parent is never easy, so when Amanda returns home for her father's funeral the last thing she needs is to fall head over heals for the town's bad-boy.

Yet this is exactly what she does, but with a twist. She wants to be the bad, wild reckless woman for just once and who better to have as her once in a lifetime good girl gone wild 'object' than the town's bad-boy Scott.

Only Scott is no longer the bad-boy he use to be, gone are the long hot passionate nights of meaningless sex with strange woman and in it's place is a kind , caring once in a lifetime kind of guy.

He has always wanted Amanda but instead heeded the warning from his best friend, who just happens to be Amanda's brother.

But which man in his right mind is going to be able to resist the woman of his dreams when she is all over you asking you to take her to bed for a few nights? But when the hot, sexy nights are done will Scott be able to convince Amanda he is no longer one night stand material but the stay with me forever kind?

I loved this story to bits! Yes the "Don't go near my sister!" has been done before but what I liked is that the author looked at it from a different angle by incorporating the heroine's feelings of pain and loss. We all know that when we are in pain over the loss of a loved one we are more likely to do something out of character and this is exactly what Amanda does, this link back to real life was really great and I loved reading it play out.

Both main characters were well written and the author did a fantastic job at giving me an in depth look into their lives and how they become linked as one.

Backdrop settings and dialogue was well incorporated and had a great home-made touch to it. I am taking away the message of, it hurt's like crazy when we lose someone close to us, and no one will blame you for acting out of sorts, you are after all only human.

But when you are all done acting out of character you need to take a moment to take a look at what it is you have done to those around you whilst you were living out the new you. If you don't then you might miss the most valuable life lesson of your life.

And most importantly never judge someone based on their past, everyone deserves a second chance and anyone can change.

I recommend this read for all readers who love Soraya 's books. She always manages to deliver sweet, sensual and heart-stopping romance, and this read was no exception.

Scott is so drool worthy, "she stared into his eyes, trapped in the web of his gaze, still fighting the tears that were blurring her vision until she could hardly see him. "Come here," his voice was rough." That boy sure has ways to surprise the crap out of Amanda, "Scott!" She managed, rearranging her bikini top to make sure she wasn't showing anything. "That wasn't..." He's just so cute when he teases her, "Scott raised his eyebrows. "Are you just fishing for another compliment about your bangin' body, because if you really want me to admire it..." he ran a finger down her thigh to her knee, "Well, then I might just have to see this skin of yours bare." He's willing to accommodate for his girl, "Scott laughed. "Sweetheart, I'll put the bed outside, but there's no way in hell I'm letting you get to sleep, not in any time soon." I love stories where it's the sister, and the brother's best friend I think they're cute and they're fun to read.

II liked the Harley and Montana, but not the explicit sex scenes and terrible language. The story was pretty good, but had to skip lots of pages because of the sex scenes. Can only give it a 2 star rating because of that.

Having to bury a loved one has a way of making you look at what you really want to do in your own life. Do you want to change the way things are? Are you happy to keep everything the same? For Amanda, the question she most wanted to answer was did she want to be a bad girl for once, instead of the good girl she had always been. And she definitely knew the one she wanted to be bad with...the hot, sexy, bad guy on the motorcycle picking her up from the airport. In her teens, she had a massive crush on Mr. “Bad Guy”Scott and now that she is a fully grown woman, she was finally going to act on it, regardless of what anybody said. Maybe a hot little affair before she went back to New York would give her back her creativity for the upcoming exhibition. She only had two questions to ask herself. Having wanted him for so long, would she be able to survive a casual no-strings fling? And could she leave at the end of her stay with her heart intact or would she leave a giant part behind?

Years ago, Scott had been warned off his best friend's sister and other than a stolen kiss, he had listened. Leaving the ranch after an ultimatum from his father, he had settled half the world away. While making his fortune, he had known various women and keep his same philosophy until the last few years. More mature now, he was no longer the bad boy who “loved them and left them”. These days he was looking for a relationship, but only the one woman he had never been able to forget would do. The one he had always wanted...Amanda. Could he change her mind to see him as the staying kind or was a “no strings”affair all she would take? If he did put his heart on the line, would she love him back? Or when she left would she tear a big chunk out of it and take it with her?

Soraya Lane has written a wonderful story in Montana Homecoming, the second book in her Montana series, about love surviving years apart. Excellent characters developed a well thought out plot. All the members from both families who appeared in the first book were revisited. It was fun to catch up with all the changes that have gone on. I really enjoy books that follow a family as their family dynamics change.

I would recommend this book to all romance readers.

MONTANA HOMECOMING by author Soraya Lane is a November 2013 release.

I loved this romance. Scott is a gorgeous hero with a bad boy stigma. And Amanda Jones is the sweet girl who wants the bad boy for once!

Author Soraya Lane fulfilled all expectation and gave us readers a great, emotion packed story! Full of sensual sizzle as well.

Not sure why they were so upset with her brother. He wasn’t wrong. The MMC was a manwhore. All he wanted from FMC until chapter 12 was no strings attached sex. He was willing to let her compromise her relationship only feelings so he could get her into bed. One night of sex with and he was a changed man.

Of the second of the trilogy, i love..well i have a love hate for this. gawd damn I hate her brother from the very beginning. Just way to over the top. For effs sakes, she's well beyond adult age. And sisters weren't much better. Sadly, it's bad timing with emotions flying, but still. The ending made it worth it.

No spoilers

This is your typical bad boy/good girl / first crush romance novel. It seemed predictable early on. But I manages to finish anyway. I am glad it was free or I would have been VERY disappointed.
It was not a total waste of time, it was cute and it had characters that we can all relate to. It did however lack detail. No good mental picture of the ranches or land. And everything seemed to be too short lived. With some detail and more length to the plot there is potential, but it fell short for me. Even the "romantic" scenes were lacking.
My other problem was the way the book jolted around. One moment they are at the dinner table and the next moment Scott and or Amanda are somewhere else and it takes a moment for the reader to catch on. (In the process leaving the scene and events you were reading about cut off abruptly with no further mention of them.) It seems even the author got confused because in at least 3 places I could could count she made an oops on the timeline. Example chapter say x amount mo later then Amanda's thinking how it'd been two months and about five pages later (all in the same setting/thought process) saying it had been one long month sense...
It made things messy. It was a cute read but I would say there are many other romance novels worth your time and money. And from me that says a lot because I'm not much for romance novels. This one just seems like an oh hum been there done that novel that seriously lacked the passion and beauty that could have made this a beautiful novel.

Montana Homecoming is book two in the series, picking up about 8 months after Montana Reunion. This book is about Maddison's sister Amanda and her return to the ranch after their father's death.

Amanda is devastated by the death of her father and turns to Scott, Jack's younger brother for comfort. She's always had a crush on Scott, but he wouldn't give her the time of day. Little did she know that the main reason Scott wouldn't touch her is because her brother Blake warned him off. Amanda and Scott aren't kids anymore and Scott has grown from a womanizing teen to a very worthy man. Will the fling Amanda and Scott begin turn into more once she heads back to New York or is their relationship doomed before it even begins?

Sweet and emotional but very predictable. Romance without the hardcore sex.

Scott and Amanda have had a thing for each other for a lot of years. But Scott was a ladies man and Amanda's brother warned him to stay away from Amanda. Now Scott has returned from living in Australia now that his dad is gone. His brother Jack has given him half the ranch and he's found his own way to make a living off it without ranching.

Amanda has returned home for her fathers funeral and Scott is there to help her through the rough times and they are able to reconnect. Only her brother is still warning him to stay away from his sister.

More language than I like to see in books, and there were sexual situations. The editing on this one wasn't that great either. A lot of missing words in sentences, pronoun gender mess ups and the like.

"Montana Homecoming" is a cute, quickie, romantic read. I will admit I am a sucker for family based romances where there are multiple siblings needing a solid relationship. This is one of those where the reader will have multiple opportunities to read first time romantic connections while hearing updates on characters from previous books.

Is this some great literary drama? No! but is is a lot of fun. My only criticism is that the love scenes could have been hotter but that is just my taste. I will probably go on to read other books in the series.

Montana Homecoming

Another hit in this series. Amanda came home for her dad's funeral, expecting her sister to pick her up at the airport instead her high school crush was there on his Harley. Scott had wanted Amanda even back when they were teenagers but her brother warned him off, with good reason because he had been the bad boy back then. He was different now but her brother didn't believe it and still wanted him to stay away from her. Problem is they neither wanted to stay away from each other.

This was the perfect Sunday read for me.

Scott and Amanda shared a moment when they were teenagers but school, college and careers mean that they haven't seen each other for 10 years or so.

Amanda has returned home to her family as her father has died.

Those old familiar feelings return when she sees Scott and she is surprised to see that he has moved back to Montana and is building a home and new life for himself.

These two begin to realise that maybe the things they wanted when they were young have changed and that feeling of being home may be just what both of them were looking for.

I am really enjoing this series love the setting and the love of the two families that have grown up together. When Amanda comes home for her father's funeral Scott the boy from next door and the the one she has had a crush on forever is there as well but both Scott and Amanda have issues from their past and the journey to get over these is sensual and emotional but they get their HEA and it is wonderful

4-1/2 stars.

I liked the characters and enjoyed the story. Her older brother Blake was a bit over-the-top with his reaction since he did not bother to really see if his friend had changed since being a 17-year-old jerk. I wish the epilogue had been a bit further out. Timeline seemed off at the end - one blurb said 1 month later and another 2 months later.... if it were 2 months then Maddison's baby was from a freaky long pregnancy. I wanted to know the new nephew's name.

The second book in this Montana series is equal to the first. Amanda Jones has come home for her father's funeral. She is not too happy when Scott Gregory who grew up next door to her family ranch shows up to pick her up at the airport on his Harley. Scott is a bad boy who has been misunderstood, or just grown up rough with a tough father. This story is steamy and sweet I loved it.

KINDA PREDICTABLE BUT A SWEET OLD FASHION LOVE STORY, WITH SOME VERY HOT SEXY BITS. SCOTT & MANDY AS ADULTS WERE BOTH IN THE PURSUIT OF THEIR HEA. SOMETIMES WE LOOK SO HARD WE MISS WHATS RIGHT IN FRONT OF US. THE OLD SAYING YOU CAN'T GO HOME AGAIN, MIGHT BE TRUE FOR SOME OF US BUT FOR OTHERS THAT'S THE VERY PLACE WE SHOULD BE. ;>

I read the first book I this series & it was good enough to check out the rest of the series. I read the reviews, but decided to read it anyway. Although, it did have some grammatical errors, not worth all the fuss. I enjoyed this story, not as well as the first one, but it was a nice story. I will be reading the 3rd book in this series.

Somewhat cliche but super sweet (does include sexy scenes) romance involving the reformed "bad boy" next door reconnecting with his best friend's little sister. Scott and Amanda are both well-rounded, although not perfect, characters with an undying flame for each other. Easily read stand-alone but may leave you wondering about the rest of the family!
