A daily kick in the pants from the Pitbull of Personal Development(r) and Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, and New York Times bestseller Larry Winget. In these uncertain times, America needs a straight-talk dose of Larry Winget reality more than ever. No Time for Tact is a boot-camp version of the "thought of the day" calendar, the ultimate wake-up call for anyone who's looking for a lifeline and true empowerment. With an eye-catching design, this book is packed with memorable gems, such "Stress comes from knowing what is right and doing what is wrong." "When people say, 'Let me be honest with you,' it means in the past, they haven't been." "If you are unhappy, unsuccessful, broke, or sick, please just keep it to yourself. The rest of us don't want to hear it, so don't feel compelled to share!" "Training is expensive. Books are expensive. Going to seminars is expensive. Being stupid is even more expensive." Blending longer observations with signature Winget quips, No Time for Tact is the perfect way to jump-start each day.
Want to know how it feels to have words which can slap you on the face, give you a dosage of reality and brutally wake you up in the morning with a splash of ice cold common sense?
This is your book.
It will scream at you with the commonsense of the ages and let you hear what you honestly don’t want to hear.
Agreed, there are a few pages which have the advice repeated (February 23 & July 1 and yeah another 3 pairs that I do not have the patience to find now) but overall, this is a brilliant book.
I consider this the Bible of Commonsense for today’s world and grateful we have some people who have no problems with kicking you where it hurts.
I would end describing the book as stated by The Dallas Morning New “This book is like a Thought for the day calendar on steroids”.
This book is a rough, no-nonsense book on leadership. There are 365 days of advice from this author, who has gone from bankruptcy to being a multi-millionaire. I highly recommend it.
After reading those soft self-improvement books this book puts us on the ground without a pity that the others would always look for, and with its aggressive lines takes us to a well-toned up sound.
