A sweet, charming historical romance. The characters were delightful and the story fun.

I loved that Ellie, the town's matchmaker, had the town playing matchmaker to her! I also loved the message of forgiveness and how both main characters had difficult things they needed to work through.

Overall, a great historical romance that I really connected with and certain moments were so touching that they made me misty-eyed. I definitely recommend A Texas-Made Match!

This is the 3rd book in a series following Unlawfully Wedded Bride (Love Inspired Historical) and The Runaway Bride (Love Inspired Historical). This time the youngest sibling, Ellie, gets her story. She becomes the town matchmaker after people found out about her list of women matched up with men. She doesn't see a man to match herself with until an old family friend, Lawson, comes riding back into town. Their relationship has always been one of friendship but as the town tries to match them together, they begin to see each other in a different light. However, both have wounds from their past. Lawson feels unlovable because his birth parents abandoned him as a child. Ellie feels enormous guilt and responsibility for her parents' death. Throw in a Shakespeare-loving pig farmer, a town bent on their own matchmaking, along with the re-appearance of long-lost family members and you have a solid story. I liked Ellie and Lawson's relationship, their bantering, and the how they finally understood God's love for them. Overall, a sweet, feel-good story that I recommend.

Super cute story about a matchmaker who finally gets her own match. I loved the whole town getting behind the couple and pushing them right along. :)

I've not read the other two books in the O'Brien series so I came into this one with no history on the characters.

We start out with Ellie turning 21 and deciding that she wants to find a beau and get married. To that end, she starts a list of the eligible men in town, some of whom she pairs up with women based on what she knows. In the end, the non-matched ones are not men she would consider for her husband. Later, we realize that Ellie is blaming herself for her parents' deaths even though she doesn't fully realize what caused it until later in the book.

Lawson returns to town after a stint in the Texas Rangers--a job he apparently took to try to prove that he wasn't like his parents, only to find that some of the Rangers agreed he was almost better suited to be an outlaw than a lawman. Lawson struggles with the fact that his parents deserted and abandoned him. It makes him feel as if he is unlovable or that all people who are supposed to love him will eventually desert him.

Both have to confront people from their pasts and forgive themselves in order to move on.

By page 68, both Lawson and Ellie have realized they love each other. It takes over 200 more pages for the two of them to admit it to each other and seal the deal. I did kind of feel like the story dragged on longer than it needed to.

Very good. Really enjoyed Lawson and Ellie's story. He had so many scars from his difficult childhood, but despite the scared little boy inside, he always strived to be a good, Godly man. Ellie had her own unexpected issues. In the end, God fit them perfectly together ❤

I purchased this used book. All opinions are mine alone without expectation or compensation.

I love this story! 😊 I have wanted this match from the beginning of the series! Lawson and Ellie are favorites of mine and I was so happy to see them together again. The teasing and joking between them made me smile and the support they gave each other made me wistful for the same. A absolutely remarkable author.

DNF. Did the author forget the basics of plot and GMC? The goal of the heroine is to get married. Why? Because she's old (21 is ancient, ya know). Conflict, all the eligible men in town think of her as a younger sister. So the best looking man starts to drool after her and she keeps pushing him away because he's not serious. Really? Does he have to put a huge sign on his forehead that says, "I'm hot for you" for her to believe him?
So not only do we have this corny plot of wanting to get married, we have a heroine, who wants to get married, not wanting to believe any of her suitors are serious.
Sorry, but I just can't stomach this story any more. Just not for me.

A lovely finish to the O'Brien family saga!

So glad Ellie & Lawson finally got a happily ever after.

Sad to see the end of this series, but looking forward to reading more about Peppin and the friends who featured in this book...and the outcome of the Bachelor List!

A series I've really enjoyed!

Ellie has the knack for matching up couples, all but for herself. But the townpeople think they know the perfect match for her?? But a Pig Farmer, thinks Ellie is the girl for him. Well who is right?
Will Ellie finally find happiness?

Enjoyable book. Would recommend to others.
