Uh.....what did I just read? I don't understand what is going on at all, and honestly I don't feel like reading any more. This was hardly a first book in s series, it was more like the first few chapters packaged as book 1 as a money making ploy. The only good thing was that the writer used good imagery and prose. If it were not for the overall good writing style, I would give this book 1 star. It was not enough of a story to be even enjoyable as the start of something more.

Tim Burton minus a plot

I reached the end and was still wondering when the story or plot line was going to develop. I'm not feeling compelled to read more.
