The Bellum Sisters #4

The Fallen King

Rate this book
Life couldn't have possibly gotten worse for the demon king Alrik. But it did. He lost the love of his life. Days spent clouded in black and gray were brightened only with the lovely Arianna near. Her light kept the darkness at bay if only for a few moments.

And now she's gone leaving him alone. Now he has nobody. But he has purpose.

A purpose--steely determination—for revenge against the one who cursed him. His mother. She's out there in the rift, gathering forces, for what, he's unsure. A mere human witch by the name Abbigail Krenshaw is the key to saving himself and killing his mother--or so a little old seer tells him under sword point. Small, fragile, and breakable Abbigail almost reminds him of his lost love, yet she's different. Strong, charming, always pushing him in ways that Arianna wouldn’t dare. He can feel her worming her way into his battered, blackened heart and can't decide whether he wants to close her inside forever, or lock her out.

He needs Abbigail. He needs the human witch to sacrifice herself in order to save his tortured soul. He's more than willing to sacrifice her for his purpose, but the more he's around her the more difficult it becomes to uphold the decision. Can he really use her to save himself and let her die? His heart screams no but his mind says yes.

“Let it go, Alrik. Just let go of whatever holds you. Hold me instead.”

A year after he was banished from his kingdom, the Fallen King Alrik is on a quest to get revenge from the one who cursed him and turned him black with hate and anger from the inside out, from his eyes to his heart and soul, the only way he would ever become the man he should have been is to kill the one who cursed him, only as foreseen, it is not by his hands but of the hands of a human witch.
Alrik was no man. He was too powerful, too mysterious, too sensual, too dangerous... too everything to be a man.

Abbigail has turned her back on the power she possess inside, but it hasn’t stopped her curiosity from learning more about the different kinds that share the world with her setting her career as a paranormal medical examiner. Her life is pretty mundane that is until she receives a peculiar letter from a man she has never met and never will, her father. After confirming the truth with her mother, she goes home to come to terms with it all but she is taken from her home and brought to a place she has never dreamed of. If that wasn’t enough, the news of what she must do to gain her freedom is enough to push anyone over the edge.
“I do not lie.” Lie. “You do this with me and I’ll protect you every step of the way.” Truth. He needed her alive. “After the deed is done, I’ll return you to the earthen-realm and you’ll never hear from me again.” Partial-truth.

Full of questions, Abbigail uses her training as a chance to get to know more about her insane captor who insist on her calling him King Alrik. She isn’t stupid and doesn’t trust him, but if she had to choose between the other Demons and the insane King she will stand behind him, at least has a vested interest in her safety, for now. How can one man want to make her run away and kiss him all at the same time?!?
She had everything she wanted right in her arms--a crazy ass demon who wanted her to commit murder. It wasn’t normal, it might not even be right, but she wanted him something fierce.

Conflicted emotions swirled through Alrik, he isn’t supposed to feel anything for this human, but her cunning mind and internal strength has broken down some walls that were so much a part of him. His guilt and his safe-hatred eat at him, making him wallow in guilt, he is no longer sure the purpose behind taking her is worth it, not when her safety and life are on the line. Abby can see right through Alrik, she knows he hates the man he is, but what he doesn’t see is who the man he has become during their short journey, it probably was in him all along, he just needed someone to believe in him to bring it out.
He didn’t deserve her, but if she forgave him after he brought her back , then he’d grovel to her for the rest of his life.

Fallen King was a great addition and ending to the Bellum Sisters series, I almost needed this story after the last book, wanting Alrik to find redemption and for the person who caused him so much harm to suffer like he did. Abby was just what Alrik needed, he is a fierce warrior and she could definitely hold her own right by his side. The letter from her father was so sad and the whole time I read the book I kept wondering when she would meet the rest of the Bellum sisters. This took on a different flow than the other books, there weren’t multiple story lines like the others, it was meant to tie up the loose ends focusing solely on Alrik and Abby's story. I have to say there was a part of me that missed the sisters and was happy when they finally made their cameo appearance in the end. I am kinda sad it’s all over but at least I have other books by the author to look forward too.

What a wonderful sexy, conclusion to this series

description

Alrik, is the Fallen King of the demon relm, and he is also cursed. His evil mother has not only cursed him. She is also the cause of him losing his crown, and the woman he loved. The great Seer has spoken. The curse can only be lifted by Abbigail Krenshaw, a human witch. But she will die in the process.

deeper

Abbigail is a non practicing witch. But she has a lot of raw, natural power. She has just received a letter from her late father, revealing his identity. Her world and everything she has ever known is about to change. Then in walks a sexy dark demon. He abducts Abby, insisting that he needs her help to lift his curse. She only has to kill his evil mother.

But what will Alrik do when hot passionate sex leads to feelings? Will he be able to sacrifice Abby in order to be free of his mother's curse?

description

Nothing had ever felt more right. There were times in life where Abbigail had been in just the right situation to have something good happen to her, and when that something good happened, a euphoric giddiness filled her. She could hardly stop smiling. Right now in Alrik’s arms, she felt that same feeling.

If you are in the mood for a fun hot paranormal series, full of vampires, demons, shape-shifters, and witches, then this the series for you!!

i received an ARC of the book from t.a. for an honest review, and might i add....*squee* because i was absolutely loosing my mind waiting for this book to come out.
ok, so first of all, even if you have not read the first 3 books in the bellum sisters series (if you haven't i really don't know what your waiting for, but i digress...), you can still read this book, you don't HAVE to have read the series, but i would recommend it.
anyhow, by the end of ties that bind, we are sooo not fans of alrik's (or at least i wasn't), and i was like, hmmmm is t.a. really gonna be able to redeem him in my eyes/mind that i should actually care what happens to him?!?!? and my absolutely final answer is YES, SHE CAN!!! by chapter 3, she had me hook, line, and sinker.
such a good book, and such an amazing series.
t.a. i adore you, and i thank you for creating and sharing such amazing worlds and alphas, and then sharing them with us!

That was freakin Awesome!! T.A. Grey has become my Queen of supernatural hottness, I LOVED IT!! The fallen King is a Bellum Sisters novel & while it is not necessary to read the other book first (B1-Chains of Frost, B2-Bonds of Fire, B3-Ties that Bind) I strongly urge you to do so because A) background knowledge of some of the characters & their stories will help you to enjoy this one even more and B) Well, they are just that Awesome!! Seriously, what are you waiting for Lol?!? Kay, back to my review ;)

We first meet our fallen King Alrik in Ties that Bind. Telal Demuzi's Brother (yes, Alrik) has been unknowingly cursed by their Mother & the man it has turned him into is unrecognizable, both physically & emotionally, by all who knew him. He's dark, vicious, cruel & uncaring. The only person who breaks thru to him is his love Arianna. But she dies to save his life, as he's over thrown & banished from his kingdom by his Brother & so the Fallen King begins........

Now that he has lost everything, his sole focus becomes finding his Mother & killing her in order to break his curse. But a meeting with a Seer changes his plans. The Seer informs him that due to his curse, he is unable to kill his Mother. There is only one who can kill her, a Human Witch, who hasn't used her magic in a long time, by the name of Abbigail Krenshaw. BUT, she will die in the process. Alrik tracks down Abby & brings her intro the rift to "persuade" her into helping him & the sparks fly. The tension between these two was off the charts intense, from one extreme to the next. If they didn't want to kill eachother, they were fighting not to kiss eachother.

"The Demon was insane. Straight up fell-way-off-the-tree crazy."

"He wouldn't let her get under his skin. He needed her for one purpose only."

"I'd watch your tone witch."
She snorted. "And what's wrong with my tone?" If she didn't do one thing wrong, she did another in his mind. His eyes opened, pierced her. "Your anger fuels me. It's the nature of the curse."
Oh, well she didn't know what to say to that. Her anger fed his anger? Why? To what purpose? To make him a bigger jackass?

But no matter how attracted they were to eachother, Alrik resisted giving into temptation. Caving to his desires felt like a betrayal to Arianna's love & sacrifice. Besides, she was a means to an end, she needed to die in order to break his curse. I have to be honest here, after getting to know the darker side of Alrik in Ties that Bind, I was unsure if T.A. would be able to make me see him in another light. Let me just say, she pulls it off beautifully. This book was an action packed thrill ride right from the start. Fantastical landscape, Awesome characters, and the ending was just A Maz Ing. Oh & bonus, the sex scenes were Smokin HOTT!! *fans oneself-OFTEN* Whew ;) and *fingers crossed* I am holding onto the hope that I will see Aidan again xxx Yes, I am a proud proud member of the Alpha Squad!!! Thanx for the shout out, AWESOME!! xxxx

Received this book as ARC. T.A. Grey definitely writes books that you can't put down until you're done. This one was no exception. After patiently waiting (not), because I've read the whole series (Bellum Sister), I was not disappointed. Alrik, the fallen king and Abbigail are a pair to remember, finding out about themselves and each other as the story unfolds. This story captures you from the beginning and is a thrilling ride til the end. Full of hunky, sexy Alpha males, detailed sex scenes, action, love and did I say detailed sex scenes, and I could see a future with Aidan the vampire. Once again I was not disappointed and this series just gets better. This is a author you don't want to pass up because she never fails to to bring it in all her erotic romances. Thanks T.a. for another great one.The Fallen King

This book was a mind blower!! I loved all the details especially the intimate ones! T.A. does it again with another awesome book. I have nominated this series on a few blogger websites. I like how the characters from each book intermingle and show up in other books. The flow of this book and the plot are awesome. The best part was the HEA. I'm such a romantic at heart. This book will not disappoint. It went from my to-read shelf to my read shelf. Now it's in the re-read section of my e-reader!! If you do not have the first 3 books in the series, they are a must have for your paranormal/fantasy/romance category!!! I am looking forward to more books by T.A. Grey. I'm sure they will be extraordinary and captivating stories. Thank you T.A. for a job very well done!!!

Sigh...Oh Alrik.

I'd like to start by saying that I HATED Alrik when I read Ties that Bind (The Bellum Sisters #3). I saw not one single redeeming quality in him, so much so that I delayed purchasing this book - I almost didn't buy it at all, if I'm to be honest. I was desperately afraid that it would ruin a series that I had fallen in love with, and I did not want that. Book #4's are often a pinnacle point in an author's series - they can fall either way; They may be utterly mind-blowing, or they may be an utter catastrophe.
That being said, I purchased this book on a whim; Knowing that this book was out there and that I had not read it, plagued me for reasons that I will never know.
So, going into this, I hated one of the main characters. He wasn't even what I would classify as an Anti-Hero. I just flat couldn't stand him.

T.A. Grey has completely won me over. She caused me to go from absolutely hating a character, to falling in love with him, just as Abbigail does. That is a huge feat for an author to accomplish, and I give her MAJOR kudos. Alrik is so well written...so...broken.

I was intrigued that this book took place over a year after #3 - from the preview at the end of #3, I had assumed it was a direct continuation. It was actually more plausible that time had passed - I loved it!

When the book started, I was confused on how this was going to be a #4 in 'The Bellum Sisters'. Certainly Alrik was not related to the Bellums (that would just have gotten messy for Lily and Telal).. and without spoiling this book for readers, I will say: "Well played, T.A., well played."

I adore the cover of The Fallen King. Give me a hot muscled man on a creepy dark background ANYDAY. YUM.

All in all, this book was WAY MORE than I imagined, and better than I hoped for!

Grey is an author I will be stalking for a long time to come.

Snag this book, you will not regret it.
Until then, "Krishnoe!"

*** Spoilers ***

Did the same author who wrote books 1 and 2 write books 3 and 4?
It didn't seem like it.
The first two books were about multiple couples, book 4 was only about Alrik and Abby
I tried to like this book I really did but every time I read about Abby,
I thought about Arianna and how she died unnecessarily.
It also didn't help that Alrik compared the two through out the book.

I read this last book hoping that the author would some how bring back Arianna but it was wishful thinking.
It annoyed me that the two women's names both started with the letter "A"..
Arianna book 3 and Abbigail book 4. See how easy that is to confuse the two names?

Arik helping Abbigail hone her powers for the first half of the story was boring.
I didn't care how powerful she was / is.
The story should have been written with Abbigail and a different male lead.
When they met Aidan and the band of Rogue demons,
I wanted her to get together with Aidan.
But instead, that incident only forced Abbigail and Alrik together, blah blah blah..

I also felt that Abbigail was a slap in the face to Mary Bellum.
Its bad enough she was imprisoned for most her daughters childhood, finds out her mate is dead but now to find out that he had a child with another woman is just horrible.
And if there "had" to be a fourth Bellum sister why couldn't she mate with Rayn or someone else, why did it "have" to be Alrik??

I repeat,

Alrik should have had a Happily Ever After with "Arianna" from book 3.
If he was truly an evil bastard, then I wouldn't have cared but it was all his mother and her curse.
I couldn't believe between Rosa, Telal and Alrik that they couldn't save Arriana..
It was cruel to have Alrik wait for Arriana for all of those years just to lose her in the end of book3.
The worst part is that Alrik had feelings for Arianna
"before" his mother starting using her spells and what not on him and before he went dark.

Disappointed

What an amazing way to end this series. I loved it, this one might even be my favorite. I loved Alrik and Abby together and I think the author did a great job with their relationship which wasn't easy considering how evil Alrik was.

I was a bit disappointed with the ending, I found it too abrupt. I didn't have time to enjoy anything, it was already over. We didn't even really see Abby reuniting with her sisters and Alrik with Telal. I was really excited about the brothers reunion and the fact that we didn't see it was disappointing.

But still, amazing book and I highly recommend this series to PNR fans!

REVIEW:
I received an ARC of this book to provide an honest review. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It was what I expected and more. This book is a part of the Bellum Sister's series; however it can be read as a standalone. We were introduced to Alrik in The Ties That Bind. He was not a well-loved character. However all that changed in this book. I found myself rooting for him and hoping that he would prevail.
Abigail, a witch who has not been practicing her craft, is the key to Alrik’s redemption. The chemistry between them was mind-blowing. Alrik tried to fight his feelings as he felt it was a betrayal to his lost love, Arianna. In addition he was on a quest for revenge and as such could not allow anything to hinder him in his quest. His love for Abigail however was stronger than any memory or any quest.
The story draws the reader in from the very beginning with its nonstop action. It is a fast-paced, sizzling hot and very romantic read. The story flowed beautifully. There were some unanswered questions which I believe could have been built upon. I was not clear as to how Alrik and his brother Telal had reached reconciliation and how Abigail’s disappearance from the human world was treated. There were a few editorial issues this however did not detract from the story. The moral in the story was quite clear. It emphasized how the quest for power can bring about our destruction and that true love can conquer all.
The ending was beautiful. I really enjoyed reading this book and I would strongly recommend it. In addition I would also recommend the other book in the series.

I shall definitely be dreaming of ebony black men with gray eyes and black hair for the next few days...*deep breathe* Anyway, I didn't really like Alrik in TTB, I know you weren't necessarily supposed to but his story with Arianna naturally left a little gaping hole there for him to worm his way into. My opinion of him didn't get any better upon starting this book. He was told first off that to kill his mother he had to find a witch to do it, and that the witch would die in the process of killing his mom. His response? 'Then so be it.' Seriously??? Selfish ass much??? Buuuuut of course it's never that simple, I could just see the lines I hadn't read yet going somewhere in the direction of 'It's different now, there must be another way!' I was not disappointed. AND I LOVED EVERY STEP OF THE WAY!!!! What I really loved about this book though was that it focused on Alrik and Abigail, don't get me wrong I love the other love stories in the Bellum Sisters books. But just being able to center my attention on these two and their story was fantastic.

(NOW FOR THE SPOILERS
My only complaints:
I kept thinking there'd be some huge fight (then hot make up sex) whenever Alrik and Abby talked about her letting a vampire bite her. I was kind of looking forward to her giving him a little bit of a guilt trip lol so sue me.
The other thing that I thought was kind of a big opportunity missed was a reconciliation between Alrik and Telal. Some sort of something as Abigail was being carted away for the mating ceremony like:

Telal - So...she actually fell for you while you were completely jet black?

Alrik - It shocks me too.

Nothing huge just that stupid masculine way of shoving heavy shit under the rug with a funny jab, then a fist bump to seal the 'yeah I was an asshole, but I'm not now, so we're good' thing. I don't get how men do it but it would have been so easy! Ah well, still rocked just the way it was.)

Two people from entirely different worlds are united in a quest to destroy an evil Queen. They are brought together by the Queen’s sons desire to rid himself of his evil mother, who in her desire to rule the kingdom through her son changed him into a monster.

Alrik Demuzi,The Fallen King once ruled the Shaoulin Demon world. After years of his cruel reign, he was deposed by his brother and the people and sent into exile. Alrik determined to get rid of his mother and break the spells she put on him, consulted the oldest seer for advice and perhaps a spell to help him. However, he finds out that he cannot kill his mother due to a spell she had put on him. The only one who can kill her is a powerful witch named Abbigail Krenshaw.

Abbigail a daughter of a practicing grey witch gave up her magical practice to study to become a Medical Examiner for the Paranormal Unit of the Fort Collins Police Department. Nearly done with her studies she looks forward to working in her chosen profession.

Alrik finds her and takes her below to the demon realm to help him in his quest to kill his mother. Being kidnapped by a tall, black demon is not in Abbigail’s plans and she wants to be returned home. Alrick refuses and insists she practice her magic to help him.

After traveling with the demon Aggigail begins to use her magic and it begins to grow stronger. However, Alrik’s quest is not an easy one and the two learn to depend on each other.

Book 4 of the Bellum Sisters brings in a half-sister for Chloe, Willow and Lily. A sister they never knew they had. If you read and enjoyed the previous books, book 4 continues the story in this wonderful tale.

I really wanted to read the story of Alrik, because I wanted him to find his own happy end. I looked forward to it, from the moment I finished book three in this series.

Unfortunately I couldn't finish this book. First of all, there were quite a few editing errors, like spelling mistakes, double commas, missing words and so on. That messes with the whole reading experience.
Then I've had my issues with Abbigail. I don't like her name (the double "b" irritated me). Her name begins with an "A". So we have the heroine, the hero and the dead lover of the hero, all with A-names. Where is the imagination? There are so many names out there.
While reading the third book in this series, I really fell in love with Arianna. She was perfect for Alrik and I wished it could have been her. That's the reason why I just couldn't open up to Abby. I didn't hate her, but she wasn't the one.

The whole story about Father Bellum and his affair, and the pregnancy and never seeing his daughter while searching for his mate? Well, I didn't believe it. At all! He doted so much on his three daughters, I'll never believe that he would abandon his other daughter. And to have an affair with the mother of his daughter for years, but never meeting said child? Nope.
Everything felt constructed, just so that somewhere out there is a fourth Bellum child, so that there's material for one more story. And this one felt like it was written from a very different person as the others. The inner voice of the book didn't match the others.

I love the three books in this series, really love them. And I will read them again and again. But for me this series ends with book three.

I’m a huge fan of T.A. Grey.; I think her novels are well written with fantastic characters, steamy scenes, and strong females to stand up to the pure alpha males she creates. The latest and I do believe final book in the Bellum Sister series, The Fallen King, was a great conclusion. I know that like many others, I felt a longing to know what happened to Alrik at the end of Ties that Bind and thankfully, T.A. Grey read my mind and wrote his story.

Alrik is broken and damaged by the many wicked things his mother did to him but he finally has a chance to free himself and find absolution. The only problem is–– he’ll have to kill someone to do it. Normally this wouldn’t affect the hardened warrior but that was before he met Abbigail. She appears to be weak and unable to handle herself but nothing could be further from the truth. Abbigail has strength that cannot be measured and she makes certain Alrik knows it at every turn. Oh and did I forget to mention that Abbigail is connected to Chloe, Willow, and Lily? *Huge cheeky grin*

Another fantastic book, T.A.!

If you pick up the Bellum Sisters series, you won’t be disappointed!
Chains of Frost (The Bellum Sisters #1)
Bonds of Fire (The Bellum Sisters #2)
Ties That Bind (The Bellum Sisters #3)
The Fallen King (The Bellum Sisters #4)

A special note for T.A.: *Fans self before typing* If you ever get a whim; I wouldn’t mind knowing more about Aidan. His vampire sexiness was, *grin* well…hot! :P

When you have lost the love of your life, have been betrayed by your brother and almost killed by your mother. Then your not in one of the best moods you can think off. Alrik "The Fallen King" had to find a solution to get rid off his mother. After seeing a seer, there is only one solution! The human Abbigail Krenshaw.

Abbigail Krenshaw is supposed to be the key to saving The Fallen King , by killing his mother. How in hell does she supposed to do that? Yes she is human, small and breakable compared to the demons living in this strange realm where her sexy king brought her, eeeh Kitnap! With her siren blood flowing in her, she is determent to concur Alrik's heart and together with that, save his life!

T.A. Grey has written a really original story. All paranormal books do like to sound a bit alike the last months but I really think this one is refreshing. The Siren and Fallen King combination is a good mix to read about in this loverly story The Fallen King.

The characters are strong and well described. And combined with the world building and his paranormal habitants, fast paced action scenes and hot elements between the main couple. I think this is a great fourth book for this fantastic Series.

The Fallen King is now about Abbigail one of the four sisters. This is the fourth book of The Bellum Sisters Series. I am very curious if this series will continue or id this is the last book of this fantastic series.

I loved this book! I didn't really have high expectations for this book since I wasn't a big fan of Alrik's, but I was so wrong. This book blew me away. I loved Alrik and Abbigail's relationship. Alrik tried so hard to keep Abby at arms length, but she was just so smart, beautiful, strong, and courageous that Alrik fell for her, hard. Abby is my favorite heroine in this series. She's just awesome. She's nice and kind, but piss her off and she'll give you a piece of her mind. Abby could kick serious butt too. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind and stand up for herself or others. I loved her loyalty to Alrik and how they both began to slowly fall for each other after spending more time together. I really enjoyed the secondary characters, too, like Aiden. I definitely wouldn't mind reading a story about Aiden and Abby's friend Jenna. ;)

Overall, I really really really loved The Fallen King. I kind of wished we had a more in depth reunion of Alrik and Telal at the end, but I guess it's okay. I loved the ending anyways. This series is definitely one my favorites, and I would recommend it to anyone who loves paranormal romance.

T.A. Grey is fast becoming a favorite of mine in the PNR genre. Its a shame she doesn't publish hard copy books which limits her audience to jut e-reader putting her behind other famous PNR writers who captures both. I loved this book, I felt that with this book she can compete with the best. Grey improves tremendously from her first 3 book in this series by eliminating multiple secondary characters and focusing on the main characters story which allowed use to gain a better understanding about them and where the story was going. I was taken on journey that was packed full of actions, emotions and a desire for a second chance for happiness, and I couldn't wait till the end to see their HEA. I was a bit disappointed by how she wrapped up the ending involving the step sisters and Alrik and his brother, I wanted to read the encounter and the emotions involved, but it could just be because I didn't want the book to end and wanted to keep reading more about these people. That being said I can't wait for the next book which will be Aidan's story.

I have read many of T.A. Grey's books. The Kategan series, The Bellum Sisters and many of her stand alone books.

I received The Fallen King as an ARC. I was looking forward to reading this book after reading The last Bellum Sister book (Ties that Bind).

I can honestly say that I was NOT disappointed. This book delivered all I expected and more. Alrik was an interesting character to me and I enjoyed reading about his journey to become who he is now.

If you are looking for a good Paranormal Erotic Romance book, I recommend reading this book and the other series I have listed above. You do not have to read the Bellum Sister trilogy first, but I recommend you do to get a better idea of the "world" and the characters involved.

You will not be disappointed when you read any of T.A. Grey's books.

Warning: my review contains spoilers!

I absolutely loved this book. After reading Ties that Bind (the previous book in this series), I wasn't really looking forward to reading about King Alrik. I do love bad boys but I just didn't see how this seriously bad boy could be redeemed. Luckily the book had an awesome synopsis so I bought it, read it (actually twice now), and absolutely loved it. T.A. Grey did a wonderful job of making Alrik's redemption believable. I really loved how he didn't fall in love with Abbigail right off the bat, instead it was a slow progression . Love at first sight would have totally ruined the story. The book had just the right combination of action adventure, romance, and back story to make it a perfect story in my opinion.

The fallen king

I have enjoyed the story about Alrik and Abby. Good plot with twist. But the end felt a bit rushed, would have loved more details about Alrik and Telal when Alrik meet him again, there was no information only that they meet all at the ceremony. Could be a lot more details, in which part they going to live, no info of the rouge group who helped them at the end, special Aidan, I liked this character, what a shame that the group has no involvement later in the book. just not enough interactions with the characters at the end.
But overall the action was good in details. Pity about the rushed end. It's in all books in this series, I liked the series and storyline, but the sisters could have a bit more conversations.

T. A. Grey's "The Fallen King"--book 4 of "The Bellum Sisters Trilogy"--is a dark, sexy, and seductive continuation of the Bellum's story in a dangerous paranormal world. Not only does Grey add a host of intriguing new male and female characters, but she revisits each and every beloved character from previous storylines. Grey's world in "The Fallen King" is enchanting, fantastical, and mesmerizing. Her writing style and attention to detail grabs the reader from the very beginning and never lets go. Grey's exceptional character development and emotional depth demonstrate her tremendous growth as a writer. Grey has hit the mark with "The Fallen King"...

At the end of Ties That Bind I really did not like Alrik. However, deep down he was a kind, loving man who was just curse by his evil mother. Abbigail learned to love him just the way he was and was able to touch him so deep that he had no other way than to fall in love with her. At the end of the book I was crying so hard when Abby defeated Alriks mother. His desperation to save her just undid me completely. I think this is one of T.A. Grey's books because it was able to capture my attention from the begging to end.

Loved this book. Couldn't stop reading it. I was up til 430am finishing it. great action, great sex. Two things needed for a great read in my book. My only problem was the cheesy fairy ending. A quick wedding. I do. I love you and the live happily ever after. Ugh really? She meets her half sisters for the first time and they just accept her. Ugh really? These two things happened in a hurried final chapter. The rest of the book fantastic.

Redemption...This was a much more developed story, with the hero and heroine having the book all to themselves.

I will admit that of the 4 books in the series, this was the best.

However, again there were so many grammatical errors, agreement errors and just plain sentences that just didn't make sense. The errors were so frequent, I started highlighting them and the errors really took away from the story.

Way to go T A. Perfect tie in to the Bellum Sisters trilogy. Just enough fighting, demons and sex... Ok, I might have liked a little more sex... Ahhh but that is so me.
