In the 3rd installment of the Assassins Anonymous series, Kayla is finally free of her CIA, FBI and Freak Show (AKA, The Program) tethers. At least, she's pretty sure things are heading in that direction. After all, it's about frigging time karma smiled on her - she hasn't shot anyone in... months! But nothing is ever easy for our poor recovering assassin. Her ex is turning into something of a stalker, her... who knows what kind of label to put on Dmitri, but whatever he is, he's MIA - again! Her mother keeps letting little secrets slip that are wreaking havoc with Kayla's sanity. And to top it all off, her impulse control is at an all-time low.
At least she hasn't crapped her pants in public lately, unlike Gramps - who retaliates by tranquilizing the delivery man. Good times. Now if only she could get her blackmailer off her back (did I forget to mention that part?) so she can locate Dmitri, find out if he actually is a lying, cheating jerknut, and get on with conforming to suburbia.
Combining mystery, edgy chick-lit, and a dash of paranormal, FLIRTING WITH SECRETS is a foray into the life of a snarky ex-hitwoman who quickly discovers that living a "normal" life may just be her most difficult mission so far.
After all, she's making this twelve-step program for recovering assassins up as she goes along.

Sadly this book went the way of so many "third in the series" books, badly. It just seemed like the author lost interest. The characters seemed to be going through the motions without any growth, the plot was weak and there were numerous typos and grammar mistakes. Love the author and loved the earlier books but this one just left me wishing for the end.

Loved the 3rd installment to the Assassins Anonymous series! Maybe it was the Greek island setting that did it for me. This is my favourite book of the series, so far!
