Jimmy Lee Swaggart was an American Pentecostal televangelist, pastor, media mogul, author and gospel music artist.
Swaggart was ordained as a pastor by the Assemblies of God. He went on to become one of the most well-known televangelists in America. During the 1980s, his crusades were a major part of his ministry—drawing large crowds and receiving significant media attention. Swaggart founded Jimmy Swaggart Ministries, which owns and operates the SonLife Broadcasting Network (SBN). He also founded the Jimmy Swaggart Bible College. Swaggart was the senior pastor of the Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Swaggart was known for scandals involving prostitutes and revolutionary groups accused of war crimes in southern Africa. One prostitution scandal gave rise to a televised February 21, 1988, speech by Swaggart known as his "I have sinned" speech. After Swaggart was defrocked by the Assemblies of God due to sexual immorality, he moved on to become a non-denominational minister.
Swaggart wrote about 50 Christian books offered through his ministry. He sold over 15 million records worldwide as a gospel artist and he also received one Grammy Awards nomination.

Oh how I thank God for this Bible!! it is KJV with only changes being like "thee or thou " but nothing that changes meaning of a verse. The commentary notes r placed in the verse or directly after it but in diff color of ink than the verse itself. So no hunting all over the page or backnof chapter to get understanding of the scripture. It makes you WANT to read it bc u can understand it!! Thanks to JSM for putting this Bible together!!!

My favorite Bible!

This is the best version of the Bible I’ve ever read. It’s the King James Version with Jimmy Swaggart’s commentary interspersed throughout. I firmly believe his commentary was inspired by the Holy Spirit, and these notes have greatly blessed me and given me a deeper understanding of God’s Word. It’s changed my life. I encourage everyone to read this Bible! It will open your eyes and bless you!

As This is a Study Bible, I will be reading it all the time. I really like the Expositor's Study Bible, by Jimmy Swaggart. It's the Bible along with the study of the word from the Cross, with it.

A great resource to understand some of those more difficult passages. I like to use it in conjunction with my ESV Study Bible.

Blasphemous. Swaggart's words are all in red. Not at the bottom like most notes and commentaries, but thrown in between Scripture. Jesus' words are black like Satan's, Swaggart's are red to change what Jesus said. Swaggart's first lie starts in Genesis 1:3. The bible says God created the earth without form and void... Swaggart the serpent shows up saying no he didn't. Ye, hath God said? pops up early in this book I would use for the bottom of my bird cage.

Excellent bible notes. Wonderful to read. Great focus on the cross of Christ. Theologically sound. If as a Christian, you want a solid biblical foundation- this bible has to be part of your growth. Quick referencing to get better understanding. A few years ago, I read it cover to cover and it enhanced my growth in biblical knowledge to a large degree. Every preacher must have a copy without which your library is in lack for certain.

Must be read in conjunction with JS Commentaries to get fuller understanding of expositional notes. Interesting OT typological studies. Amazing insights on eschatological issues. Soteriological issues are sound, except for an issue of the order of salvation. Ecclesiology sound- with great notes on the mighty baptism of the Holy Spirit and church governance. I enjoy the centrality of the cross in all notes - constantly bringing the reader back to the work and effectiveness of Jesus' salvific work.

Thank you, brother Jimmy. You've always been a blessing. Ignore all the naysayers... let them do half of what you have accomplished then let them speak. Anyway, we will pray for the Lord to use you more and more. May the Lord bless you and the work.

I found it so helpful.
The wording was understandable.

Bible for everyone

I choose this because the commentaries are by a man who is being honest. His life , he admits, is just like anyone else's. He's humble enough to admit his faults and sins before a Holy God.
