Chips

Rate this book
This is a gem of a book Like today's microchips, each of its essays is light in weight but weight in content. Marked by insight, wit and sharp edges, they are chipped from a variety of targets-- church and state, history and education, politics and economics. And when their author attacks injustice, prejudice or hypocrisy, he lets the chips fall where they may. "Scotty" is well known for his scholarly books and articles, but some of his sharpest writing appears in these pithy little essays. Short on words but long on meaning, they provide a lot of food for thought which might just lead to self-analysis.
