This book and the first, The Crystal Snowstorm, are my favorites of the series. I feel like this series is under read and under appreciated. It's so good. So well done. The characters are superb. Everything is lovely. Recommended for all.
I got this book as a gift in a box of hand-me-down books from my great-aunt. The books in the box were awesome, I was captivated for hours upon hours and this book had such a lovely cover but I didn't read it right away. I had decided to save it for a rainy day. A few weeks later it was pouring outside and I knew, this was it. I'm going to read it today. The window was cracked open, and the lights were all off so I used the sunlight and a dim lamp to light my room. I couldn't put the book down, I fell in love with the vivid characters and the descriptions. It was like a gentle breath, a sigh from a lover from a past life. I read the book many times. The book was perfect. A Christian undertone and is child-friendly.
