Two child deities pulling pranks on a British weeb man, by making his life hell for a day, but he keeps trying to make the best out of each situation. Was a bit inspiring and a bit sad sometimes, and the language is simple. N3 level.

軽くて読みやすかったです。メッセージ自体は良かったんですけど、そこまでの道はいろいろな出来事に対しての馬鹿げたで薄っぺらな反応……好きな部分もあったんですけど。だいたいは浅はかすぎたと思います。

This book is about making the most out of a bad situation in the most literal sense possible. The subject of the pranks of two childish gods, one man has the worst day ever as almost every hour of the day is filled with increasingly dramatic bad luck and misfortune.

Despite all of this every situation had an upside even those of such grandiose catastrophe that I thought were unable to be overcome.

Thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable and a pleasant quick read. Given the small length of this book I was done within 4hrs.

La historia empieza con dos pequeños dioses que deciden tomar el libro de la vida y jugar a cambiar el destino de una persona random en la tierra. Esta persona resulta ser Alex, un hombre britanico que termina pasando una desgracia tras otra debido a esta broma de los cielos. Sin embargo, incluso después de cometer un grave error en el trabajo y ser despedido, tener alopecia, cometer fraude, que su casa se incendie y su esposa e hijos lo abandonen, él no se deprime y con su ingenio sigue entreteniendo a los demás y viviendo una vida con una actitud positiva.

Opinión: Es una novela fácil de leer y con grandes momentos cómicos. Tiene un remarcable humor japonés y es muy divertida. El protagonista es carismatico y deja un gran mensaje: A pesar de los malos momentos que te puede dar vida, siempre hay una manera de verlo todo de manera positiva.

In short, 「雨の日も晴れ男」is about one man's really, really bad day,

(his fate at the whim of two young gods)

and how he goes about coping with it.

Though a few of the jokes fall flat, and some knowledge of Japanese culture is essential to the book making sense, this story of one man's endless positivity will most likely leave you with a smile, and teach you to look for the slivers of light on cloudy, rainy days.
