God always steps in and works in favor of those that seek his guidance. This series of church folk business has been very interesting. The Benjamin's have done a great job in intermingling with Reverend Paxton and his family. Lies, deception, blackmail and debauchery makes the church people and its leadership look like a secular club.
Shanice is determined to make Reverend Leroy Paxton pay for his deceptions. She's blackmailing Leroy and making him place her into a position of authority; the Assistant Pastor. Michelle, Leroy's wife, knows something is wrong but sometimes she chooses to run away from problems instead of facing them head on. Eric and Sean, their sons, have strayed from their religious ways and are living secular lives. Tayah, their daughter, is a workaholic and struggling in her marriage to a man she doesn't really know. Now a five-year old secret will erupt the unsteady lifestyles of everyone and the outcome is truly something to read.
You can't jump into the series without starting from the beginning. You'll miss a lot of the good stuff. A good read....very good read.
As the Pastor, it was past time, that Leroy fired his secretary Brenda. Her judgement of Honey, was ridiculous. He should have given her scriptures to read when she went home. Obviously Abraham saw something good in Honey made him chose her to be his wife. They held Abraham up on a totem pole, so his judgement and character had to mean something. Then they wanted to keep Honey from speaking at Abrahams funeral because no one knew he was married, let alone to a prostitute. Leroy had the nerve to explain to Honey a scripture in the Bible of not being unequally yoked. He missed the scripture about Hosea. Not to mention Hosea was not equally yoked with Gomer when God told him to marry her. Don’t quote only the scriptures that you think will give you a pass, quote the ones that will convict you as well. There isn’t a person alive who doesn’t pass judgement, but if you don’t check yourself then there lies the problem.
Wow this book was dramatic emotional and a psychological thriller. Asst Pastor Sheneice blackmailed Pastor Leroy Paxton she uses her sister and brother and four years old nephew. Her brother Phillip was force into a marriage with Pastor Paxtons daughter and he abuse her. It so happen that Philip was watching a pastor preaching and he got saved, went to the police station and confessed everything . Pastor Abraham who before he was killed hire a private investigator who met with First Lady Michelle Paxton who dish out all Asst Pastor Sheniece was doing and planning to do . She try to escape but the police cruiser crash she got cripple. This was a book you start and have to finish . Good read H. H Fowler
Eighteen months of turbulent affairs plagued the livelihood of Reverend Pastor Leroy Paxton. Now his wife, Michelle Dena, has joined him as the Assistant Reverend Pastor of Mount Mariah Baptist Church in Tampa, FL. P.S. Susan "Honey" Boswick gave her life to God and joined the ⛪... Amen.
I first started reading the Church Boyz series a few years back. I finally got a chance to read books 2 and 3. I am so glad I did. Even though it is fictional it has that real life feel. I have really enjoyed reading this book. I love that it brings you back to biblical principles. I can't wait to start on book 4.
The Church Boyz books 1-3 was my first time reading Fowler's writing. It took all 3 books to finish one story. At times storyteller was convulted. I will not be reading more Fowler's work, no really my taste in Christian ficton writing.
Brilliant and captivating. Could not stop reading. It show how difficult life can be and that you never know what situation you may be in. Never judge anyone.
I simply loved this series from book 1-3 , there wasn't a dull moment. the first series I've read that was not only a clean read and detailed but it took me back to my church roots and how as preacher's kids we are held to a certain standard and when we fall the saints try to go in and judge. we all have sinned, and this book elaborated on sins, forgiveness and everything in between. you don't want to skip this series
l really liked the character update you added to the story. There are a few questions that were not answered like did Sanchez ever tell about the drug his sister gave Dominic? Did Amoree ever admit to her brother what she did? More importantly who was working with Shaniece the person she was talking with on the phone that was having Rashard followed? Please email my answers I know you may be busy but I need to know
Shaniece really steps up the pressure, ready to bring her plot to a conclusion. A'moree plots evil to get Dominic in bed. Nice turn for Phillip and Ellie. Ends abruptly. Personally, I think the whole series should have been a single book, maybe 350-400 pages. Interesting twist at the end to give a "What are they doing today" for each of the fictional characters.
All That I Expected and More! A very good story line with lots of believable twists and turns. I purchased Church Boyz III and finished it in the same day. Each book was not too long and the entire story and pieces all fit well together. I thoroughly enjoyed this series and may soon start on Church Girls.
Another great book it kept me really guessing. The stuff that happened I really didn't see coming. I love this series and can't wait to read the next one. I read this in 2 days it's the kind of book you don't want to put down not even to go to sleep lol
