A Book of Dog Breeds For Children: They're All Dogs

Rate this book
This is an e-book for young children introducing them to the idea of different dog breeds. I found when teaching very young children about dogs; they seemed to be confused when taught (for example) that a poodle was a dog, then seeing a Chihuahua that it was a dog as well.

This is an educational, yet fun book for parents to read to young children, or for early readers. It can also be a way to teach about dogs for children that might be afraid of them, in a safe, nurturing way.

The book contains photographs of 18 different dog breeds, some common, some unusual. It also contains some exercises for parents and children to do together that can foster fun, giggles, and bonding time.

They only show a handful of breeds

A Book of Dog Breeds For Children by Amber Richards is made for very young kids. There is only a handful of breads shown with a sentence apiece or so.

I'm trying to improve my french comprehension, so that eventually I can read the classic's in their original language. Right now, I'm at about a 1st - 3rd grade reading level.

I can't decide what is better; to look up every unfamiliar word, or to keep going as long as I get the gist of what I'm reading, and only look up words if I have no clue what the sentence is saying.

Any suggestions from anyone else who has tried to become literate in a second language?

Awh this is such a sweet book.

Not long, with pictures of each breed addressed. Only one page with a picture so really ideal for a before - off - to - bed book for children also engaging the child to participate by barking along.

This is really a sweet book and one I think is ideal for all parents who needs a new book to not only entertain but also educate.

I liked the photographs in this book and the information, I think kids will love reading and learning about all the amazing breeds of dogs and the author did a great job in explanations that are easier to understand and fun to learn.

Simpatico libro! Contiene suggerimenti per i genitori su come fare divertire i bambini leggendolo, e permette ai bimbi di capire che, nonostante i cani siano di forme e colori diversi, sono tutti cani.

First Reads winner. Thank you! My 4 year-old daughter loved reading about all of the dog breeds and how they bark. Dalmatians are her favorite! Nice, informative collection.

C'est un petit livre très mignon. J'ai adoré le récit interactif, avec des questions amusantes pour les enfants (Pouvez-vous ronfler comme un boxeur?). Un excellent livre pour les enfants ou les adultes comme moi qui apprennent le français!

What a fun, delightful book to read to my young child! I even learned a couple of dog breeds that I had never heard of before. I hadn't really given much thought in the past how the concept of dog breeds can be confusing to children.

Great dog book for little children

This is a great book for toddlers , there is enough information to interest them but not enough to become boring to them. The pictures are great and helps the child recognise the breeds they have read about.

This book was very information about some of the many types of dog breeds. I now know some of the different breeds of dogs that I did not already know. I think children would benefit greatly from this book.

A few typos....

... but otherwise a cute read. My son enjoyed reading it out loud to me. I will definitely use this book again when my youngest is old enough.

Pésima traducción al español

El libro es corto, con imágenes pequeñas y lo peor es que la traducción es terrible. El peor libro que he encontrado para kindle.

waste of time

Don’t bother, I could make something better by using google and save myself some money (luckily it’s for free at the point of posting this review)
