He took me by force, terrorized me into submission and made me his. To make matters worse, I had to put up with his ruthless, backstabbing family who hated me and wanted to kill me.
I despised the bastard and I told him that. Spark flew. Fists too.
When the FBI came on the scene and secretly recruited me to help put Diablo behind bars, I was thrilled. I wanted them to throw his ass behind bars, then torment him for the rest of his life like he was doing to me. I was willing to do whatever it took to get him there.
But, the more I rejected Diablo, the more he wanted me.
At times he wanted to kill me because of my insolence, but other times he just wanted me to love him.
I was his Gringa and in an attempt to get my love, he began to change for me. Drastic changes that made me laugh at him at first, then made me curious and even intrigued me.
After all, I was an ignored child and as an adult, nobody gave a rat’s ass about me. Here was a man who actually wanted me and was willing to do whatever it took to get me – how the hell could I not be flattered?
As the days went by, I found myself drawn to him and I began seeing him differently. When I found out about his past, everything changed.
I now wanted to protect my murderer, my tormentor, The Devil of Mexico from the FBI and I was prepared to lie to the Feds, if it meant saving him from them.
I was even prepared to go to jail for him.
And I did.
My days in Mexico were filled with violence, hate, lust and sorrow.
It was also filled with laughter, love and passion and most importantly, it taught me that love conquers all.

3.5 this is actually really funny in the beginning and the story kept me engrossed! Read it awhile ago and forgot to rate it.

Wow. hmmm. Just wow.

The series as a whole, I couldn't put it down.. although I did skip through a small chunk of it when I had a foreboding of how the story would play out.

And that foreboding was warranted; this series did not take the direction I wanted it to take at all and I was disappointed. Character development, characters' relationships, certain controversial scenes, and overall plot design- all of these could have used a little more TLC and ingenuity. But like I said I couldn't put it down because despite all the bad, this was still an entertaining read. So 3 stars!

Omg……just WOW…… I absolutely LOVED this book!!!! I was a little uncertain at first, but after I read the first chapter I was hooked! Payton is just hilarious, she had me laughing so many times with her smart mouth and attitude! My absolute favorite scene was when she was drunk and pissed at Diago …… lol it had me cracking up!

Payton and Diago……they're actually perfect for each other! Yeah at first I hated him but from the get go I could tell there was more to him then what Payton knew! This book when I was about half way I really and truly didn't see it ending well! But the ending surprised me and had me laughing at everyone's reaction to Payton's news!! Overall it a great book and I believe everyone would love it!

This book was a joy to read. Brilliant from start to finish. Happily all 4 books in this series is included in this collection and so I able to read the full saga from start to finish. There were laugh out loud moments that had me almost clutching. my side.
So at the risk of this review being called repetitive it was simply BRILLIANT.

Don't know why I like this book I mean who likes a book in which hero shot heroin when he met her first time and withheld against her will when he met her second time and rapes her when met her third time.

5 "farking" awesome stars!

It's not every day you read a book about violence, abuse, rape, drugs, bunch of criminals and you can laugh your ass off. And when the FBI makes appearence things become really interesting. But after all it's an incredibly beautiful love story, modern version of the Beauty and the Beast.

What I loved most was the writing style and dialogues, their mexican-english was "farking" awesome! And the characters - crazy, nuts - all of them! They were so funny, I adored every single one of them. I even enjoyed Tongue, whos trademark foreplay was black eye, at one moment. The book just wouldn't be complete without him.

There were some minor typos, but I was able to overlook them. The story itself was just so good. It was very emotional and I really enjoyed it.

Another exciting read by Eve Rabi. Attempted murder, drug cartels, psycho mothers and dysfunctional families! I love that Ms. Rabi's stories aren't sugar-coated with a perfect romance and sweet flowery words of devotion. Her books are gritty, shocking and full of angst. Her characters also have their own voice. No two characters sound the same. The story of Diablo and Payton is a tricky one. Diablo thinks she's a spy and tries to kill her, only she barely escapes with her life, only to end up right back in his evil clutches. Now, I will admit, the beginning was a little sketchy because I had no idea why he thought she was a spy and that question is never answered, so that threw me off a bit. After Diablo forces Payton to come to his compound, this story was similar to Ms. Rabi's Obsessed with me series. Diablo's family hates her and treats her like crap and he basically ignores her unless he wants sex. As both of their pasts are revealed, they get to know each other and Diablo wants to become a better man for Payton, only Payton is confused as to what she wants - after all, he did basically force her to live with him and bend to his wishes. This book showed Stockholm Syndrome at its best. I know there are mixed reviews because of forced sex and grammatical errors, but I enjoyed the story and could over-look the grammatical errors, even though at times it was a little annoying to have to re-read. As for rape, as the story progressed, you are shown why Diablo is the way he is and how he had to be brutal, and it seemed as though he didn't consider what he did as rape because he was shocked that she was crying and he apologized. He was naive in the area of sex and he had to be taught how to seduce a woman, so I thought that was the point the author was trying to get at. Anyway, this book showed how a relationship built on domination and manipulation can change into a heartbreaking love story.
