Buku self help dan paduan bisnis memang banyak, tapi yang membahas kajian bidang craft dan art bisa dihitung dengan jari.
Buku ini ditulis dengan suara yang bersahabat, penuh motivasi dan menyemangati. Beberapa pembahasan terasa sederhana, beberapa kita sudah pernah dengan dan masih relevant, beberapa topik tidak bisa diraih dalam hitungan hari tapi semua ini membantu para pekerja seni untuk menilai passion mereka dengan sudut pandang yang baru.
Buku ini ditulis dengan suara yang bersahabat, penuh motivasi dan menyemangati. Beberapa pembahasan terasa sederhana, beberapa kita sudah pernah dengan dan masih relevant, beberapa topik tidak bisa diraih dalam hitungan hari tapi semua ini membantu para pekerja seni untuk menilai passion mereka dengan sudut pandang yang baru.

This book puts massive potential into the hands of a craft business owner. In it, you are introduced to a power-seller couple, Jason and Cinnamon Miles, who have been at it for a few years now. They have so many profitable branches of their company (Liberty Jane Clothing), it's simply unbelievable. They are on their way to becoming a million dollar company! So if anyone out there is wondering: Yes, a successful online craft business can certainly be built from home.
You'll learn about the history behind their own online business, and see the stepping stones of how it was done. The book is split up between 15 days, just enough time to really boost your business. Each day you read about a new topic, tool, or angle on the subject, and it provides you with an action step, which can be done right away.
Contrary to what I believed the book would be about, the Miles actually prefer eBay as their business platform, choosing auctions as the best method to sell their products. There are a few mentions of Etsy throughout, but the book would be much more beneficial to users who are ready to use eBay.
Although the Miles' business strategies may not work for every type of craft business, the book can give anyone a new outlook on their products. Maybe you'll find the one thing that is lacking with your own product listings. Just making a single change in the right direction might surprise you with the outcome. "Craft Business Power" guides you to find the new step that you need to take TODAY.

In a nutshell: Niche and specialty items = $$$
Notes: I think Jason and Cinnamon were smart in filling in a void and creating these one-of-a-kind/specialty pieces. Some of the info were very useful and helpful... others didn't really relate to me because they focus more on an eBay selling tactic.
Finished this one today just to meet my revised 2013 reading quota.

A great amount of info in this little book. I use the patterns from these authors in my own business, and it's nice to see extra added tips on how to improve my sales, photography, and loads more. Well worth it to read this if you have a small craft business, and you want to improve every aspect of it.

I thought this was going too be a quick, easy read. However, there is a whole lot of information in this book. I might have to go back and take notes.
