Brad was born in rural New England and grew up reading Louis L'Amour, Luke Short, A.B Guthrie, Jr., and even Edgar Rice Burroughs. He knew at 14 he wanted to write for a living, and refused to give up the goal even when the odds seemed overwhelmingly against it. Now, thanks to Amazon, his stories are now available. He is a member of the Western Writers of America
Brad fell in love with the Old West at a very young age. It began with movies and old TV series like GUNSMOKE and BONANZA, and later expanded to western novels. This led to his study of western history. The pioneers, the Indians, the cattlemen, the gunfighters. His interest in history is not so much about wars and great leaders, but the people who lived on the land. And that's what he writes about. The people. He doesn't write about the old west as much as he writes about what it might have felt like to be there.
He loves contact from readers. He can be reached by email at mccabewesterns@gmail.com if you want to discuss his stories, or even just the American West in general.
A former gunfighter rides into town. A woman tries to keep her ranch from a land hog. Then another stranger rides into town. There's romance and gunfights.
The novel has a false start, but other than that it's a decent western.
Brad Dennison is certainly at the top of the game when it comes to spinning a tale with as many twists and turns as a mountain road. TREMAIN will definitely go on my list of best reads in a long while. I was impressed with the writer's knowledge and seemingly factual understanding of that time in the history of the south, Texas in particular. I read a lot of western and this one struck me as truly one of the few that I would read again & again. Bravo 👏👏!!!!!
A bully has taken over the town. His name is Jonathan Hooper, he held the lives of the town's people and those unfortunates who were just drifting through. They all faced this fate of judge and jury handed out by Jonathan Hooper. Well, Napoleon met his Waterloo, so did Jonathan Hooper....hung...for all lives he ruined and those he murdered...hanging time has arrived. ........BEWARE OF THE AVENGING ANGEL......
Dennison writes well develops his plots, and develops his characters. What more could we ask for? The violence wasn’t extreme the romance was believable.
Didn't live the character development. Took strange turns without too much explanation. Tried to cover too many topics without really resolving others.
This book has just great suspense from beginning to end. You're never quite sure when the next thing is going to happen. The detail is so great you can picture everything that is going on. Can't wait to read book 2.
Almost formulaic but with some interesting twists that make it not your average western. The version I read was poorly edited, but it didn't detract too much form the book's readability. Will read more from this author.
Brad has done it again. An excellent start for a hero. Action is always moving forward. This time he has kept me unable to guess in advance which direction he about to take me. This is one of his best qualities.
I read for pleasure and relaxation, not to write reviews. I feel the star rating system should be sufficient for most readers and that reviews should be left to recognized critics.
