Discerning and Defeating the Ahab Spirit: The Key to Breaking Free from Jezebel

Rate this book
In the Old Testament, Jezebel was married to Ahab, king of Israel. Ahab ceded his power to his wife, acquiescing to her control and becoming passive. In the same way today, people demonstrating the control and domination of the Jezebel spirit compel people into the passivity of an Ahab spirit, whether in a marital situation, a church, or any other relationship. It doesn't have to be this way. Using sound biblical teaching and real-life illustrations--some from his own life--bestselling author Steve Sampson shows readers how to discern and defeat the spirit of Ahab, Jezebel's ancient ally. It is possible to be assertive in a godly way, and Sampson's teaching will motivate believers trapped in passivity to claim their freedom and become a positive force for change.

Very enlightening!

My wife and I both began reading this book on the recommendation of another pastor in order to understand better some of the people we minister to.
What started as a quest for information on others quickly became a mirror to our own self and the understanding that we had some things to change.
It has also helped very much in how we are recognizing and interacting with those of the Ahab and Jezebel spirit.
It will be a helpful resource for a very long time!

this book was good however it did not give me all the answers I was looking for. better the the Jezebel book but a lot of the info was repeated in this book. I do think you have to read both to get the advice you are looking for.

Great

Just great. Nothing else to say really. It just was an easy read. I think some of the scripture pulled out didn't fit the examples but that's just me.

This is an excellent book for the purpose of refreshing ones memory and understanding of how to safely conduct spiritual warfare. Steve Sampson does a wonderful job with some self disclosure and sharing of his own experiences. I have given copies to members of The Moobile Prayer Warriors for self defense against the enemy.
