The bottom line is you CAN achieve that “Hollywood babe” body without having your life revolve around it.

How “flexible dieting” works and how you can use it to finally free yourself from the dietary prisons many people confine themselves to.A simple solution to “metabolic damage” that easily and painlessly speeds your metabolism back up to where it should be.The “deadly” training mistakes most people make once their “newbie gains” are spent and how to avoid this pitfall. The most effective exercises for building and strengthening every major muscle group in your body.A “paint by numbers” workout program that will force your body to build muscle and get and stronger. What type of cardio you should do to maximize fat lass, how much is enough, and how much is too much.A no-BS guide to supplements that will show you what works, what doesn’t, and what’s just outright fraudulent. And a whole lot more!Imagine...just a few weeks from now…finally seeing progress in the mirror and in the gym…

Imagine enjoying the added benefits of high energy levels, no aches and pains, better spirits, and knowing that you're getting healthier every day...

Hi,

I’m Mike and I’ve been training for nearly a decade now.

I believe that every person can achieve the body of his or her dreams, and I work hard to give everyone that chance by providing workable, proven advice grounded in science, not a desire to sell phony magazines, workout products, or supplements.

I’ve helped quite a few people achieve their health and fitness goals, and at their urging, I am sharing what I’ve learned and know works here in this website, and in my books.

So if you’re looking to get in shape and look great, then I think I can help you. I hope you enjoy my website and books, and feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions and I’ll do my best to help.

Sincerely,

Mike

This is an OK book. I got it for free at Amazon so I can´t complain too much about it (I guess you DO get you what you pay for)

If you´re looking for an exercise routine or a diet plan, this is not it. This is an overview of the author´s diet, nutrition and exercise point of views, and a it's marketing tool for you to buy his actual book (the one that does have the diet and exercise plan).
But this isn't a total waste of your time, it does have some interesting information that might point you to the right path in regards of this subject, that is if you haven't read or heard about it before. All the information provided here you can get for free at the internet.

If you're interested in this topic, read it if you can get it for free, otherwise skip it.

This is an advertisement...not a book

A short and sweet, science backed guide to all things muscle and fitness for women. There's a fair bit of product shilling at the end, which I skipped, but the first part about training and food is great. It's no-nonsense, no gimmicks, and just plain sensible approach to getting "fit", whatever that means for you. There's info for losing fat, gaining muscle, maintaining muscle, etc.

I'm going to glean a few nuggets from the nutrition section, but the most useful to me is the fitness plan. I'll be starting it this week! Hoping to shed some Christmas cookie fat and preserve the little muscle I was able to build these last few months.

It is an informer Ian, not a real book.

Very disappointed. Just a long-winded attempt to sell supplements. The author is knowledgeable but would rather shill his company and products.

This isn't a book. It's an advertisement to buy the authors supplement line and other products.

Sensible information, nothing revolutionary. Can find most of this info on his website, however it was a free download from Amazon, so to be expected. Definitely a promo for his products.

‘Thinner, Leaner, Stronger’ was the first book by Michael Matthews and I enjoyed that when I got into fitness years ago. I’ve read it a couple of times ever since and I would still recommend this.

I like to read inbetween my sets in the gym, which is why I started this book. But it was… bad. I THOUGHT it would be catered towards women, as these’s a woman on the covers and it references Thinner, Leaner, Stronger (the male version of the book is called Bigger, Leaner, Stronger). But Matthews then continues to show anatomy pictures of men? I don’t care about mens muscles, show me what it looks like on a woman!

Also, there’s a full chapter on training calves?? What woman trains calves?! I mean, I do, but not 3 calf specific exercises per work out?! That’s crazy.

The other half of the book, the supplement part, is just advertisement for this own supplements, so I skipped that. And then… the book was already finished. So yeah, no, just skip this one!

At last!

This book covers the simple effective truths about how to achieve fantastic results, quickly. There's no marketing for expensive products etc. Packed with to the point helpful advice, this is a must read for anyone who has spent their money on weight loss comics & not got the results they were promised.

There is nothing wrong with this book insofar as it is basic but okay fitness advice rebranded from a previous book for dudes. My biggest issue is that the rebranding was sort of incomplete and often it was clear he had forgotten this was a book he seemed to be aiming at women.
Otherwise? I got it free off Amazon and it seemed pretty good for free fitness advice.

No BS that is true

Easy read, that cuts through all the lies we keep being told from supplement companies and fitness companies to confuse the public

The author tends to come off annoying, arrogant, and somewhat self-righteous. This book is an extremely irritating way of trying to sell his other book, "Thinner Leaner Stronger".
But I want to buy it. His information is good, and although I take everything with a grain of salt, I believe his intentions are good, and he really believes in what he's doing.
This book isn't much good on it's own, but I think you should definitely read it if you're considering buying his book "Thinner Leaner Stronger", this way you get a free look at what it's all about.
From what I've seen Mike Matthews is a well intentioned guy who's writing comes across the wrong way.
I for one am interested in learning more.

I've red lots of books on how to get fit...
I'm 14 years old and have suffered threw bullying at school and low self confidence for years.Later I went threw long periods starving my self to lose wait. Of course this did work but as said: I dint have strength to get me threw the day. I'm a dancer and there for i couldn't lift my body while dancing, because i dint have strength and dint do the right workout.
This book has inspired me a lot.
I want to say thank you to the author of this book(Michael Matthews)for making me realize what I was doing to my body. And all the mest up stuff I believed.

Not sure I really took anything away from this book

I began reading this book with high expectations. I was hoping to learn something new to help me through the next of phase of my fitness journey. I will probably re-read this one, in case I missed something. However, after finishing this book, the only thing I recall is that the author was really pushing another of his books.

Spent a majority of the book asking you to read his other books for more information on different topics. So, just a big advertisement.

He tells you to not believe all the crap you read in fitness magazines, but then throws in "starvation mode" and "eat frequent small meals" ~ Which, by the way, starvation mode (the way he talks about it) is a myth and meal volume and frequency have been proven to not make a damn bit of difference on fat loss.

While a fair share of the information was not new to me, the way it was presented and explained was very simple and easy to understand, while still keeping me engaged mentally. I did learn a few new things, most notably the high-weight versus high-rep argument for gaining lean muscle. Definitely worth the price...since it's free!

This book is exactly the same as Maximum Muscle from the same author, except a few words that are different and there is some tips for building a bootie. Otherwise it's a rip-off without much focus on women. The Maximum Muscle book is good, thus this is alsk good content in general, just not too focused on women.

This is a great introductory book for all those women out there that believe the lies the diet and fitness industry put out there. Oh, and it's free on Kindle. So you have nothing to lose to hear the truth about getting fit.

Good Basic Outline

This book has useful information and is well written. The author knows what he is talking about, although this book is absolutely a tool to sell his other books...but it works because I'll be purchasing some of his other reads next!

Not impressed. It was basically one long teaser ad for another book. It was free, so I shouldn't complain, but I'd ask for a time refund if those were available.

This is more of a teaser book to get you to buy Thinner, Leaner, Stronger. But it has some good info. Much of it is repeated in TLS.

Too much unnecessary information

Very boring. The information is too in depth and far too many excercises listed. I skipped a lot of pages and glad it was free.
