I read this a long time ago. I remembered the story and how much I loved it, but I could never remember the title or author, until today. Now I want to find a copy and reread it
Aliki says, is about two greek girls' family, Liza and Aliki, who grew up in Australia. When Liza's grandmother comes to Australia with dementia Liza and Aliki are introduced to their family's biggest secret, which is how Aliki's mother died.
This was a very captivating book with many plot twists and side plots. In some point of "Aliki says" was very sad, especially when Aliki's mother's death is being talked about. I highly recomend this book.
I quite enjoyed this, I listened to the audiobook, but feel I would have had a better experience with a physical book due to the different writing style. The story was enjoyable and relatable.
This book was... interesting. It's been a little while since I read it, but I know that I liked it. Irini Savvides has a very intersting style of writing, and I really like her writing.
