This was a mixed bag of historical anecdotes. Some were amusing and others interesting or surprising. There were enough of these to give a mark of above two stars but not more.

However, far too many of the anecdotes were either not interesting or were described in such minute and tedious detail that the life was sacked out of the anecdote.

This book isn't terrible, but I would not recommend it and I assume there are better recollections of anecdotes, which I will try out.
