Chelsea McKaslin comes home to Sunshine, Wyoming, to work as a pediatrician. She is also back home to spend Christmas with her sisters and father after the death of her mother. Since a bad breakup, Chelsea doesn’t want to get involved in a new relationship, so why does she find herself falling for widowed single-father and fellow doctor, Michael Kramer.

This was a very sweet and heartwarming inspirational romance. The characters were extremely likable and the festiveness of the holiday season was strong throughout. The story tended towards repetitiveness at times in its emphasis of how much the sisters missed their mother, and there were too many coincidental meetings between the hero and heroine, but the story was so warmly written with the spirit of Christmas throughout, it still made for an enjoyable read.

Jingle Bell Bride by Jillian Hart
Wyoming Mckaslin’s Book 1
Welcome to Sunshine, Wyoming, where you’ll be knee deep in snow, critters, Christmas and even a touch of romance. You’ll get to know four new McKaslin sisters, Chelsea, Sara Beth, Meg and Johanna. In this book you’ll get to know Chelsea….who is just beginning work in town as a Pediatrician. She’s a gal with a planner and a plan. After having her heart broken, men are not included in her plans. God may just have a plan for Chelsea that is different than her own.

Dr. Michael Kramer is a widower doing his best to raise his young daughter, Macie. He has no room in his life for relationships. When he keeps running into the beautiful new doctor in town….his heart tries to escape the iron cage he’s built around it, and it seems to be succeeding. Can two people struggling against love find happiness this Christmas?

As with all of Jillian’s books I found that having a tissue close by was a good thing as the emotions of the characters became mine. There is so much going on in this book besides just the romance story. The Mckaslin’s are facing the holiday with a sadness as their mom loved everything about the holiday from decorating to buying special gifts and this is their first Christmas without her. Several characters are dealing with guilt and what if’s. No fear though as there are plenty of positives and furry friends to bring cheer to your reading.

Another good book by Jillian Hart. Chelsea and her sisters come back home for Christmas and have to learn how to cope with the loss of their mother while trying to stay up beat for their father. While visiting the cemetery Chelsea happens upon a little girl, macie, alone and upset with a broken arm. Upon talking Chelsea finds out that macie's mother also passed away. Macie's father, Michael, grabs Chelsea assuming she is doing harm to his child.

Thinking she would never see him again Chelsea begins her work at the local hospital and discovers Michael also works there. A friendship blooms between the two, but a stronger bond is formed between macie and Chelsea. Chelsea is determined to stick to her planned list which included no men. However, her planned list became more of a jumble as her relationship with Michael intensified.

Both Chelsea and Michael come to the realization they love each other but they are both terrified of admitting it due to past relationships. They decide to remain friends so neither of them gets hurt; yet both know they can't live without each other.

Christmas morning proved to be made of miracles. Macie gets a huge surprise of not one kitten but two. Chelsea also gets the surprise of her life when Michael reveals a velvet box with a sapphire ring and marriage proposal.

Easy to enjoy and reading this, even though its a heart breaking about their Mom. At same time, so inspired story.

This was a sweet story. I liked how both Michael and Chelsea were able to overcome their fears of heartbreak and not being 'enough' and learned how to trust God's leading.

Sweet Christmas romance. Heavy on the religion, with the assumption that everyone is a church-goer and blesses their food before eating.

This was a sweet story and I liked the characters. I didn’t like how it transitioned between narrators sometimes as it was hard to recognize we switched.

REVIEW: I have read others in this series about the McKaslin family and have enjoyed them. I found this one also a good read. One of the themes of this book was the loss of a loved one near Christmas. I readily identified with this as my dad passed in December and we just lost my brother in law 10 days ago. The McKaslin family were all facing difficulties in facing the traditions of their first Christmas without their Mom. The author did a very good job of showing the various ways each of the daughters as well as their father dealt with the grief that accompanies these memories. I really like the way the relationship developed between Chelsea and Michael as they both faced difficult times in their lives. This book highlighted how important family is not only at the holidays but in facing every day life. I look forward to reading more books by Jillian Hart.

Jillian Hart is probably my favorite Love Inspired author. She just gets better at writing with every single book. The McKaslin Clan is my favorite too! It's a simple story, but I loved this book. The characters were great, the setting, story line, everything. It really made me feel like it was the Christmas season too. I'd definitely call this a heart warming story, and it wasn't really cheesy either which is important with me in these Christian Books. If you're a Christian girl/woman who has loved Jillian's other books (especially the Mckaslins) then you'll love this. Read it!

The story was cute and it was full of Christmas. Michael and Chelsea's relationship developement was sweet, both of them learning to trust someone and love again. Macie was adorable. I just had a hard time ignoring the writing. I found A LOT of grammatical errors that should not have gotten passed editing. The story of Chelsea and her sisters missing their mom, became kind of repetitive the author kept repeating that they missed their mom over and over. Half way through I felt like yelling, we get it already. It was good enough to finish reading, but not good enough to recommend.

Jillian Hart has written a delightful holiday story. Romance, faith, the power of prayer, children, pets, and family relationships are delightful parts of this novel, and it also realistically portrays single parenting and overcoming grief. Jillian Hart always writes in such a way that you feel the emotions and reactions of the characters. Heartwarming and uplifting, this is one you won't want to miss!

This may just be my favorite Jillian Hart book ever. And that is saying something since I love everything, as the words always speak to my heart and soul.

This one had a very personal feel to me though, as I knew everything the character was going through in regards to losing her mom. Everything she said and felt was spot on with the myriad of emotions I have been through! Most especially at the Christmas season! I laughed and cried, and am ever so happy to have read this charming story.

Another great book by Jillian Hart! These characters are so easy to associate with. So down to earth, the sisters have a bond that makes life good, no matter what life may throw at them! Looking forward to the rest of the books in this series.

Chelsea McKaslin is home from her residency and ready to be a doctor! Dr. Michael Kramer is raising his daughter Macie after his wife died in a car accident last year. Can two doctors fall in love? Is that the best thing on the list?
