Age 9 and up | Grade 4 and up

Chase Cooper here, and this is my sixth diary as a 6th grade ninja. As always, there's trouble brewing in the halls of Buchanan School. A bandit is on the loose who's stealing from innocent students, and as each day passes, the bandit's reach grows even further. As if the situation wasn't bonkers enough, help has come in the unlikeliest of places - Wyatt. But I have sick feeling in my stomach about the whole mystery, like something far worse is going on than anybody realizes. If I had known this was going to blow the lid off the craziest scheme this school has ever seen, then I might've stayed home in bed... Nah, who am I kidding? Staying out of trouble isn't exactly something I'm good at doing. Buckle up, kiddos, because this is going to be one heck of a bumpy ride.

Diary of a 6th Grade Ninja 6: Buchanan Bandits! is a hilarious adventure that's entertaining for children, middle school students, and adults (who secretly never grew up)!

This was a great book. This book was filled with exciting and action packed moments. One example of an action packed moment was when Chase was being chased by the "wolf pack" and ended up being cornered. One example of an exciting moment was when chase had a dream about the erasers and figured out how schetchy they were. This book can teach us to not ignore something just because you're not involved. It teaches us to help others with their problems even if it can't help us in any way. I highly recommend reading this book for all sixth graders and even early seventh graders.

I though this book was a great book. I especially liked Chase Cooper' s character in this book. This is the second book I have read from this series. There is a lot of adventure in this book because there is a Bandit on the loose in the school. The Bandit creates all kinds of issues for the students. Cooper also knows as the "6th grade Ninja" has to try stop the Bandit.

Mom review:
This was one of my (mom) favorites in this series. Although Wyatt chooses to keep his troubles a secret AGAIN I really enjoyed the way he realizes handling problems in isolation makes things worse and when he finally comes clean his friends show immense mercy with him and accept his apology. This book also provided many opportunities to pause and discuss character, integrity, lying, truth and reality with my kids. As with each of the Diary books, it provides wonderful discussion with my kids revolving around "how would you handle this? What would you say?, etc?"
And while this book is not religious it provides GREAT talking points for Biblical character and integrity and why we want to do things differently in our lives.

Kid review:
This was their favorite Diary book of the entire series so far.

This book was slower for me to figure out the mystery. I didn't see it at first but when I did...man it was good. I was disappointed that it seemed like Chase was mostly on his own this time, but his friendship with Naomi got stronger since we was his only help. I really liked how he worked it all out himself during a nap having a dream. Super cute book?

These books have a lot of grammatical errors. Otherwise, kind of cute, and definitely clean. This installment in the series had more of a trajectory to the storyline, and the kids were better supervised overall. Just still so middle school. :-)

Buchanan is overrun with a gum bandit. The children won’t tell since gum isn’t supposed to be at school anyhow. Chase wants to find the bandit but his buddies feel it’s not worth it. So Chase oops to team up Wyatt. But why is Wyatt willing to team up with Chase?

Read w/my 7 year old son some time ago. Read the whole series. Got board after about 8 books though and moved on to other things. It was cute though and he liked them. Great bedtime reading, or early reader reading.
