When the lead in a popular reality TV show called The Dating Pool goes off the deep end during a one-on-one date and starts killing members of the crew, the object of his affection has only one run.

Her flight takes her to the cabin of a (mostly) happily married couple who, in the course of the evening, dish out some punishment to her ex-Navy Seal stalker and also dish out some wisdom about how love works in the real world, when the cameras aren't rolling.

About the author

Andy Oerman was born on a small farm in Nebraska. The crushing boredom that resulted from that predicament served to leaven his latent creativity and led him to write about places having much less to do with soybeans or hoofed animals.

He grew up loving Scooby Doo, Spider-Man and Three Investigators novels, writing high fantasy with moments of low humor, and cultivating a taste for horror and science fiction. In college, he discovered Raymond Chandler. Now he weaves all of his genre love together into novels.

He has had short fiction and nonfiction printed in 13th Floor Magazine and Plains Song Review. He lives in Omaha with his wife, stepson, a whining pomchi, a howling pug, and a cat whose size and destructive potential rival some kaiju.
