This is the love journey of Jonathan and Gabrielle So Jonathan is a firefighter also known as a superhero. Jonathan risk his life every day fighting fires one particular day he raced his life to save the life of a young girl and while doing this he ended up hurting himself and had to be in the hospital with smoke and collation and broken ribs. While in the hospital frustrated and ready to leave he needs a beautiful therapist. But was Gabrielle. Sparks fly needless to say between the two but Jonathan has to overcome a few obstacles regarding Gabrielle’s past. Overall the book was very good however Gabrielle started to get on my nerves that is my very last nerve with some of the baggage she was carrying into the relationship. I highly recommend this book definitely five stars.
Who doesn't love a good firefighter's story, Jonathan and Gabrielle's story was great.
Jonathan DeMinico is part of the Superman team of Fire Station 30, we first meet him when he is badly injured in a fire suffering from smoke inhalation and broken ribs. His regular respiratory therapist was out and Gabrielle King filled in for her, Jonathan is hurting and cranky because he wants to get out of the hospital but his injuries are pretty serious so they haven't released him yet. But once he gets a look at Gabrielle well he thinks maybe being in the hospital isn't such a bad idea.
Gabrielle King is a respiratory therapist, she loves her job and her patients. She has seen them all and also heard every pickup line imaginable, so as she is helping Jonathan and he is trying to be smooth and suave while hacking up the soot in his lungs, she can't help but to think he is adorable. Definitely not a word Jonathan would used to describe himself but he will take anything just so she will be around him longer.
They start off on a good foot, then get off on the wrong foot, then back on a good foot only to get back on the wrong foot LOLL!!! It was driving me a little crazy because Jonathan knew he wanted her but Gabrielle's issues (and they were legit in my opinion) was causing the stop and start. There is also an interesting dynamic with a crazy woman, the topic of child abuse, racism and friendships tested. I really enjoyed this story and looking forward to reading the next books in this series.
It was decent. But for some reason the characters were extremely whiny and I wasn’t too fond of that. But it was a good story overall with a satisfying/cute ending.
It's the drag between smoke & fire that makes this wearisome!
3.00 stars. Jonathan DeMinico is a firefighter who suffers lung damage during a rescue and Gabrielle king is the respiratory therapist treating his ailment. They share an immediate attraction for each other and quickly move into a physical relationship which they plan to build on-but, Gabrielle has trust issues, her ex was found to be a gay man on the 'down low' and she's stuck in that mud. Jonathan wants to be a savior to the child of a woman who desires him. The story dragged and Gabrielle was irritating with the ex-gay man saga and then out of the blue, Jonathan puts his and Gabrielle budding relationship on hold so he can prove child abuse-another drag on this slow moving train. HEA ending though.
A pleasant read about some hot firemen. When Jonathan DeMicio was injured in a fire that saved a young girl's life, he never dreamed that his life would be changed forever. Gabrielle King, respiratory therapist had no idea what hit her when she met Jonathan at the hospital where she worked. She only knew she had to resist him at all cost, not wanting to be hurt.
Throw in a crazed obsessive woman, mother of the child Jonathan saved, her delusion made for an interesting story.
After reading the other two books out order, I read John's story and was not disappointed. Tory has a winning formula telling the love stories of 3 Cleveland Firefighters.
Each story is captivating and well written. I enjoyed them all and am tremendously glad that I stumbled across Ms. Brown.
Wonderful story of Jonathan and Gabrielle. Grabby worked my last nerve first she wanted to date Jon, then she didn't. Then she is back again yes lets date but take it slow. Jonathan was very patient because he knew she was the one for him. This story has a little racism, child abuse, arson, and kidnapping with attempted murder.
A love story with a good plot and some drama. I enjoyed reading about the couple overcoming hurdles, while still having a good sex life. I was glad to see that in the end everything turned out for the best.
Wow, we have a psycho person in this good read. This author has brought some subject matters to light in this read that will have you on pins and needles. I highly recommend this book to anyone.
The storyline and characters development was spot on. Gabrielle learning to put her trust in Jonathan and him not giving up on what he wanted was inspiring.
This book kept me engaged throughout. I loved the characters. Jonathan and Gabrielle meet while he was in the hospital due to being injured in a fire. He flirts but she resists. The two eventually give in to their mutual attraction and attempt a relationship. Gabrielle's past relationship, a psychotic woman, an abused child, and other drama get in the way. I'm glad things worked out in the end. Looking forward to what is next for the Supermen .
I enjoyed reading this book so much! I couldn't put my kindle down! I enjoyed the storyline and the chemistry between Gabrielle and Jonathan! Fantastic book
