I have followed this author for many years. She has written one of the most intriguing series I've ever read, starring Jeffrey Tolliver and Sara Linton and continued with the addition of Will Trent. So when I say I will read anything and everything by Ms. Spindler, I do not exaggerate. When Erica Spindler began her writing career, it was sexy romances long before she moved into Romantic Suspense.
Lancelot (Lance Alexander) is working for a charity that helps to save and re-populate Sea Turtles ... not the most romantic thing to do, but something he is passionate about. When Madison Muldoon is hired as fundraiser for the charity, he is not pleased.
She is today's woman ... confident of herself and her abilities, and the ability to laugh at herself when necessary. She's known as a people person ... she's beautiful, the daughter of an actress (of sorts). Her mother has been married 6, 7 , 8 times and Madi's take on marriage and family has been colored by her mother's life.
Lance's mother never married his father. His father was a no-show and his mother waited forever for him to come back into her life. He doesn't believe in love ... and as he's turning 40, he decides it's time to get a wife and have a family, so he's interviewing, for lack of a better word, various women, hoping to find someone compatible.
Can these two injured souls heal each other?
Her characters are flawless in their actions and reactions. They are truly opposites .. but yet not. There are minor blow ups, sarcastic remarks, humor and laughter, and caring. This book makes a great Valentine's Day read. Guaranteed to touch every woman's heart.

In Erica Spindler's Wishing Moon, this early classic contemporary romance will make you fall in love and be swept away. For Lance Alexander, he grew up with his single mother. As an older man, he didn't believe in love since his own mother had heart broken. He had never knew his father. But he's looking for more than love to find his wife. Madison "Madi" Muldoon yearns for motherhood and didn't want to get married, since her mother had been married and divorced many times before. When Lance met Madison in an interview for his non-profit fundraising charity on saving turtles, he knew they would mesh together. The sparks were right there for them. Together they get to know each other and date, while they worked in his campaign. They reveal their faults and their past mistakes as they get to know each other better. During one magical moonlit night, they made an wish and made passionate love. A few weeks later, Madi learns she's pregnant with Lance's child and worries how he would react. When she tells him, he wants the baby. But for what he proposes, she won't marry him unless it's for love. While they both hurting for each other, Lance makes a gallant move to sweep his fair lady off her feet in order to have a happily ever after that dreams were made of.

Nudný příběh, nudní hrdinové.
Na str. 28 se hrdina pohoršuje, jak jsou lidé hloupí a nechávají svítit světlo na pláži a chuděry želvy jsou pak zmatené. Hanba, hanba, hanba.
A na str. 55 se s hrdinkou ve tmě prohání po pláži, na tříkolových motorkách, drahně přes hodinu, dokud nějakou želvu nenajdou.
To mi nepřišlo logické.
A želvy byly OTRAVNÉ. Když není o čem psát, plácni tam želvu.
Překlepy. :-(

Even though this book was written a while ago, the theme is very timely. Lance is running a "charity to save Sea Turtles and puts this cause ahead of having a personal life even though he is approaching 40 a non believer in love by wants a family. Madison is hired as a fundraiser and running away from her own demons. The characters are fleshed out , believable, entertaining and completely lovable. This book is a perfect spring break or beach time read that will become a favorite of yours as it is mine. Give this wonderful book a try, I promise that you will not be disappointed.

I'm a huge fan of Erica Spindler, have read nearly all of her books. I prefer romantic suspense but I'm always up for happily ever after. She is an amazing story teller! This book grabs your heart strings! This is an early book of hers that has been re-released. If you love romance, you need to own this book! I was given an ARC for my honest review.

I am not one for romances but once I started this I did not stop until I finished.
Erica Spindler writes a story that draws you in from the start, and captures your heart.
Lance has a very methodical plan for finding a wife, ask a series of questions and if her answers best match yours, even if you don't love her --she is a match .But when Madi comes to town to help fund raise for his favorite charity, he realizes that just maybe...true love does exist.
Madi comes to town looking to get away from home, and from the feelings that come with being an aunt to a newborn baby girl. She's never settled down, has never been serious about anyone and has always told herself she will never marry. But when she meets Lance and the attraction is off the charts, she begins to wonder if he is the knight in shining armor she has been waiting on this whole time.

I absolutely loved this book! Erica Spindler brings one into a story and makes you fall in love with her characters! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. If you are in the mood for a love story this title will steal your heart.

This is a brilliant romance that makes you believe love exists!
After reading Erica's crime and romance thrillers this was a brilliant change. Erica writes romance without the cheese on toast extras you can get with romance novels.
Lance Alexander is a director for a turtle survival conservation trust when the board appoint Maddie as fundraiser. Their sexual attraction is undeniable but both know neither are right for each other. With each meeting they learn more about each other and themselves with an ending that befits the book brilliantly. I cannot wait to read more romance from Erica now!

Errrm? I've just read a book claiming to be called Wishing Moon by Erica Spindler but the Hero was called Brandon Rhodes and the Heroine Veronique Delacroix and the story bears no similarity to the blurb on Goodreads or anywhere else....What just happened?
