A most intriguing book. It was originally letters from clergy which is surprising as its spiritual message is not mainstream. I would like to have met some of the writers as they had obtained perspectives that seem to be missing from today. I will reread it on a daily basis as I am sure that I missed a lot the first time through. I found my copy in a used book store. Definitely a present from my literary angel.

Read this and then keep it to re-read it when you've forgotten all of the benefits. On occasion, it gets a bit carried away with its prose, but the content is overwhelmingly centering - and beneficial. This goes in my top twenty spiritual books.

I'm so glad I picked up this book at a used book store. I read a chapter a day before morning meditation, and each day I found something inspiring. Highly recommended.

There are just a few Christian books I read over and over again and buy multiple copies of to give to friends. This is one of those.

This is alive. Maybe only one in many thousands of readers will have the constitution that will allow its message to penetrate the bloodstream and permeate the heart. If you are one of those rare people, this book will go beyond the words and be a haven in your journey.

scattered thoughts is more like it. random bits of unsourced "wisdom" that were often cliche or hokey. by a long shot not the classic i was expecting.

I was pleasantly surprised by the inspiration I discovered in Mary Strong's writing. I was touched and lifted--that is what counts. Her connection with Spirit felt very direct and pure. It is easy to tell if a person is knowledgable of spiritual things and is simply regurgitating others' teachings. Mary is not. She gives it as she gets it. The teachings have a universal ring, not just a Christianly one. Clearly you hear the wisdom of the Master Teacher Jesus. But what path does not lead you up the road of Love.
