I think that every book that my son and I have read in the Terry Treetop Series is so cute. All of the books are extremely kid friendly, with absolutely no violence in them (unlike some other kid's books).
This particular book teaches children a little bit about being friendly, and about different animal habitats and what they eat. Terry Treetop is a sweet little boy who always goes on little adventures and makes friends every where he goes.
The book is colorful and full of adorable illustrations. It is a very easy read for beginning readers and very entertaining for young children, especially those of preschool/kindergarten age.
My son reads through these books fairly quickly since he is at a very advanced reading level. However, he still likes to read this series because he says they're a lot of fun and that he would love to climb trees and have a tree house like Terry Treetop. He also loves that Terry talks to animals and is an animal lover, like himself.

Recommended for parents, grandparents, babysitters and older siblings to read to the younger children in their lives.

As an avid book reviewer, I was sent a copy of this book for free in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed here are solely my own.

Terry has gotten lost and needs to get home. As he seeks help from various animals, he learns about where they live and what they eat. This book is a bit longer than the previous books in the series and seems geared towards a slightly older audience. I love the illustrations and the educational content. There were a few grammar problems that detract from the overall quality of the book.

I thought this was a very cute book for kids. I have a 5 year old boy who rarely sits still for a book but he was glued to this one. The book was full of great illustrations that I felt depicted the story well, and it was easy to follow. My son thoroughly enjoyed it and couldn't wait to hear what happened next as I read it to him. I highly recommend this book. It's a fun one to read with your child.

This is yet another adventure for Terry Treetop. As always, Tali Carmi has given us a fun story with amazing illustrations that are full of colorful and cute characters. Let me say Terry's parents need to keep a better eye on their boy. :)

In this adventure, you'll meet an unnamed butterfly, Robby the ribbit, Bono the beaver, Freddy the fawn, his mom who should probably stay hidden because Freddy looks a lot like Bambi and finally, Suzanne the squirrel.

Terry wonders off following a butterfly and the adventure begins.
I don't want to give away the whole story so let's just say this is why I don't eat anything away from home.

I am enjoying reading about Terry's adventures and I think you will, too.

Where Is My Home? is about a little boy called Terry Treetop and his adventure making new friends. His friends are all animals and each is friendly and offer him food as he is hungry, except for a butterfly. He finally finds his way home for lunch with his favorite food and realizes he is happy to be home. The illustrations are cute in this age appropriate story for preschool children. (I should know because I taught preschool reading readiness to other early childhood educators as part of my job.)

"Where Is My Hone?" teaches children about the importance of staying close to home/ knowing where your home is. I think its important for children to learn their addresses at a young age since children never know when they will need it. By reading this fun children book it allows you as a parent or a educator to introduce an important topic. I will using this book in my future classroom!

Children’s Delight

This is an adorable book for parents to read to small children at bedtime. Terry Treetop is a curious boy who can get into mischief without trying yet gets out of trouble the same way.

There's no place like home

This is another fun adventure with Terry! He gets to meet new friends and learns the different foods they eat. My kids enjoyed reading this before bed. They liked that all the animals wanted to give him their favorite foods.

WHERE IS MY HOME?

Terry Treetop is on a new adventure. While daydreaming in his favorite tree, he sees a beautiful butterfly, climbs down for a closer look and is soon following it. On his new quest, Terry gets lost but meets lots of friendly animals who will gladly share their food with him and tell him how to get home.

Where is My Home? is beautifully illustrated as all of Tali Carmi's children's books are. I especially enjoy reading the Terry Treetop series because of the values that the characters display. Every animal that offered their food to Terry was willing to share what they most enjoyed eating. And even though the clover, water lily and acorn he was given didn't taste good to him, Terry never told his new friends, nor showed that he didn't like what he tried to eat. Instead, he always thanked them for their food before he continued on his way home. I saw the character qualities of unselfishness and thankfulness & plan on discussing these with my granddaughter when we read this book together.

I like one other thing about the books that Tali Carmi writes; she offers a free gift to everyone who purchases her books. Written especially for you and your 3-8 year old, I'm sure your child will enjoy the spot the difference activity that is free for this book.

I had an awesome opportunity to review a few books by Tali Carmi and so far I liked them all. They are not too long and not too short, just the right length to keep a child's attention.

I have read it to my 6 year old son before bed time. He enjoyed the story about little boy called Terry Treetop, who got his nickname because he loved climbing on top of trees. The story is about Terry, who followed a beautiful butterfly while playing outside. He loved animals and always tried to make new friends. This time he followed this beautiful butterfly. He wanted to make friends with it and got so excited chasing it that eventually found himself lost. While trying to find his way home, he made a few animal friends. They were so gracious and offered Terry something to eat because poor boy was lost and hungry. Even though Terry couldn't eat various types of vegetation he was offered, he was very grateful for making new friends. At last, he met a squirrel who lived on a tree. And because Terry Treetop loved climbing on trees, he did just that, following his new friend. Luckily while on top, he saw his own tree-house and rushed home to see his mom, who he missed very much. And guess what, he's met that butterfly again, right there in his front yard....

My boy enjoyed the story and we had a little discussion about how important it is to make new friends , but always be aware of your surroundings and never go too far from your home.

This is the cutest book! My daughter is 7 so I thought this would be great to read with her and share together :) She loved it - Terry with his freckles and red hair caught her attention because mommy has freckles and red hair! And she loved the illustrations, they were gorgeous! She is developmentally delayed so this is the kind of book she is able to read with little help because the illustrations help her tell the story. And the illustrations almost jump right off the page they look like they were created in 3D!

So I started it and then let her try to figure out what was going on. She did really good, and she loved all the animals that Terry met throughout his journey. When I would tell her "Terry tried the flower that the beaver gave him to eat" - she would go ewwww LOL. It was a very interactive book for her and we thoroughly enjoyed reading it together :) The storyline was very easy to follow for kids of any age, and it is a GREAT book for readers who are just beginning. I would highly recommend this and the rest of the series - not only does it teach children they should not wander from home but it also teaches them to live in harmony with nature and appreciate what you have :)

We are definitely big fans of the terry treetop series in this house. My daughter Avery LOVES them!

This one is just as well written and easy to follow for young ones as the last few we have read by this author.

This one explores the curious nature of a child, and how something as being curious about a beautiful butterfly can lead them astray to where they find themselves lost.

In this story, you follow terry treetop on an adventure "Finding his way home." He meets a ton of interesting creatures along the way, trying new foods "Thanks to being lost at lunch time." Each and every friend he meets along the way is kind and caring,

finally he comes across a friend who tells him how to get home .... But what it really takes is his favorite all time love "CLIMBING TREES" to truly find his way home.

Once he makes it home he sees again the beautiful butterfly that had led him on his lost adventure. But decides this time, to stay home.

Really is a cute story for kids. My 7 year old thought it was adorable. Her favorite parts where when terry tried different foods and realized they were not for him.

We are big fans of terry treetop, I am pretty sure we always will be.

This review is from: Children Books: WHERE IS MY HOME ?: (Animal Habitats) (Values book) (Preschool) (Adventure & Education Kids books) (Explore the World kids book collection) ... Books for Early/Beginner Readers 3) (Kindle Edition)

Tali Carmi has the right ideas with the children series of Terry Treetop. The book: Where is my Home? was an excellent source of creativity, excellent illustrations and a wonderful story of animals and human bond.

I enjoyed this story of Terry Treetop being so amazed by this butterfly and lost his way home. On his journey to find his home he meets some lovely and welcoming animals a beaver, a deer, a squirrel and a few more. They offered him their home and food. Terry delighted them with tasting their food but didn't require a taste for them. The story continues and Terry finds his way home and the butterfly is there as well.

An enjoyable story for children of all ages. Illustrations that will surely please the reader. Great job Tali Carmi.

Terry Treetop chases a beautiful butterfly and gets himself lost. With the help of some new friends he tries desperately to get home! Will Terry Treetop be able to find his way home? Find out in this great illustrated book by Tali Carmi!

This is another great read for the little ones! The illustrations are very bright and eye catching. I feel it will teach your child not to run off without an adult, the great aspect of teamwork!
I also liked that the author offers a free gift with the purchase! A fun game for the entire family to enjoy together!
I recommend this read for your little beginners and as a great story to share together.

What a cute little story about Terry Treetopper!! Terry spies a beautiful little butterfly full of colors. He wants to get to know the butterfly so he follows the pretty creature through the woods. Terry ventures a bit to far and needs to get back, but Terry isn't sure where home went. Along the path back home Terry makes little animal friends who help him by giving him food they would eat (although he isn't fond of it) and lead him in the right direction. Terry finally finds his way after being a 'Treetop climber' and spying his own tree house. Terry hurries home only to find his mom has made his favorite food-apple pie! Terry is very excited and declares a statement about how great it is to make new friends, but home is best! And he even spies his little butterfly friend-on a flower, at his home again!

Fun little read about adventures, friendship, slight introduction to the dangers of wandering off-but very much on a child's level. We enjoyed it!!

I read this book to my daughter Jasmine. She has come to love the Terry Treetop series a lot.

In this book Where is my home? Terry is curious almost too curious, because he ends up getting lost. He cant find his home, and he meets a lot of new animals friends in his search to find his home. Jassy and I learned about the animals. Where they live and what they eat.

At the end of the book there is a very good lesson that Terry learned, He learns from his mistakes and recognizes it. As a mother I love that Tali slips these good morals in to her books.

There was also a fun activity print off that came with this book. Jasmine thought that was fun.

If your looking for a fun bedtime story, or a story to read with your children that teaches about animal habitats, and also teaching good morals this is the book :) We really enjoyed it and are sure you will too.

This happens to be the third book in the series and the second MarksvilleandMe has read. The illustrations were colorful and friendly, everything you look for in a book for young children. This time we find Terry Treetop on vacation, when a colorful butterfly leads him far from home. Terry is lost, hungry and missing his Mom, so he asks some animals to help, embarking on an adventure to find his way home.

My daughter Dorothy is between 1st and 2nd grade. She felt very sad when Terry Treetop was lost and then happy at the end. Her favorite part was when Terry Treetop said "It's very nice making new friends and trying new things, but there's no place like home!". Can you guess why she liked that part best?

Illustrated very colorful children's book. A link to click on to get another free book.
It's summer and Terry loves to sit in his treehouse and daydream about the things he do this summer. He notices a butterfly.
He kept following the butterfly til he got tired then realized he was lost. He asked other animals to help him find his home.
He finds many other animals that share their home and food with him on his journey to find his home.
Other books by the author are highlighted at the end.

In the latest in the author's "Terry Treetop Series," young Terry wasn't paying enough attention to how far afield he went chasing a butterfly, and he became lost. Tired and hungry, he wanders around and makes friends with some of the denizens of the forest and meadows. They would gladly feed him, but they don't have any people food. Terry despairs of finding his way home, and by then, he's missing his mom and her wonderful meals.

It all works out for the best, and Terry learns to appreciate the home and family he has. It's a fun book for youngsters, with a simple vocabulary and colorful illustrations, with a length that's just right for a bedtime story.

This book is the total package. It has colorful and inviting illustrations, leads children (and adults) through an entertaining story, and teaches children something new and important about a few creatures we share the planet with. This book is the third in the Treetop Series and focuses on animal habitats.

The main character is a young boy named Terry who finds himself lost in the woods. He comes across different animals (a rabbit, deer, beaver, and others) who take him to their home and introduce him to their family and their native food.

I'm happy to add this book to my five-year-old's growing library!

Finally, a book that is worth reading. I have seen so many books that just do not look like their authors put much effort into. They are so bad that they might even deter a potential buyer and make people less confident in buying books from lesser known authors. This book's story is great. The message is clear. The writing is good and without errors (which are very common in many other books). The illustrations are beautiful. I enjoyed reading it and now, since it passed my quality control test, I will read it to my kid :) I am sure they will love the pictures as well. Great job!

This book is very cute! My son is small so keeping his attention when trying to read is a task in itself. The pages were full of color and pictures, as well as the story not being too long. I enjoyed reading this to my little one and I am pretty sure he liked it as well. It is hard to find children's books that can grab a very small child's attention but this one really did! I would recommend this book to anyone with smaller children maybe birth - 5 yrs old. though older ones may enjoy it just as much but I can't say until then. LOL Hopefully you enjoy this book as well.

My son was very attentive while listening to me read about Terry's journey through the woods, and back home. He also repeated some of the words I read, which let me know he really enjoyed the book.

This was my first purchase of a Kindle ebook for children, and I was surprised to see there were illustrations throughout the book other than the cover photo. The illustrations gave my baby and I the opportunity to have some education time, by allowing my one year old to identify every character in the book, along with the surroundings.

Where Is My Home? --- a great young children's book

I liked reading this book, and I thought about when I started reading back in the late 60's. It is a great children's book for those learning to read and for those who are still being read to by their parents or others. Once Terry started to follow a butterfly, he became lost. He continued to walk and met others while he walked. He still was lost, but they gave him food and tried to help him. He finally was homeward bound after he climbed up to the squirrel's home, where he was able to see his home.

Where’s my mother?

Another book I have to read over and over to my 2 year old. She likes Terry, and when reading my daughter gives advice for Terry not to walk off and that he should stay close to his mom and dad.
I like the stories by Tali Carmi because it keeps my child entertained. It’s a simple kind hearted book with a lovable character. It’s our 2nd book in the series of Terry TreeTop and my daughter can’t wait for another. I was given this book for free as part of a promotion so I may provide an honest review
