I received a free e-copy of this book from LibraryThing in exchange for an honest review.

“Dinosaurs: Facts About Dinosaurs” by Barry J. McDonald is fact-filled, well-illustrated book about dinosaurs, just as the title indicates. An interesting feature of this book is the manner in which the information is provided in little snippets, alongside a small photograph of an appropriate nature. On my Kindle, the pictures were a bit too small to see any detail, but on a printed page they should be quite large enough to make out every detail. The numerous factoids were informative, even for an adult.

The format of “Dinosaurs: Facts About Dinosaurs” is ideal for entertaining young children. A lot of time can be spent on each page, pointing out different details to the child(ren). While it is not expected that every child who sees this book will want to become a paleontologist as an adult, the book will open and enchant their minds, perhaps helping to develop their senses of imagination and wonder. Barry J. McDonald has written a number of children’s books, and knows how to reach the little ones. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to interest their child(ren) in the Sciences, or for kids who just like dinosaurs.
