Sometimes greatness comes from a very unexpected place... Inside yourself.

Tobin Peterson is the hottest new singing sensation in the U.S. He's talented, bright, and Infected in a world where that's the worst thing anyone could possibly be. Worse than that, his appearance marks him as different, for everyone to see instantly.

It doesn't matter that he's a superhero, on top of the radio charts, or a government agent. Not to the bigots. Or to the enemies of the Infected Protection Bureau.

No, they just want him to go away.

Maybe.

It's so hard for anyone to tell what they want, that any step he takes to protect himself and his new family might be exactly what an evil mastermind wants him to do. In the end there might not be any way for him to do the correct thing at all.

The only thing he knows for sure is that, in America, it ain't easy being green.

Black or brown either.

P.S. Power

P.S. Power works in fiction, mainly focusing on Fantasy, Science Fiction and Horror genres, with brief forays into other things just to keep life interesting. He averages 1 to 2 books monthly and has several series going. He lives in an isolated cabin in the middle of nowhere, as a recluse, yet still manages to find time to talk to people online, in a positive and delightful manner. Not one of those creepy hermit types though, you understand. It's more of an isolated farm style thing. Or ranch really. He's also interested in three dimensional photography, and long moonlit walks on the beach, sometimes with vampires. When he can find time he also does writing and voice work for scripted online programs. Anyway, feel free to drop him a line.

Hello Everyone!

In chatting with Dale over the past few weeks, it was decided that he was interested in blogging to you, his readers. The blog he had within the main site was not going to be a viable solution and there were thoughts of just creating a Forum where only he could post and everyone else could reply. This MOD is a nice meeting of the two for what will hopefully be a highly successful blog!

Hoping this first (and only) post by me will kick off a nice method of interaction with Dale's readers!

p.s. - Also going to try and get the feed that comes with this to feed into Amazon and Goodreads. Good luck to one and all!!

While I didn't dislike this book as a whole, I was seriously annoyed by the end. It's like we never see any progress, positive stuff amounts to seemingly nothing, and the side of the bigots is never really looked into. No, they are just bigots. Their reasons, their fear - well they get mentioned. That's it. Well. Great, I guess? What's the point for doing anything then? Just let the war begin, apparently everything is for nothing anyway! (Although, to be utterly honest, I've got suspicions about the whole Braid thing and if what I suspect is true, then everything makes a bit more sense. )

I feel like this book, as a whole, could have been skipped. While I liked reading it, it seemingly didn't add to the overall plot of the series and could have been summed up with a side story. That's a pity, because I like Tobin. Sort of. I always feel like I like characters I adored before less after I actually read about them in their POV. Characters I didn't really like I tend to appreciate more afterwards. Well, on towards the next book, I'm planning to finish this series.

Another wonderful chapter to the series, the ending although subdued and mostly discouraging really drives home the general feeling of the world set in this book, thing have been moved in a way that impact how the infected are perceived by the nation, and shows how scary Braid truly is, putting in motion a decades before the IPB was even aware they were confronting her in a match to determine the survival of a great number of people. The twist with Tobin and Chris is truly surprising and well executed, and the way the author plays their first mode into the awkwardness of the situation makes it feel more complete with them. Great addition to the series.

Did not really enjoy the book, hopefully the next continues the series better than this. I feel this book really did not contribute much to the series
It really made me like Tobin/Goblin less as a character - that said I am warming to Proxy more every book
