Alison had spent her entire life thinking the world revolved around her. Her antics finally forced her parents to send her to live with her sister and brother-in-law in Minnesota. At first, she can’t wait to go home to New York, but after she meets Frank, she decides Minnesota may be a good place to live after all. The problem is no one in Minnesota is willing to put up with her bad behavior. Can she make the changes she needs to make to be a good person? Or will she end up out in the cold for the rest of her life?
Once a brat in the truest definition of the word, this is the story of Maggie's baby sister, Allison's maturity. But thankfully it's also a continuation of Maggie and Daniel's story!
The characters that Katie Crabapple have created in this series are amazing. They are flawed and real in a way that a lot of other authors cannot capture. Reading about a character in the old west who suffers from a germ phobia or crippling social anxiety was a revelation to me as it's difficult to even find contemporary romance books that address those issues.
