Taking Every Thought Captive

Rate this book
This book is for men who have ever struggled with unwanted thoughts or emotions. Writing from his own experience Dr. Laaser will guide the reader through a variety of strategies for taking these thoughts captive. Dr. Laaser also teaches about what true obedience to Christ really means. Jesus teaching on the two greatest commandments form the foundation of this. The first commandment is to love God with all heart, mind, and strength and the second, Jesus says the second commandment is like it, “Love others as you love yourself. What does the word “as” really mean? Readers will learn that it is only is loving ourselves that we will be able to love others. Dr. Laaser will also ask the reader frequent questions so that they will be more able to incorporate the material into their own lives. This book is the natural sequel to his earlier book in this series on the The 7 Principles of Highly Accountable Men. Readers may want to practice accountability by asking others to hold them accountable to employ some of the strategies that he teaches.

A helpful guide for healthier thinking. Rather than dismissing all sinful thoughts, Laaser invites Christians to dwell with their thoughts, to interrogate their motives, and to submit them to the power of Christ.
