Hannah Hickok has a lot on her mind.
She’s engaged, with a wedding around the corner.
She and her husband-to-be Cooper Wyatt are building a house near the cosplay western town she inherited from her late grandmother.
And she’s gearing up for a fight with the witch who wants to steal her magic and kill her.
All of that falls by the wayside when Hannah realizes that people are starting to develop magical crushes…and the outcome is ugly when the fighting begins.
First up is local Sheriff James Boone’s teenage daughter. She’s overwhelmed by a spell when her latest crush’s attention is on the line.
Then the women at the bakery, all sisters, start fighting over the same man.
Then Cooper decides to come to blows for Hannah’s honor and it almost results in someone’s death.
Hannah is understandably confused. The only thing she knows without question is that there’s witchy magic afoot. Where is it coming from, though?
Hannah’s life is leading toward a specific fight. This fight, however, needs to be won before she can look to the future. Unfortunately for Hannah, the odds of winning are long.
There’s no evading the fight. So, here it comes.

A few funny moments mixed with the usual magical problems.
Hannah has absorbed the nexus magic but that has not stopped magical beings coming to Casper Creek to try and claim.the magic for themselves, meanwhile Hannah has been struggling with the decision of whether or not to keep the nexus magic herself, now she has made a decision. But......before she can act on it strange things start happening again. Lindsey (Sheriff Boone's daughter) visits the town with her school on an excursion while in town Lindsey starts right with another girl over a boy, and who he prefers. When Hannah arrives she feels something is off and.on checking finds some sort of compulsion has been placed on Lindsey. When it's removed Lindsey doesn't have my memories of what happened. Hannah nd her friends read that this is not over, though they don't know what is going on or who is behind it and they are right ...................... In fact things are just getting started. Then a strange woman turns up claiming to be a winner character for hire, Hannah and her friends don't know why to think but they can't help but be suspicious.......................

Recycled runes and teenage troubles
A school trip to Casper Creek brings anguish for Lindsey as she verbally fights with one of her classmates over a boy. Hannah is sure something is off about the situation and digs a little into Lindsey's mind, discovering a thread woven into it. Fortunately, it's easily fixed and destroys itself once removed, but it leaves an embarrassed and upset Lindsey refusing to go to school.
A "witch for hire" turns up at Casper Creek, Marlee, offering her services to Hannah. With all that's going on, Hannah doesn't feel inclined to discuss the nexus or anything else about herself and Casper Creek with the strange woman. She dismisses her offer... but is it a mistake?
An uneasy feeling hangs over Hannah, and her fears are soon proved right as more people become affected. When runes appear, she realises it's a bigger problem than she'd anticipated, and the team needs to work together to resolve it once and for all.

entertaining paranormal Cozy mystery series
This is an entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series. A fun cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. Hannah Hickok is a witch who owns a small cosplay town on top of a mountain in Kentucky. She inherited it from her grandmother who also was a witch. The top of the mountain is a magical Nexxus and tracks all kinds of magical beings And forces. Hannah and her little group of friends and fellow witches protect the area from many things including demons evil witches and other evil supernatural. Once again there is a threat and someone is trying to cause problems and acquire the magic from the Nexus. Read on and see how Hannah and Cooper and the rest of the people at Castro Creek go up against another magical force and what happens. Always entertaining and always a fun read.

Another Witch Wants the Nexus
Hannah has a mystery to solve, it seems someone is somehow putting a spell on people to make them jealous so they end up fighting with each other no matter how close of friends or family they are. If someone doesn’t get a hold on this situation soon someone could get seriously hurt and nobody want that to happen. So it seems it’s up to Hannah, and the gang to do something about it before things can get any worse, my advice to you would be to get this book for yourself and find out what happens and what solutions can be found to help everyone out.

Good read
I never give away anything in my reviews so all I will say is it's a good read and if you liked the other books in this series your going to like this one too.
Lily Harper Hart has done it again. Giving her readers a story line that keeps your attention and makes you want to keep reading, by bringing the characters to life and making them part of you circle of friends. Adding in a couple others here and there to make thing interesting and making you want to come back for more.

Loved it
This mystery started immediately. It was good. I enjoyed how Hannah & Cooper worked together to solve it. I am also enjoying Hannah and how she is with her nexus powers. Sprinkle in a bad guy and a dash of Astra and she you have a quick page turning read. Looking forward to the next book.

love the series
I can’t say enough about how great the series is! I would love to be able to go to Casper creek and meet these characters. This author does such a great job of fleshing out the characters and making them believable. The secondary characters are fun to read about also.

Good series
I like the characters. Sadly I even like white haired astra (not sure that's spelled right) She is a good evil character.
Enjoyed this story a lot, I remember my dad telling me not to trust any of the boys that came over, and mom said the same thing. Nice to see some ideas carry on.

Interesting story
I enjoyed this book more than some of the previous books. Hannah seemed more confident with her magic and the story kept me interested. It also did a good job of setting things up for the final book. Looking forward to it.

Another good story in the series. I love how the author has the main character come to decision that had been a concern. She has grown so much in her magic.

Good read
Book 14 is building to a huge climax. This book has humor, no murders, but plenty of mystery, danger for all around, loads of magic, and a major decision for Hannah. And she goes shopping for a wedding dress. Highly entertaining.

Good story. Bad continuity.,,
I have enjoyed this series but the Story does not flow well from one book to the next and sometimes details even change from chapter to chapter. They need better editing to capture flaws in continuity.

I don’t disagree, is used a lot in this series. This book it’s characters and storyline are great but I really like some of the other series by this author better
