A gypsy fortune teller convinces architect Andy Kane his dreams are of a past life, that of the man who was murdered and buried in his family’s basement in 1918. He must resolve the issues of the past life or his life will end the same way, but how can he do that from this life?
After he rescues Julianne Tandry from an abusive man in a bar, Andy’s mind isn’t just on his dreams, but he can’t move forward with a relationship until he figures out what issues need to be resolved. Julie, a real estate agent, helps Andy find a farm to buy, where things get really strange. But she loves Andy, and despite his past life visions, she’s not willing to give him up.
I'm a grumpy old lady who lives with an even grumpier old man in a small town in Washington state. I have three grown children, all smarter and more successful than their mother, and one adorable grandson. My favorite kid!
I write mostly romantic suspense, women's fiction, and light paranormal romance novels. Although my plots get kind of involved and sometimes twisted at the end, I don't plot my books out before I start writing. I create characters, throw them into a situation, and let them lead the way. I'd like to think my characters are unique, yet familiar, people you'd like to get to know. People you can root for. People you'll remember after you finish reading the book.
I hope you enjoy reading my books. Please feel free to leave a comment or review.
In case you were upset like me that book two didn't tell us if Billy and Kayla had the kids naturally or adopted you get the answer in this book. Whew. My favorite part of these books is still getting to read about Donovan and Hannah. Andy is trying to understand what he's supposed to do and how he's supposed to do so he doesn't end up dead like the architect Andrew. Julie just wants Andy to love her. Julie has a psycho stalker too.
The Kane family has grown up into another generation. I enjoy how these stories weave in and out of the family from generation to generation. From Donovan to his son Billy and now to Andy, the ghosts in the families guide them and teach them. These aren't your normal scary ghost stories. It almost feels like the ghosts are those people who you might say impacted their lives because of their examples or experiences. These stories are the ghosts that get passed down from one generation to the next that inspire, challenge, intrigue or define who they might become or what path they need to follow to continue the Kane history. Tragedy and pain are not limited to any generation and, sadly, like history, it repeats itself because human nature doesn't change.
The Kane family is not a bunch of perfect individuals by any stretch of the imagination. They have their flaws but family is their greatest strength and reading those moments when they fall into their "family mode" feels good.
I'm getting used to these ghost stories. I've even decided Sue Fineman can't scare me. I'm not yet sure if it's because I'm a regular tough guy or Sue Fineman isn't a very scary person at heart. The Ghost at the Farm by Sue Fineman is a lovely romance with the right balance of adventure to keep the pages clicking over late into the night. Okay so there was the odd foray into those little supernatural corners but no more then the shadows outside a tough guys window at night. --- I loved this book. I'm getting to know the Kane family well. I like them. Five Stars.
Book #3 in the Kane Family Ghost series. it was okay, but not as good as the first two. Not quite sure why - maybe just not as much of a mystery to solve or it was more about the romance than the ghost story.
I'll give #4 a shot to see if it grabs me as much as the first two.
