Do you seek creativity? Do you crave answers? Is this the right relationship? Is this the best job? Nothing is certain, everything changes, and the only way to find answers is to stop analyzing things and do! The cut-to-the-chase, jargon-free perfect sequel to Be, A. C. Ping's Do is packed full with big ideas, straight-talking wit and wisdom, and illuminating advice. But whereas Be is about contemplation, Do encourages action. It is another small book with a big, bold agenda that invites us to ask—and answer. Read it and find the courage and commitment to stop searching for the meaning of life—and start living it.
A.C. Ping has traveled the World and lived in Australia, the UK, USA and Africa. He is the author of 8 books including the trilogy of personal development books BE, DO and FAITH that have been published internationally and translated into 11 different languages.
Now available in E book form is the second 'experiential' trilogy of books 'A Place Where You May Find Peace', 'Release Your Fear' and 'The Self Mastery Toolbox'.
"I've read all three of A. C. Ping's books in this "series": BE, DO, and FAITH. Now, I am going to re-read them all and try to put what I've learned into daily practice. Not that Ping is trying to give you 5 easy steps to enlightenment or anything like that... rather, he provides clarity and insight on many of the things that hold you back and drag you down, and points the way toward a healing, all-encompassing kind of faith--not limited to a particular religion or religion in particular.
What makes Ping's voice so unique: He walks a tightrope above New-Age, Pseudo-Science, and Religion... but walks the tightrope exceedingly well. He never falls into the safety net of what has already been said a million times in a million self-help books. His voice is fresh without being trendy or commercial. He spices things up with the occasional curse word or two.
He's down-to-earth, witty, and doesn't try to be your guru. He's more like a great friend who offers wonderful perspective and insight without coming across as a flawless, know-it-all. So rare!! I recommend these books highly! Start with BE, follow up with DO, and then feel the refreshing healing in FAITH. You won't regret it!" Review on Amazon.com

This is a follow-up to A.C. Ping’s book called “BE”. “BE” was about finding happiness. “DO” is about motivation and determining what you really want and how you can improve. It’s a self-help book. I like to read these self-help books from time to time. I get a bit out of them and sometimes I think “ho-hum”, I know this. I do like A.C. Ping’s philosophy. He has a great way of seeing things, therefore, I do recommend you ALL to read “BE” and “DO”.
In “DO”, here are the lines that captured me while reading:
You don’t have to be old to be wise.
From THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, film: Luke Skywalker: “I’ll try.” Yoda: “No, try NOT! Do or do not! There is no try.”
Nothing is certain, everything changes, and the only way to find answers is to DO. “Doing” means taking risks, dipping our toes in the water of life, making waves, sometimes getting it right, sometimes wrong, upsetting people, challenging ourselves, challenging others...
The Authentic Being lives their life within their Present and their Future possibilities.
“True genius is saying what is in your heart, because it is in everyone’s heart.” --Ralph Waldo Emerson, SELF RELIANCE
Why don’t we act on the advice from that little voice inside our heads who butts into our lives from time to time? We don’t acknowledge how we feel.
We are what we think. All that we are arises from our thoughts. Within our thoughts we make our world. --BUDDHA
When you meditate...set your intention of what you want and who you want to be.
Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage. --Anais Nin
Mentally prepare for a task.
The great epochs of our life are the occasions when we gain the courage to rebaptize our evil qualities as our best qualities. --Nietzsche
The battle of the Spiritual Warrior is of the self-vs. the self. There is a dark side in all of us. Acknowledge your dark side and embrace it as part of who you are. If you can do this, you can begin the battle of the Spiritual Warrior.
Make space for something new.
When you play MONOPOLY do you have a strategy? Most people do. Either buy nothing and accumulate cash or buy everything and hope that enough people land on your real estate and pay you rent before you run out of cash. Some people have a variation where they only buy sets of real estate or only the utilities. The point is, if you have a strategy, you have clarity of intent. You know which little steps you need to take along the way. Without a strategy you just flounder from place to place, maybe buying, maybe not.
To achieve great things takes time and it’s easy to give up along the way. The harder thing is to patiently and persistently strive to achieve what you want.
Meditation will help you remain calm.
If you don’t know what you want, then you are drawn from one thing to another. Instead of providing you with what you need, these things just provide distraction.
To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe. --Anatole France
The pillars of successful action. Focus your attention, develop belief around it, devise a strategy, then patiently and persistently implement the strategy.
Balance in all parts of life—mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual.
Make some time to smell the roses.
Native Americans say that in the West we get things wrong. They try to show love and affection by giving physical things as gifts. Give with the emotions.
Compassion is much nicer than judgment. Stop reacting.
In order to be happy you need to find places that make you feel good and avoid places that make you feel bad.
Some people leave you feeling drained. They’re the ones who come to you and only want to talk about themselves and their dramas. They are energy vultures who literally suck the life out of you.
It is not the strongest of the species that survives nor the most intelligent; it is the one that is most adaptable to change. --Charles Darwin
There can be no JOY without GRATITUDE.
Look for the positives in every situation then life can take on a whole new meaning. Be grateful for everything you have.
Do you turn your back on the people in the world who are struggling with their own issues? Engage because their freedom IS your freedom...
We are interdependent on one another.
By saying no to inauthentic relationships, you make room for authentic ones, you will have more energy.
We are only alone in the world if we believe that we are.
To leave the world a bit better Whether by a healthy child, a garden patch Or a redeemed social condition To know even one life has breathed easier Because you lived, This is this is to have succeeded. --Ralph Waldo Emerson
Wonderful little book - about setting goals and going for them! Very philosophical. Define what you'd like to DO and allow yourself permission to do it!
