Amelia Ryan fled Earth’s fanatically religious government to live quietly among the aliens of Plasius. Her life of peace shatters when a three-man clan from the planet Kalquor kidnaps her and holds her prisoner.
With their people poised on the verge of extinction, the Kalquorians are determined to have Amelia for their mate. Amelia is equally determined to escape. But when her body thrills to the ruthless domination of her captors, she finds herself surrendering to desires she never imagined possible.
Re-edited and expanded edition.
Mild BDSM including captive/forced seduction, anal play/intercourse, bondage, Dom/sub play, homoerotic situations (m/m), and multiple sexual partners (m/f/m/m).
Born in a small town on the coast of North Carolina to strict parents, Tracy St. John started out as a quiet, shy child. She was typical for her small town: studying hard for good grades, fishing with her dad on Saturdays and attending church on Sundays.
When adolescence kicked in, so did full-on rebellion. School, family and church fell by the wayside as Tracy partied too hard with the wrong people. Somehow surviving her wild-child phase, she pursued several careers before finally settling on video production and writing.
A string of failed relationships prompted her to give up on love…which of course meant fate immediately tossed Mr. Right her way. After only 4 months of dating, she eloped with the love of her life. They just celebrated 14 years of wedded bliss.
Prior to penning her first erotic novel ‘Alien Embrace’, Tracy wrote commercials, television and radio promos, and training films for various government entities.
Tracy St. John now lives in coastal Georgia with her husband and son. She still enjoys fishing, and you’ll often find her haunting train museums with her locomotive-loving son. Besides writing, she also works in video production both in front of and behind the camera. She’s usually cast as the gun-toting bad gal, getting handcuffed in the end. She has no complaints.
Pure Porn. 10 Sex Scenes Later, I was in a Sex Coma!!
The Kalquor Clans are made up of three men, in search of one mate. These aliens have two cocks. A smaller one behind the large main penis, used for anal stimulation. Oh and these men are muscular and Sexy as Sin!!
They love casual sex, but when it comes to finding a mate, it doesn't matter if you are a "Willing Mate" or not. They will just bite you and inject you with their, "I'm horny and I can't say no" venom, and you will be begging for it!!
But when the venom wears off, and you come to your senses and start talking about leaving, the Clan will just continue to bite and fuck you until you are in a sex coma, half unconscious, and too tired to fight back or think straight.
My Virtual Vagina Hurts from all the Sex in this book. Oh and there was violent sex too. So violent that the doctor/healer of the group had to perform surgery and heal the heroine after he rampaged on her ass with his two cocks to the point she was bruised and bleeding. The healing is instant, due to their alien technology, so his other clan members immediate began to have sex with the heroine again. Yikes!! She was even all, What the Hell??!!!
And our heroine was stubborn, so she got punished with non stop sex, for what felt like FOREVER!!
AND too much of a good thing, Double cocks, Three hot men, and Multiple Orgasms gets boring when there is no plot!!!
I can only recommend this book to readers that are in the mood for nonstop kinky, rapey type sex. Yeah, yeah, the heroine does love the forced seduction and does fall in love with the Aliens. But this book has a rapey feel to it. There is a lot of "forced seduction". But everyone gets a HEA in the end.
I made it to 62% before wanting to chunk my iPad across the room. I am no prude & I enjoy my erotica but this just flat out offended me.
-= Major Spoilers ahead =-
Amelia is an 'Earther' artist being celebrated as a wonderful painter on planet Iforget.
Three Kalquorians see her at a party & it's instant lust. Oh, & the Kalquorians are dying out as a species because their women aren't very fertile and the birth rate for females is low. (See where this is going? Or COULD have gone?!?)
These three guys (they function as a clan unit looking for a single mate to share between all three of them.... Oh and they have two dicks)
Amelia is from Earth, and therefore an indoctrinated Prude. She was also repeatedly raped when young by a neighbor then later by a boss/policeman, so she has some issues there.
First they get Amelia drunk at her art show & gang bang her to see if she can 'take' their double-dong style equipment.
Later on they offer to help alleviate the pain in her hands (some kind of arthritis from an accident) by telling her she needs to come to their place for the pain treatment. She gets the pain treatment, but it's basically a ruse to drug her out cold & harvest her eggs to see if her human eggs can be fertilized by Kalquorian sperm. Yes, of course they can - but while she is knocked unconscious having her eggs stolen without consent, she gets fondled.
The Kalquorians pass along the amazing news to their Ambassador on planet Iforget that human females can bear young to their species. Soon, human females all over the galaxy are being kidnapped or are mysteriously disappearing.
Amelia has been delivered back to her home and is so happy to not have pain in her hands so she can paint again easily. She learns of all the human female kidnappings & begins to suspect she was used in this discovery. She tries to run, they catch her, kidnap her & begin a fuck-a-thon. They all keep TELLING her how she belongs with them, her life will be better, she will be treated as a treasure etc. But she is never at any point asked what she wants, wooed or given any choice.
They keep drugging her with their venom so she will have no inhibitions & be into their non-stop double-dick train. Amelia has a moment of clarity realizing she has no free will anymore & likens herself to a bird in gilded cage. She tries to hunger strike. She feels guilty nearly 2000 earth women were kidnapped possibly because of her.
Her hunger strike causes these jerks to begin more S&M style stuff, sleep deprivation from vibrator on a harness, chained to the wall, non stop humping, punishment table O'Sex etc. When that doesn't work, they start spanking her. Pain without sex is the idea. She finally gives in & they of course hand feed her like a pet & all fuck her some more.
When she began mentally talking about being in love with them was when I tapped out in disgust. Thanks, but no thanks.
Ok! Picture this! In the future the Earth's government is completely against sexuality. People aren't allowed to have sex outside marriage, and they can only have it in order to procreate. The penalties are severe, such as sterilization without anesthesia etc.
Now, on another far away planet, there's a race on the brick of extinction. They searched the whole universe for a compatible species and of course our women are the right match.
But there's a catch. These oversexualized aliens live in clans of three males and one female. So they get the Earther and force her to have sex (in all manners possible) until she agrees to join their clan. (They bite her - yes, they are some kind of vampire alien race - and keep her drugged and horny.)
But don't worry about it. It's the woman's choice to join!
Er, um, Wow. Ok, I'm really ambivalent about this book. I want to dislike it, more than like it. A great deal of it was cringe-worthy-- but then I couldn't put it down! I guess it was like picking at scabs. *sigh*
There were things covered in this book that I haven't read from other authors. As a survivor of rape, anything that smacks of graphic depiction of that act usually makes me run in the other direction. While I know many women have rape fantasies, that has never appealed to me, even before I was raped. So what would make me keep reading a book where there's a flashback of a 14 year old girl's rape? The writing was engrossing. And while the writing made me flahsback onto my own tragedy, the telling in this story didn't traumatize me (and that's really odd, because sometimes even tenuously related things will cause me to have mild PTSD).
Perhaps another thing that kept me reading was that I totally got Amelia's POV-- up to a point. I understand the kind of religious pressure she was under, and I could appreciate her rebellious turn. But her venture in the masochistic side of acceptance I just didn't get on a personal level, though I am acquainted enough with the psychological aspects of that side of "romance" to understand it intellectually. This is my shortcoming-- and I'm sure it isn't a deterrent for ardent fans of S&M.
I did not think there was any way that the three Alpha Aliens would grow on me, especially since the relationship started on such a manipulative level (even if that manipulation was truly what Amelia wanted and/or needed). But by gum, those Kalquorians won me over, by the end.
That I've given this book only three stars is a reflection on my (dis)comfort level, rather than the merits of the book. It is reasonably well-written, was fast paced and has scorching-hot erotic scenes. Maybe when I get over myself a great deal more I'll be able to reread this and upgrade the rating at least another star.
I THINK THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH ME @-@<--Crazy eyes
Right to start of with I don't think I've ever read a book with so much sex in it and I mean it was a lot............a real biiiigggggg lot!!!!
You might be thinking to yourself 'Why is she saying there is something wrong with her?' my answer to that question follows this only response... It turned me on!!!I know that's not a bad thing but this book was full of weird Alien double dicked fierce rough screaming brilliant hot sexy dirty sex!!!! So what is wrong with me huh?? I mean yeah everybody reads a book that gets the juices flowing so to speak but this was a weird book because this chick Amelia is from earth and their rules are stupid and really fucking horrifying because if you get raped or some man sexually attack's you then you are to blame, It means you must of done something for the man to do it and you both get punished and not in the good way ;)
But back to it... there are a clan of Alien's and their race is dying out and they need earth women to bare their children because the alien females can only bare males, so that's where Amelia comes into it and my holy shit god was their meeting fucking epic... I WILL NEVER IN MY LIFE FORGET THEIR FIRST SEXUAL ENCOUNTER!!!I had to stop look at myself....down there....and think 'fuck me Amelia is good'!!! it was beyond my expectations and with these kinda reads nothing shocks me, just think 3 men with two cocks a piece that makes 6 big cocks everywhere all over your little body well for me chubby lol but any ways 6 cocks everywhere in every hole no where to go but to just except them all... dammmmnnnn this shit was fucking hot HOT HOOOTTTT!!! I think I need to do something but I dunno what it is but I can't seem to get over this book....
These men kidnapped her and made her want and love them with their sexy skills in the bedroom with countless orgasms and the perfect balance of pain to spice it up and I have to admit that even though she told them no in the beginning and if a chick says no in my eyes that means STOP MOTHERFUCKER!!! They treated her with so much love and passion that I felt like I wanted to be in their shoes to protect her and breed her and make her mine to love and protect and never let her go though what happened to her on earth and thank fuck it really ain't like that here because I would of been locked up for much worse lol
If you like sexy arse big bulky muscle alien men with two cocks then this is right up your alley and I mean right up your (do I dare say) back alley lol sorry that was a dry joke but this book has rape in it and hot sex with the added bonus of a great story line so you have been warned!!!
Ok, let me break this whole thing down for you all.
I'm a sick, twisted, out of her mind, bat-s**t crazy, female!
Why?
Because 90% of this book turned me on!
Because I want to be the woman in the book with these brutally Alpha Males!
Now, you might be asking, "Why did you only give it a three?"
Because, I believe I have an older poorly edited version of this book. I also think the author released and extended version and I'm not sure what could be extended it was pretty darn long already. As it was, we are put through the paces of scene after scene AFTER scene of multiple partner naughty sex. Alright, as I said before I'm obviously twisted. It was hot in a totally rapey kind of way. See, these Alien's didn't really act all that, well nice, to the heroine. Amelia is a former victim of sexual assault, and these dudes are like, Whateves we just gonna perpetuate the cycle. However, Amelia is written in a way where she has a type of capture fantasy kink.
So, I am in a really big state of conflict. Because however brutal the aliens are, they counteract that with loving, care, support, and compassion once they realize what happened to her. I feel like the men are made out of roofies. They bite, girl goes loopy and needy for them.
As a whole it is sort of silly. Then again there were parts of me that it was feeling. The sick disturbed part. Because I am. I have a capture fantasy, but its just that, fantasy. I suspended belief to enjoy the whole of this book, and the fact that they are Alien men sort of made the whole thing sexy.
There is a whole other twisted side plot where apparently conservative republicans have taken over earth and you can't like even flutter your lashes without being giving a hystorectomy for being too sexy. If you are sexually assaulted then you 'must have done something'. It is so backwards and really scary and I have to say, I think human women, are totally better off with the alien men. lol
Will I read more of these?
Yes.
But I need a break, halfway through this I had to come up for air lol
There was a lot of dub-con and all out rape. I don't understand why the rape she experienced as a child was written in a way as to be titillating (it was written in a similar as the sex she had with the clan). I didn't get off on it, but it seems like the writer wanted you to? I'm not sure. It was written in an erotica way, so...? Same with the other darker flashback with her a-hole employer.
There was also, IMO rape when she was with the clan. There was a time when she said no, very clearly and she was still penetrated. That's rape. It doesn't matter if her body was responding or not. If she said no or stop (which she did) and they continued, it's rape. That didn't endear me to the Clan either. I know they're from a different culture and are aliens, but still. I couldn't fully get past that. It didn't help that they drugged her and did the test with her eggs. That was disturbing as well, especially when he was touching her sexually when she was passed out.
I didn't like the idea the author put out there (perhaps unintentionally?) that because her body responded, she wanted it and it wasn't rape. It doesn't matter if your body responds or even if you have an orgasm, if someone says no/stop/etc and they don't, it's rape. End of story.
Also there was too much sex. Like pages and pages of sex, back to back. Where she'd have one than the other. Wouldn't she get sore? I get it's erotica, but damn, there was a good chunk of the book where there was no story progress other than repeated sex. It got a bit old.
I don't know if I'll continue the series, it might just be a bit too much for me.
I hated this book! I know that's a strong word but dislike doesn't come close! The heroine in this book was nothing more than an insipid puppet. She has no backbone and seems dense. She never seems to realize that all the men her life have suppressed her including the "heroes". Please don't even get me started on those overbearing egotistical, sadistic, shallow excuse of "alien" men! I gave this book one star only because I wasted my time reading this non-romantic, orgy packed, twisted book. I have to give it to the author for at least keeping a semblance of my attention! Don't get me wrong I LOOOOve erotica and alien heroes but this was basically snuff porn in writing! Also side note I love domination but this was brainwashing. She never has a chance at finding her own sexuality outside of a man and it just sad!
Amelia is an artist from Earth, sent to paint on another planet. Earth now is very religious and controlling in severe punishment for anything beyond sex after marriage for procreation only. She sees Rajhir, Flencik and Breft at one of her art events. They're looking for compatible women because their people are on the verge of dying. They find what they need with Amelia.
They were sweet in the beginning and if they would have kept that up and did the bondage stuff for fun I probably would have liked this book a lot more. When she's worried about other Earth women and won't accept them that is when the sexual torture begins. I felt that if the men had just told her what was going on at their planet, they could have stopped their sexual torture. But strapping things to her while they slept and hurting her and then healing her, they felt this was okay? I read a similar book by Kaitlyn O'Connor that I didn't enjoy because of scenes like this and this book is pretty much the same. They're torturing her but she's falling in love with them? Another thing I don't understand. Just because they say I love you and then hurt you, that doesn't mean they really love you at all. In fact I think the book didn't really need the sexual torture section at all. It would have been a much better, sweeter book without it. They could have some fun with BDSM, they didn't have to make her bawl.
2.5 RATING- This had the bones to be a decent guilty pleasure sci-fi romance but there just was too much sex and not enough story. Did I find the double dicked alien ménage story interesting? Sure, for the first 100 pages. After that, not so much. I admit to skimming the sex scenes in the last quarter or more of the book. I'm intrigued enough by these aliens though to take a look at the next book to see if it works any better for me.
I never thought I could read a book that actually had too much sex. It got to the point I wanted to throw my Kindle down and say "Leave me alone, I have a headache!" It exhausted me just reading it. I love sci-fi and the base of the story was very interesting but it just couldn't support the immaturity of the heroine and the constant sex at the worst possible moments.
Things I love - seven foot tall Alpha Aliens who don't take no for an answer. Yes, I love that. What do I love more than seven foot tall Alpha Aliens? Three seven foot tall Alpha Aliens who don't take no for an answer! Yes, three of them. I love futuristic, dubious consent alien stories, especially when said aliens are beautiful male specimens and have a shortage of women on their home planet and will do whatever is necessary to gain the Earthling female's consent (in a show of male prowess and caring all at the same time).
The concept is quite titillating. If there were really such a place as Kalquor, I'd totally volunteer to go there. No forced consent needed! But no one asked me and I don't live in the same reality as Amelia Ryan did - an Earth that is ruled by a fanatically religious government that is TERRIFIED of any kind of sexuality, especially female sexuality. It's a very repressed society and there's lots of hate and fear reserved for Kalquor. Presumably because there is some kind of weird history between Kalquor and Earth and the government spreads all kinds of propaganda to encourage ignorance, hate and fear in order to protect against Kalquor's unsavory morals. And really any and all unsavory morals. Except for the corruption of the government officials, of course. Their unsavory morals are okay, because ... they said so.
Amelia Ryan is an artist living on Plasius (a friendly planet). While at a party she has an encounter with a Kalquorian clan. The Kalquorians are looking for mates who can reproduce with their species to protect their people from extinction, since, of course, there's a shortage of females on their planet. The story is all about their seduction of Amelia. There is lots of hot alien sex with some surprises. There is a little bit of [hot] dubious consent and angst for Amelia, since she is still struggling with her sexuality and dealing with the teachings of the repressed religious government.
I really enjoyed the story, the interactions between Amelia and her clan of Kalquorians, and the alternate world that Tracy St. John created with all the worst case scenarios for Earth (fanatical religious government, repression, censorship, leading through fear and hate... propaganda, etc.). It might be a somewhat cliche storyline, but it was well done and (as I said in another review) cliches work for a reason... they appeal to many people and I'm no exception to that.
Having said all this, I need to also mention that I had to start skipping the sex scenes. After a while they started to get in the way of the story for me and I skipped ahead because I wanted to know what happened next. Unfortunately, this issue followed me throughout the rest of the series (I read up to Alien Slave). I had to skip over many a sex scene. But I enjoyed the story and continued to read the books, so I'm, obviously, not complaining too much. Just was kind of hoping for better placement of sex scenes, maybe less in quantity and more in quality. Better integration into the storyline, so it doesn't take away, but add something... That was just my opinion on that matter.
I'll provide you with an example of where the sex scene placement [and quantity] got a bit out of hand...
Since this is also a spoiler, you will have to go to haydeereviews.blogspot.com to read my example. I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't read the book or doesn't want to see the spoiler. So if you're still curious check out my blog page, otherwise, you are safe from spoilers. :)
Even with some of the sex scenes being unreadable, it was overall a worthwhile read and I give it 4 burning books.
Amelia Ryan is a famous artist from Earth (called Earthers in this story) who is on the planet Plasius doing a painting for them... far from the religious zealotry and restrictions of Earth. She hasn't fled Earth, but is relieved to be away, and had made good friends among the Placians.
Earth of her time is a religiously repressive planet where a rape victim is blamed as equally as a rapist, and the punishment is so brutal I don't want to detail it here. Although far from Earth, Amelia is 'monitored' to assure she adheres to the strict moral codes of Earth... no sex except in marriage, and then only to conceive.
The planet Plasius is an erotic, peaceable place that doesn't have/need a police force or army. They have trading treaties with a wide array of societies. Physical pleasure is acceptable, anywhere. This is difficult for Amelia to deal with, so she leaves parties early, etc. to avoid it. She was raised by a zealot mother that brow-beat the nastiness and immorality of sex into Amelia, even though two incidents of abuse in her past made Amelia aware that she enjoyed forced submission and even some pain. Amelia is terrified of the Earth authorities, and of going to hell. She is not a virgin due to her abusers, so she cannot marry on Earth without being found out and possibly sentenced to death... or worse.
At an unveiling ceremony for her painting to the Placians, she is stalked by three Kalquorians (three is a 'clan') looking for a Matara (equivalent to 'mate' or wife). They are tall, handsome humanoid males from a planet where females are no longer naturally born, and they hope the human women can breed with them to save their race, as there are strong genetic similarities. Amelia has no defense against them, and becomes captive to their desires.
The men seem to understand some of Amelia's hang-ups and problems, but realize that they must deal with Amelia's psychological state in a way that is effective for her.
I was surprised by this longer-than-expected erotic space fantasy. If you have read any of Kaitlyn O'Connor's 'Alien Breeders' series this story won't surprise you, although I would consider this a considerably lighter breaking-to-submission of the heroine.
Amelia's 'hold out' of accepting the Kalquorians as their Matara doesn't make much sense to me. Her stated reason is that she wishes to 'be free', but life on Earth isn't 'free'. She also knows that these are powerful, accomplished, wealthy men in their own society and her life would actually be better with their love and protection. Being their Matara would remove her from the earth authorities' control.
* Very Light BDSM * Sex, sex, sex scenes * Three hunks with interesting equipment * A morally tortured heroine (I wanna, but it's bad, and I'm a bad girl, but I should be a good girl) * Heroes that are patient, caring, but determined to get their way * Action, rescue, and revenge * A happy young soldier (gotta read the book to find out)
I recommend this to anyone who reads this genre, but also appreciates a good story... I will read it again one day. This could easily be developed into a series by this author... at least 4 or 5 books worth (or more).
Ms. St. John's book, 'Alien Rule' also features the Kalquorians. That's my next read!
I've had these and wanted to read for a while so maybe I had higher expectations.
This is a futuristic story and Earth has become a one-religion state and women have become second-class citizens where they are the ones punished for any sexuality. So lots of guilt and angst.
Amelia is working on an another planet and catches the eye of a Kalquoran clan. The Kalquorans population has been decimated by a virus and their women who weren't killed outright have been rendered infertile or very hard to carry to term. Since there are so many men, they have 'clanned' up and are looking for their Matara - the woman who will complete their clan and be mother to their children and they've found that 'Earther' women are breeding compatible.
I prefer mmf and mfm kinda gets on my nerves and on top of that, Amelia got on my nerves - she was pretty spineless, - yes, no, more, guilt.
And then there was a weird long recounting of Amelia being seduced/raped by the creepy next-door neighbor when she was 14.
I'm going to try which is mmm and see if I like that better.
Oh, what has the Earth come to? Have we all turned into prudes?
Amelia is a artist and is on the planet Plasius when she is noticed by a clan of Kalquornians. They've been looking for a Matara, a woman to round out their clan. Rajhir, Flencik & Breft have fallen in love with Amelia, and once they are assured she can breed with them she is theirs. Even if they have to tie her up and force orgasms on her to do it.
Suddenly 1500 earth women are kidnapped from all over the galaxy, by Kalquornians. They are desperate to perpetuate their race and earth women are the new black. Earth of course is not happy as sex is a crime punishable by death, they even have the Earth Purity and Morality Act to enforce it. Earth decides to make an example of Amelia. But the clan aren't going to let them.
I keep trying to find interesting books to borrow, but it seems I can only find this kind of "trash". (Please, no offence to readers or author is meant. It is just my way of tagging books that I did not like in any way.)
I do not understand this huge gap in erotic romance, on one side romance, on the other porn. I like sex in books, porn not so much. I like dominance, not humiliation (or rather I understand sub vs dom but I don't understand this description of pain nor accept humiliation. The last sends me into rage...)
In this book, moreover, the lead woman enjoyed being raped, as in really raped (at 14 and then again 21) while battered. Meh. I don't understand really, the sex was so much and so repetitive (to me boring) that I skipped page after page. The "plot" is the usual in this kind of stories, same for characters.
Repressed little human finds herself in the middle of a clan of 3 alien warriors who feel they should save her from her corrupt government. Oh and if they happen to kidnap, seduce and impregnate her too then all the better.
I enjoyed the first half of this book but I adored the second half. These aliens really know how to get their kink on!
The clan were all alpha male, strong, dominating but oh so protective. I love them!
Definitely be reading more of this series in the future.
This is a ménage BDSM book. If any of those topics are not of interest to the reader, I would highly recommend not getting this book. If this is something that the reader likes, then I believe this might be something worthwhile to think about.
Alien romance isn’t something that I’ve read a lot of. I saw that this book needed to be reviewed, I like ménages and BDSM, and so I figured I give it a whirl. This is book one of the Clans of Kalquor series.
This book was not bad. It was fast paced, the sex scenes were super-hot, and I really liked the topics that the author touched upon with the book.
In the book, earth took on a puritanical way of life, and sex was frowned upon outside of marriage, sex was for having children, women were looked down upon and had no rights. It sounds awful to be frank about it. On the planet Plasius, they have a much different viewpoint on sex. They are very free love, no inhibitions, everyone is fair game. No judgments, just pleasure. This is the total opposite of earth. I want to visit this place.
Amelia, the main character, has had some traumatic events that have happened to her while living on earth, which had changed her and made her leery about men, sex, and her enjoyment of it. She has a very sweet way about her, and is very strong emotionally; she just has some major “stuff” she needs to deal with.
The three men who want to be in Amelia’s life are Rajhir, Flenik, and Breft. The three men were each other’s counterpoints. Where one was gentle and accommodating, the other was more fierce and commanding. The third was the go between to the other two. He was a mix of fierce and gentle and he was the peace maker.
Rajhir is the peacemaker; he is the spokesman of the trio, or the clan. He is also a government official on his planet, so he needs to be able to talk to people and put people at ease. Flenik is a healer and has a gentle way about him. He loves to love, nurture and take care of people. Then there is Breft, he’s the protector of the clan, he’s very strong and keeps his feelings and emotions within when he is in protector mode. This trio of men makes a very appealing package and poor Amelia has no defense against them. I like that Amelia spends time with her men as a group and learn about them, but she also spends time with them individually and learns even more about them. She is able to develop intimacy between her and each of her men which is important so that they all feel close with each other.
I liked the descriptions that the author used to describe the planet Plasius. I almost felt like I was there looking around. It sounds beautiful. I also loved Amelia’s friend and ambassador to Plasius; Vrill. She had no inhibitions, was totally comfortable with herself, her sexuality, she owned her self-worth. I want to be like Vrill, that’s my goal.
If there are any readers out there that love alien romance, or want to try alien romance, give this book a try. It really was very good.
I could not hate a book more than i hate this book. Only reason i read so far was because i was hoping she would get angry and kill them.
This book is about a weak female who lets herself be controlled by these three males. Honestly, even if you forget the whole earth government thing, the males are controlling her. Yet she says she's in love. To me, if this was happening, I would plan my revenge, i would plan to find something sharp and stab until i could get away.
She told them she didn't want to be their Matara, yet they have sex with her and give her orgasim untill she finally gives in? If it was me, I'd offer them eggs and tell them to leave me alone. Thats all they are really after anyway. 300 years till they die out as a species, yet they can not spare a few months to be romantic and build trust and love? WHAT THE HELL! YOURE A LIAR!
I got so sick of the sex scenes I just skipped over them. Why isn't she a strong female? Why does having sex and enjoying it make her weak? This book feels like a sick mans perverted dream.
Three males. Alien, groomed, false love, species dieing out, stolen, forced, manipulation, non-consensual, unconscious medical act, exploited, controlled, feelings influenced, drugged, sexual abuse, spanking, repressed, grape, no safe place, m/m, tied down.
On paper, this book has all the makings of my favourite kind of sci-fi erotica. Sexy and powerful male aliens grouped in 'clans' of three who are desperately searching for compatible females to breed with to save their species from extinction. Sounds perfect, right? Unfortunately, there were certain issues I simply could not ignore, no matter how much I tried to overlook them. For one, the heroine starts off relatively well (an artist living off-world to escape life under the fanatically religious government back on earth), yet almost as soon as she comes into contact with the alien ''heroes'', she degenerates into a timid mouse with no backbone. I'll admit, I'm not well-versed in S&M, however, I've never for one moment assumed that just because a woman is submissive or a masochist in bed then that means she must act like pathetic downtrodden, spineless being outside of it. Yet, to me, that's exactly what is projected in this novel. Second, the portrayal of the heroes was controversial, to put it mildly. While most dominant males in erotica are intriguing despite (or perhaps because of) their flaws, these three came across as xenophobic, power-hungry narcissists who see the heroine purely as a toy and not as a person. I never found myself falling for them; I'm not sure they had any redeeming characteristicsics. They just seemed far too manipulative from the outset and so uncaring of her wishes or wants. For her part, the heroine is seemingly aware of their 'wolf-in-sheep's-clothing' nature and makes several half-hearted attempts to resist them before eventually, giving in. Ultimately, though, the worst part about Alien Embrace is that it takes dubcon to whooooole new levels. Be warned: this book features references towards under-age rape, non-consensual sex scenes between the supposed 'heroes' of the text and the heroine, and other largely non-con takes. Sad to say that even the consensual scenes between the heroine and the triad were completely lacking in sexual tension and had zero believable chemistry.
Anyway, there's loads more I could say about this text, but I'll stop here.
In summary: The heroine was a wimp, the heroes were unlikeable (quote ''rapey''), and the sex was overblown and excessive. Yet, the potential was there. I'm sure many other readers, who may not have read as many novels of this sub-genre as I have (and aren't also put off by the rape and dub-con scenes), will find this an enjoyable and sensual read.

I didn't finish this book... I gave up at about half through. The sex was too much, too often and too painful sometimes, I couldn't for the life of me imagine it was great. The heroes turned for the worse and the heroine annoyed me. Her panic and desire to escape was stupid and almost crazy. She had no family, she stood on the verge of losing the ability to paint to a painful health condition (and the heroes offered a cure)and Earth, her home, was a society of religious fanatics who would have tortured and killed her if they had found out she had sex outside marriage. The book should have ended when the heroine found out she was a compatible mate to the heroes, accepted to go to their planet, get cured, paint and live happily ever after in sexual bliss. Instead, she panicked like she had no brain whatsoever, and then the heroes became, well... villains. They started to sexually torture her, hurt her (even if they healed her afterwards) and drug her. That was enough for me, I couldn't read any more. I didn't even care what happened to them. Not one bit.
I have to agree with most of my fellow readers and give this book 2 thumbs down.
It felt very fake and I hated the dystopian Earth of this story...who could believe that we would become religious fanatics and prudes who treat women like dirt.
Amelia is so conflicted and for me, she didn't come across as a well developed character. I liked the idea of the Kalquorian Klans with their groups of 3 super hot guys but they were also a bit one-dimensional. Rajhir is the leader and more dominant, Flencik is the doctor and tenderhearted while Breft is the young rebel and protector.
Can you also believe that I didn't enjoy all the sex...yes this is me...super slut here and even I got bored with all the sex. I just couldn't get into it...especially with some of the forced seduction stuff.
Some parts were just disturbing. Like the clinical way the aliens viewed her as an egg donor and especially her vivid flashback of molestation by her neighbor as a young teen. That kind of grossed me out.
DNF at 32%--basically it's been one long sex scene so far, and even I have limits. However, I would recommend the M/M spin-off series, Clan Beginnings, for those who like aliens with two cocks who have tons and tons of sex, but also do other things like solve crimes or fight space invaders.
