Terror At The Temple - Book 3 : Dragon Fantasy Series
Nath Dragon continues his journey to save and release from cages all the dragons in Nalzambor. He has decided to go it alone, sneaking away from his trusted dwarf friend Brenwar, but soon he realizes his mistake. He is being followed by the Princess Selene's goons who at every turn will slowly lead Nath Dragon to his possible death at her hands. Along the way Nath is saved by a young farmer, named Ben. Their friendship is one of Nath trying to train Ben in protecting himself and becoming a trusted helper to Nath. Ben, Nath soon realizes, is no warrior, isn't dependable and sadly he decides Ben can't follow along on Nath's hunt for dragons. Before this separation can come about, Nath finally finds the temple where many dragons are being held. A great battle ensues which I enjoyed. The story runs well, but long and drawn out descriptions of scenery and dialogue, as mentioned before, extends the books pages and drags out the story. I feel I have invested good money in purchasing this entire series and even though it isn't perfect I will continue to read each book and give my reviews. Now on to book 4. Kathy Barber Doyle - 5/29/2018
Just brilliant, an absolute hilarious tale where we find Nath Dragon in all kinds of trouble, the characters and worldbuilding is so good, the singing dwarfs will have you dancing round your house, the tunes are so catchy, Nath continues his quest to fulfill his dream of becoming a dragon, but when he sneaks off on Brenwar, he ends up captured and has to fight a duel to the death against a Lycan, struggling he finds help from an unlikely source, a young human, a farmers son Ben saves Nath's Life with his own sword, when they escape they run into more trouble, while Nath is getting his ass kicked, Brenwar continues his search for him, what's not to love about this series, it's fun, good humoured and so much action it's impossible not to enjoy it, the narration and sxf continues to be excellent, highly recommend...😁🐲⚔
Am In the third book, Nath and his new dragon arm (just the one) get bored in the dwarven city during its festival and decides to escape their “supervision”. He doesn’t realise the clerics are after him and soon track him down while he searches for dragons to rescue. More excellent narration that perfectly nails the tone for the book, not taking it took seriously while keeping the drama levels appropriately. There is also a good amount of background content: muttering voices, battle noises and dramatic music when necessary. Not the heights of the genre but a brilliant enjoyable story
Dragon is at it again, now with a new companion Ben he travels to a city where he gets into a scrap and ends up all busted up again. While there he looks up his half elf mage friend and his beautiful mate. Unhappy with their help he takes off to track down a possible kidnapped dragon. The action is a real page turner with what will happen next and will Dragon make it out alive again. Can't say much for Finnius.
The chronicles of dragon Format: audiobook Narrator: Lee Alan This narrator has a good voice, easy to listen to and good delivery. He suits this series.
Bk 3: Terror at the temples. Nath Dragon learns a hard lesson when he sneaks away from Brenwar his dwarf companion, will this teach him to listen to Brenwar’s wise council instead of acting without thinking? Can Nath fight evil without killing? His future and the future of everyone relies on it. A fun enjoyable adventure.
Nath is back at it, trying to save the Dragons and himself. I love our new character, Ben. He's bright and a good kid, it'll be exciting to see how he develops.
It is unfortunate that Goodreads does not list the omnibus for that is how I read these as one large book. So that is how I will be offering my feelings of this series.
First of I will say that book one is obviously a novella. Having said that it does what it was intending to do and that is introduce you to this marvelous world the Craig has made and an idea of what was wrong with it.
I had read in some of the other critiques that these books were meant for young adults I honestly enjoyed them. The plot was complex. The growth of the main character could go one way or the other through then entire book and you never knew which way. The fighting was well played out with not the good guy always winning but a flicker of hope still remained. For a teen this book is an excellent coming of age book to read. And even for adults, I see no reason why we cannot not enjoy the depth and growth within, for we are always charged with this type of charge every day in our lives.
I have enjoyed each and every one of these book and glad that I got them all at once and it is my hope that for any age you will find the courage that I found through these pages.
My 14 year old son listened to this book and really liked it a lot. He can finish them in about a day. He said this is the best one yet out of the series, there's more magic, a bit more violence and more deaths. There's still humor which adds the needed comic relief and three new characters are introduced in this book. These are great for kids into D&D, fantasy and adventure. There is no bad language, overly graphic violence or any romance scenes. Overall he really enjoyed it and is on to book four. I would say these are for the tween to teen reader.
—I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Once again, our hero Nath Dragon, has set off to rescue dragons, this time giving Brenwar the slip, as he enjoys a festival in his home city, but acquiring an eager, but bumbling, human to assist him in finding trouble, before it can find him.
I want to like these books, but the writing is clunky, the plots predictable, typos continue and since there are seven more we can be assured that someone will always pull Nath Dragon's fat out of the fire for him.
Maybe I'll revisit this series, someday....or maybe not....but for now I'm going to take a pass.
Started becoming the same thing over and over. I am 3 books invested so I will press on and see if book 4 picks up. Love the dragons and the plot but he keeps writing the same thing over and over, getting bored.
enjoying the series, started reading each book singly and then reading something else in between but am now reading the one after the other as I get more invested in the characters.
