This is an updated version of a previously published novel. Settling down had never been on Jaeden Jefferson's radar. The entrepreneur has been too focused on trying to make his first million. But after going out on just a few dates with his cousin's best friend Alexis Shire, he can think of nothing else but making her his wife. And what Jaeden wants, Jaeden usually gets. Alexis Shire has been focused on what she believed was most important...getting her Master's degree. She never thought she would meet her Mr. Right and marry so quickly...and she soon learns it is one thing to be blissfully in love, but quite another to plan a wedding. The road from carefree lovers to husband and wife is paved with bumps and detours, and as Alexis and Jaeden struggle to cope with one dilemma after another, the stress starts to take its toll. Will they make it down the aisle and reclaim the total bliss they shared before becoming engaged?
Great read. Alexis is spoiled but I can understand why she was overwhelmed. I’m glad both her mom & mother in law realized they were overbearing with the wedding plans. I’m glad Jaeden secures his business deal. Stephanie is a true friend/sister.
This book started out okay. Jaeden and Alexis had a whirlwind romance. Then Alexis lost her damn mind while she was planning the wedding. She was a perfect example of how NOT to act. Demanding, mean, controlling. Yet, somehow she ended up having Jaeden and both their mothers apologize to her. Her behavior was ridiculous and it made me not want to be happy for her.
I think Alexis was a spoiled and controlling young woman 🚺. Who felt everything had to be done her way or no way. In Jaeden she found a praying and hard working man which she is learning to communicate with.
