Lizzy has no idea she is about to discover that her intuition is spot-on. While running errands, Lizzy walks in the wrong place at the right time and secretly witnesses Marcus in the midst of a romantic rendezvous with another woman. Now, she is left with an agonizing decision whether to tell Kay, who has just confessed she and Marcus are having money troubles, or keep the discovery to herself. But as soon as Lizzy chooses to tell Kay everything she knows, the two women slowly begin to unravel Marcus’ deception, unwittingly unleashing a psychopath from his silent prison. In this chilling romantic thriller, the truth leaves two women fighting for their lives as a predator driven by his evil nature embarks on a deadly quest for revenge.
Author of Editor's & Reader's Choice, "The Silver Spoon", "Kismet," Editor's Choice, Rising Star novel "Retribution" and "Karmic Debt." I am only the catalyst for whom Lizzy Wallace uses to get her stories out there. :)
I met this author at a book festival. She had a series of 4 books sitting at her table. I read the synopsis of Retribution and it looked like it would be interesting. But it was the 3rd book in a series. Do I have to read them all? I don't really like to read series books. I have a to read list a mile long. She told me the books were a series but also stand alone. I really wanted to try one of them. She was a nice lady and didn't push. My husband encouraged me to buy two so I bought this one and the 4th book. It took me a few weeks but I finally got around to reading Retribution. Was it going to hold my interest? Would I feel lost because I hadn't read the first two. The only thing I can say about not reading the whole series is, I'm sorry I didn't. This book was fabulous. A quick read that I couldn't set down. It was heart pounding and thrilling. Yes, I could predict some of it. But it was still thrilling. There were events I didn't see coming. Just excellent. Don't be like me. Read all four so that you don't miss any of this authors stories. I feel like Lizzy lives next door to me. She could be my neighbor. My Friday night martini buddy. A new friend. WOW. Just WOW.
