"The Four-Legged Prophet, Defender of the People, will lead us, will bind us . . ." Thus begins the ancient prophesy the Guardians discover deep within the Halls of Remembrance.
But what does it mean?
Both Magical and Mundane worlds have rallied around Cypher Thomas Byrne and a new pact between the Faun Clans and the Guardians gives hope that the World will be safe for everyone, human or not, and even a truce with the Warmaster might be within reach. But, do the Guardians really want it? "...and the Four-Legged Prophet will deliver us to darkness . . ." With Thomas searching for his parents, the enemies of Guardians Inc. apparently in retreat and peace seemingly within reach, the most urgent questions will be: Who is the Four Legged Prophet?
"... when the ashes of the world have settled and life feels confident again, the Wraith shall return, and the Four-Legged Prophet will come back with them...." As the world rallies around Guardians Inc. ancient magical forces awaken and battle lines are drawn, the war for the Book of Concord draws near and at the center conflict will be The Four Legged Prophet.
This can be a fast pace read along with a nice slow read. I did both. I quickly read this book and the two before it about a year ago then discovered there is one more book, disappointed. Only because the series is Great! I love how it involves all types of creatures magical and non, the hidden behind the scenes life of them, makes a real great story line.
This book has plenty of action adventure and even a touch of romance not broken with foul language and smut. It makes for a very interesting read and I cant wait for the next one. For those interested in magic mythology and technology mixed together this book is awesome.
This Book is awesome! Tom has these visions about his parents. These visions soon lead him to a quest where he has to team up with his grandfather who unfortunately is another side. So when Tom doesn't find his parents, but someone different, Tom fights his grandfather and mistakenly stabs him and leaves him with a fatal wound. Now Tom is more dedicated to fighting his grandfather more than ever to protect his world.
It is just amazing how every second of the story is jam packed with action. If you liked the first two books you will love this one. It is heart breaking at times and joyful at others. You will definitely shed some tears unless your heart is made from stone. It's a great book but you should start from the beginning of the series because you will have a hard time understanding what the plot means and is. Nevertheless it is one great book.
The plot thickens in is book. The Cyphers call a truce so grandfather and grandson can work together while there is internal strife with the Guardians. Learning more about the Lord Protector is a good revelation. The story seems to plod on for the first half of the book then it picked up. I over all enjoyed this installment and would still recommend the series.
This book held my attention and flowed in a way that made sense of what the writer was trying to say. I was able to follow along in such a way that I could see the connection of thoughts as the theme and characters developed a clearer identity I could relate to. A good read...
This series isn't to be missed! The story is absolutely enthralling. The research on mythology is sound, and the characters are compelling. You're not going to want to put this down. I have no idea how I'll be able to wait for Book 4.
Excellent universe build-out, dynamic characters, lots of great creatures. The one huge drawback is the obvious lack of a good proofreader with an adequate knowledge of grammar (the misuse of past imperfect is driving me nuts!).
