Phantom Wolves: Urban Fantasy

Rate this book
Kat Sokol never dreamed her excursion to get her mind off her latest relationship failure was more than just a diversion. But when she buys some magical tiles with moving wolves that only she can see, she's plummeted into the plot of the evil Yen Sin. The tiles bring her face-to-face with her birth family, and sends her and Eric, her best friend, scrambling to save their own skins and the town they so dearly love.

Stopping the dragon cloning puts Kat on the front lines and right in the sights of Mr. Likowsky, Yen Sin's hired gun, but stealing the dragon egg they've worked hard to reproduce has its advantages. Kat finds herself adopted by the most unlikely of allies, Yen Sin's Black Dragon.

Phantom Wolves is a fast paced urban fantasy, with twist and turns that will keep you flipping the pages.

I've been writing since the 7th grade. My first book Quicksilver was released in March 2010. I look forward to two more books shortly, Phantom Wolves, and urban fantasy and Tawny's Ghost, another paranormal romance. I love to interact with fans, so feel free to contact me.

I didn’t know what to expect when I got to read this novel. Man was I shocked when I got into it. I have been getting more into the paranormal stuff, mostly vampires, zombies and the like, but this novel just has the goods, hands down! Joy Spraycar has made a nice universe here, one that I was instantly sucked into and enjoyed being in, what a well-crafted novel. I have had an intense week of reading one great work after another. It isn’t that I am just in a good mood; these novels have helped put me there. Okay give some props to my wife and kids as they always put a smile on my face, but when you have that plus a really good novel going, life is good. Here is some of what I can give you in respect to this awesome work:
“Trestle Press is proud to present this full length novel from Joy Spraycar. Magic, dragons, and wolves make for one electrifying tale of suspense, magic, action and fantasy. Spraycar has created a new world that is filled with amazing creatures, characters and a very moving plotline. Find out why many are already buzzing about this incredible novel.”

And here is a little something on the author herself:

Alright I am going to go out on limb here, if you have read this far I was saving this for down here. Plain and simple, I am going to have this in my top ten for the 2nd quarter; this novel is that good a read. This novel is something I am able share with my wife, my older kids, and my youngest daughter that just turned 12. I like that a lot. She crafted a story here that doesn’t need any of the extra edge some may give something like this to carry her story, she didn’t need to spice anything up, she just flat out laid out a wonderful new world, intense characters, and powerful message. I for one like all that and the way she goes about her business. To not read this would be a mistake; you would be passing up an awesome read. There are plenty of full length novels to buy these days; this one needs to be at the top of your list for all the right reasons: quality, quality, quality the three things all readers look for when they are making a purchase. Dragons, wolves and magic together, a powerful combination in the able hands of Joy Spraycar.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It kept my attention for the whole time. There was quite a lot of action. Only one cuss word towards the end of the story. Some kissing.

There were quite a few punctuation errors, but for some reason they didn't bother me too much.
