Elephant Eats the Profits

Rate this book
Smart moms know how kids’ minds grow upon sweet pickles!

Enormous Elephant loves to eat and eat and eat and eat – but she can’t have her cake and eat it too!

Sweet Pickles is a series of 40 classic children's books based on 26 animal characters living in the town of Sweet Pickles. There’s one character for each letter of the alphabet and each has an exaggerated human personality trait. One-by-one, the characters finds themselves faced with one of life's common pickles, but just because a pickle is a problem doesn’t mean it can't be handled! The life lessons that come out of each character's pickle impart basic values, ethics and social skills to children.

The new enhanced ebooks series creates an entertaining and engaging experience for children, while being an educational reading tool for parents and the whole family.

It must be tough to be an elephant and have a huge appetite. Elephant runs the local grocery store. People buy stuff from her, but she eats so much that she eats up the profits. She tries to have sales to encourage people to buy more stuff, but she doesn’t know how to do that. She sells 1 banana and people get 2 free. Not a great business model. The town comes together and helps Elephant advertise and people come shopping. All hail capitalism.

Elephant is sweet and she just needs more food than most, that’s how it goes.

The nephew thought this was kinda silly, but he liked seeing Fish fly flyers out of an airplane. He gave this 3 stars. The niece felt about the same. She gave this one 3 stars. I love the series so I still gave it 4 stars as it’s such quirky fun. We have fun reading these together in the summer. It’s our thing.

My favorite sweet pickles book when I was about 5. Such a timeless collection for very young kids. Adorable pictures and nice lessons to learn about sharing, saving money, etc.
